Someone asked, so here it is... Beccas costume was "itching" her so she had leggins on... Mental not to self to find a way to either soften the costume, or get leggins or tights that match... Any hints on softening it??

I don't think the pillows were feather pillows .... I had my best ever nights' sleep on the Disney Magic. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. I hate feather pillows too .... and we had them in Manchester.

Corinna is back from her cruise .....

WELCOME HOME CORINNA

Looking forward to all the details :woohoo::woohoo:
yes, ,me too, cheers re pillows.
Does anyone know why we don't arrive at Castaway Cay until 11:45? That's 2 hours later than on a regular Eastern Caribbean trip; the Eastern I looked at left St. Thomas at 3:45 (same time as we leave Tortola) and arrived at CC at 9:45. Just curious if anyone knows. THANKS!
Dont know, its a bit naff,:confused3
Someone asked for a photo, so I had DH take one... It isn't real easy to see Beccas costume, and it was itching her legs so she kept her pants on... Must go and find tights for her to wear onboard so she doesn't get too itchy - otherwise she will refuse to wear it... (Any suggestions on how to soften the heck out of a costume?)

Sue, thats a mini me of my costume your dd is wearing:goodvibes

We went opposite directions - I was born in Gilroy (the garlic capitol of the world!) and grew up in Los Angeles! My undergrad degree is from UCLA. (What happens when the smog clears? UCLA!!!).

Wow, small world is it not? I have gone many times to the Garlic Festival in Gilroy. DD Samantha has several friends who went to UCLA. Beautiful campus!!

My dad was born in Alhambra in 1924 when that was about the end of Los Angeles. He went to Cal Tech. My Mom was a University of Michigan grad with a degree in Math who had to come to California to get a job. They met at JPL and the rest is history. We came to Northern California when I was still a child. I went to Stanford and DH went to Berkley.

Just my thoughts...

Two other quick posts:

First, I can't imagine the maids in a hotel even touching anything. I think the Westin should give you some other compensation besides replacing your items.

Second, I loved Becca's costume. How about a full underslip for her to wear that would keep the fabric from touching her skin?

Just my thoughts...

All in all, I was not amused!! Luckily the hotel sets out a Wii each evening for guests to use, so I got my frustrations out on the Wii before dinner and felt somewhat calmer.

:scared1:

DH and I both have a reservation at the U232 Hotel too. We are planning on arriving in Barcelona on the 17th. Just keeping an eye on airfares right now. We have friends who's on this cruise too and she e-mailed us about this hotel and we checked it out and decided to go with it. We are still in the planning stages on a lot of things.

WELCOME!!!!

We sleep so well on the Magic also. I cannot wait to get back into MY bed!! :goodvibes:cloud9:

Very cute costumes!! Becca is adorable. I don't like itchy either.... Leggings will be fine and will keep her a bit warmer at the deck party.

Hi Linda,

I called DCL the other day, their answer was, IMHO dumb.
But here it is: we will be traveling a longer distance from Tortola to CC, the "harbor master" wont allow the ship in any earlier then the posted 11:15am.

The time changed again???
:lmao: By the next change, we just might do a drive by and we can wave at CC:lmao:

Well it doesn't give long to get the barbie started does it?:lmao:

Not sure we will bother getting off - well perhaps for a little walk. We aren't beach people really, though we do love the island.

DH and I want to try the Pelican Plunge on CC. Anyone else?

Sue, those costumes are great! I don't have any hints to soften it though...sorry.

My DH is very excited because Iron Man 2 comes out at midnight. He has tickets to go with his friends so I hope he has a great time! I wouldn't mind seeing it at some point, but I don't need to see it on opening night.

Posting for my mom (Tru) who is right here beside me: She's PIF!:banana::banana:

I'm thinking a bike ride and a bit of time at Serenity Bay might be good. We have not yet done the new section of the bike trail.

It will make lunch at Cookies late, won't it? :confused3
