OMG! Thanks so much Krisann. No truer statemnt has been said. And since we played that $70.00 bingo game, I now know I won't be playing bingo this trip. I'll play it for luggage!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

The Bingo was fun but $70 was just a little much for only FOUR games!!!
My opinion only.

I just resigned myself that $50 for the second bag is still better than what we could have paid if we had had Disney set up our air with probably a stop over to Barcelona. My biggest concern is the weight. Hoping I can keep each bag to only 50 pounds.:goodvibes

Pirate costumes for the girls of the house have arrived :dance3: and been tried on, and they fit!!:dance3: We can leave at any time now!:dance3:

Pardon my outburst, please resume the normal chatter... :rotfl:

Sue

Sue...I understand your excitement. I had my costume made for our Dec cruise and that was with the thinking that I would have it for this cruise too. That made the expense worth it. At least this time I can wear it all evening. We ended up eating with Deb Wills on Pirate night so I had to wait and change after we were done at Palo. I just didn't have the nerve to try and wear it to Palo :lmao::lmao:

Ok so now the Fish Extender list are now posted i can see i am now officially a "PINEAPPLE"

Just a quick cry for help tho, it seems that amongst my fellow "Pineapple" are boys aged 12,and 13 .........so anyone got any smart ideas of what teenage boy's like???

Apart from teenage girls of course :rotfl:

I have ideas for younger children as I have a young nephew and neice, (although she's 8 going on 18!!!)

Don't teenage boys hate everything???, "Stupid Europe, Stupid neo-classical architecture”
(I’m joking of course):rotfl:

(I know all teenagers secretly love neo-classical architecture);)

So without soiling your own treats, what might I look to give slightly older kids

HTH!

We've been trying to rebook our flight home from the 2nd to the 4th to stay with the Mouse a bit longer. We got some good news today that our travel agent has negotiated the exhorbitant fee of $135/ticket down to $50/ticket to chage our flights with a $51 credit so it's looking favourable! We just need to get final confirmation tomorrow. So excited to be doing the Oct 3rd MNSSHP! I think we are going to be as economical as possible (after the excesses on the ship) and book 2 rooms at Pop, and only go into the parks on the 2nd and the 3rd for the party only. It seemed so wrong to be so close to the Mouse and not go!

It does feel so wrong to be so close and not to even go for just a little! We're going on the second and the third and doing the party on the third. I have comp tickets from working at the Disney Store that we'll use so at least that is covered. I'm so excited for the cruise, but I'm also really excited for WDW too! :)

Try soaking the dried cranberries in OJ for about 15 minutes and then adding orange zest. Keeps them very moist!

Really good idea! Thanks, I was going to soak them in water to soften them a bit, but OJ will be way better!

We have 3 days left on a 10 day never expire we bought a few years ago and one Give a Day pass. We also have waterpark passes from old tickets we have not used. We usually go in Dec or Jan and it is just too cold for waterparks, so we may use them and go take a look at both waterparks. Then we have my cousin's daughter who is CM and hopefully she will sign us in one day and play with us. That should round out our week there. :thumbsup2

We got some excitment today. We got a delivery with our Mickey's Not So Scary Haloween Party Tickets :woohoo:
Our travel agent also called to say that we are elligable for the free dinning :cheer2: Things are finally starting to come together for our trip!!!

Can't wait for September to arrive!!!

Hello Friends

Does anyone know if the recent EBTA Navigators have been posted online anywhere yet??

Can't wait to see some of thier activities as i'm guessing ours wil be pretty much the same.

SW

I will try to scan mine in tomorrow if no one else has - I am feeling better and will try to organize my things and start scanning.

A very very big favor to ask!

Is there anyone out there with a daughter in the 14-16 year age range that my daughter - 15 - can become friends with before the cruise. On our cruise in October she had 2 great girls she hung out with on the ship and still talks to them on Facebook but on the EBTA she never really found a friend to hang out with. She met people but . . .

So here is a little about her - can give you more info if you PM me -

She is 15 and will be in the 10th grade on the cruise
We homeschool
She loves kareoke (sp?) on the cruise
her favorite character is Tinkerbell

if there is a chance we can connect daughters up please let me know!

Thanks in advance

Krisann

I think in the end we won't extend our trip. All the costs for our little family exceed $1500 for 2 nights/3 days, and that's staying at POP. The cancellation fees and tickets for MNSSHP are more than $500 right there. With food and lodging on top, plus park tickets, it's just too much to justify. I think I would rather we put it towards our next trip, which is to California for 3 weeks next fall or early 2012. I'm sad to miss out on an extended trip, but I'm not willing to pay that for what we'll get out of it. I'm happy for all the rest of you who are going to see The Mouse after our lovely cruise!

Many people have talked about activities in the ports, so here's my plan for Barcelona to start that discussion:

Arrive BCN a.m. 17 Sep, taxi to U232 Hotel for check-in (or store bags if too early :confused3 ).
Metro Blue Line to Sagrada Familia (Gaudi architecture) for a look.
Metro Blue Line to Le Pedrera (also Gaudi) for a look.
Metro Green Line to Columbus Monument, followed by a stroll up Las Ramblas stopping for lunch (tapas and sangria at La Zarzuela?), winding up at Hard Rock Cafe for 1700 DIS meet :drinking1 :rockband:
Metro Red Line to Poble Espanyol de Montjuic (Spanish Village), then Montjuic Fountain (Magic Fountain) :rainbow:
Finishing up with dinner at Filigrana then back to the hotel! :faint:

OCD? :scared1:

I completely understand...California for three weeks, that is so cool! Is a visit to Disneyland in the mix?

DH is arguing against it, but c'mon, of course! :goodvibes

We're hoping to take the train from Toronto to Vancouver (4 days) then make our way down the coast to visit family in San Fran. The train is pricey, but VIA has sales every now and then that give great discounts on their first class sleeper car fares that would make it doable. It's supposed to be an awesome, awesome train trip (top 10 in the world). :cool2:

That sounds like a lot of fun! Have you ever been to DL? I love the train too...too bad there isn't a train to Spain from the US! LOL!

This sound similar to my hoped for plans on 09/17. :rotfl: I get to BCN at 7:55am, shuttle to hotel 10:30ish, store bags, hit the hop on hop off bus, HRC for afternoon drink meet, more sites, late dinner, sleep??? I had really wanted to do the segway tour on Saturday afternoon, but if DCL isn't letting us off after we get on the ship, then that is out.

This is the hop on hop off I am looking at, it has three routes;

Yes, go with 3 weeks in Cali, I so want to go back, 2 days was so not enough! Would be cool to try Virgin America from YYZ to LAX, those seats look awesome,:cloud9:.

You should check out the hop on hop off tour. It's been years, but IIRC, it visits all of these spots. Have fun! Barcelona is just wonderful!

I'm still waiting on my waitlist to come through. I booked one night DVC, but really want to do the party on Sunday. If we had already bought our air though, we would not even dream of the party. I totally understand. You will have a ball in Cal.:woohoo:

Hmmm, diser's to segway with, who are you thinking of booking with?
