Stephanie and I did the martini tasting on our Dec cruise and it was $15 each if I remember. That was so much fun. Had the best buzz!!!!!

I would love to do a wine tasting as well.

Just wondering if there is a fee for the beer/wine/martini/tequila/cognac tasting sessions on board as I can't remember.

It would be great to have group sessions for this but how we would organise it ahead of time I don't know ..... might have to wait until we get there.

I think its like $15 per session or something like that. They did Brandy tasting on the last TA as well!

That sounds about right.

Thanks Marilyn ..... we will wait until that all important date (or dates) are behind us. But I am happy to still take names of those who want to link and have a DIS group dining area.

We'd like to link our dining with the group. We are main dining.

Thanks!!

Krista

Could the person who inquires about the private tasting see if we can do a drink of the day tasting, perhaps 1/4 servings of several of the themed drinks? I would be so up for that.

Well, I'm finally posting on here. We are joining you guys. I posted on website, but thought I'd let you know here too. It will be me, my husband, and two children.

I didn't see much info on the website as to what's going on. There's so many pages to look through. Any place where it's a quick update on everything? Especially, excursions, hotels, and such?

Thanks!
Lisa

Hey Lisa! Welcome. Post 3 & 7 on the first page has the up to date info at the mo about what were doing so far. Were still early planning on most things at the mo. Have a quick look - there's a list of people and which hotels they are in as well as a list of some activities were doing but feel free to suggest anything you fancy. Also Im collating info for the groups Navigator so any special occassions you are celebrating on the cruise (or you are going on the cruise to celebrate even if the date doesn't match) let me know and I can add the info. Other than that I'm sure people will keep you up to date

Thank goodness we won't be driving!!!! :lmao:

Thanks Corinna :hug::hug::hug:

It certainly is ..... I have been obsessing about it all day. Have almost decided on our Disney Hotel for the night we disembark .... as we are likely to be spending the late afternoon and evening in Magic Kingdom, we are thinking Wilderness Lodge ... I have always loved the theming, have never stayed there and the boat ride back to the Lodge would be a lovely way to end the evening. Plus we could have a yummy breakfast in Whispering Canyon before we leave for the airport.

We stayed at WL the first time we were onsite. We really liked it. The boat was a really nice method of transportation. I hear Artist Point is a very nice place to eat.

Today we had fantastic weather locally. It was warm and sunny (tulips shooting up!). I pruned rosebushes, tidied one of our gardens, made the kids pick up loose twigs, Paul washed the windows, and we just enjoyed being outside in t-shirts. It was 14c. Very nice for March. The birds were singing, the buds were ... budding, and green was starting to shoot up everywhere.

Makes our trip seem that much sooner: after spring comes summer comes cruise!

I'm arranging a candy bar swap. I thinking that if anyone interested brings a baggy of "snack size or mini" candy/chocolate bars then we can either meet to swap or do a FE drop?

I guess it depends how many people are interested.

So if you want to play - let me know :rotfl2:

I'll be bringing Moro bars

Count us in for this one!! Gus doesn't like chocolate so that just means more for me!! :rotfl:

OK so so far we have:

Stuff we still need volunteers for:

Also need some more people to volunteer rooms for the tour
where and when)

We can volunteer our CTGY 10 for the tour!!

Well I checked it out and it was rather expensive and then someone told me to rent DVC points .... don't have a clue how to go about doing that though as it seems really complicated. Might just stay somewhere a bit cheaper or wait around for a cheaper rate nearer the time.

Should I just list the new things we are interested in? If so:

Ladies' tea (Tru too)
All the tastings of alcohol  (DH, Tru and me, terapin)
Cabin tour: we are connecting cat 5s: 7080 (Tru) 7082 (terapin), and a GTY11.
PJ breakfast (willing to volunteer on this)
Ladies' lunch (Tru too)

I am also one of the coordinators for the FE Contest. I know that TotallyAngelic volunteered a prize. Any others?

We had wonderful weather also! We went out to the local Walmart and wore just t-shirts. Nice!!

Lots of folks rent over on the DVC board. Someone had said just look for someone to rent from someone that has been around a while, someone that has lots of posts...i.e. not new to the boards...

At this precise moment in 6 months time guess where we will be . .......

IN BARCELONA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

I think we'll be there. Looks like the flight that was set up from UK to Spain had been cancelled.

On the good news side of things: Candida and I have been talking.

Now that I got you attention, we have always been talking, no problems there :goodvibes

We have decided to stop off in Netherlands to visit other friends before heading to the UK to meet up with Lyn and Bob before the cruise. So, we are one step closer, booked our flight to Amsterdam today:yay::yay:

Our vacation will begin on Sept 3. Something tells be I'll be on autopilot when they expect me to be working nights on the 2nd. :rotfl:

I know it is on the website but... (Besides, the way today has been, why not one more post... :rotfl2:)

We are uo to 87 families!!! WAHOO!!! However, there are quite a few without a picture. If you are one of those - and you know who you are - please consider sending a photo in! They should be sent to photos@transatlanticpirates.com

Also - has anyone tracked people that have had to drop? I wanted to keep the roll call cleaned up, but have lost track. If anyone has a good memory and / or has been tracking, ban you let us know if anyone needs to be removed?

Thanks!!
Sue
