OMG... it took me over an hour to read all the posts!!! And I was gone from the Dis for a few days!!!:lmao:

Welcome all newcomers!

We wouldnt mind joining forces for dining, we are on late dining and we will be having "guests" a few nights. So a table for us (2) and "guests(2 or 3) a table for 8 or more is fine.

Add my name for the chocolate swap...I'll have to give that a thought or two.

And ... BTW... I took 1st place in the Photography division this year(again).

I'll post it asap. Some may know where the pic was taken :lmao:

Ann :rolleyes1

Well done Ann!

I am sure we cannot add the additional weight to our luggage. Bud light is not so light! :rotfl:

Thought that may be the case, Oh well, you'll all have to come to Australia to taste our beer!

I'm arranging a candy bar swap. I thinking that if anyone interested brings a baggy of "snack size or mini" candy/chocolate bars then we can either meet to swap or do a FE drop?

I guess it depends how many people are interested.

So if you want to play - let me know :rotfl2:

I'll be bringing Moro bars

I'm in! I will be bringing Caramello Koala's? Paula, what about Pinky's and Buzz bars, so yummy!!!!

I love this idea but luggage may be an issue on this one!

Silly airlines spoiling all our fun!!

I love this idea and definately like the FE exchange option. Im going to try and bring in some proper milky ways (not the American ones! They are Mars bars lol more like 3 musketeer bars)

We have Milky Bars which are just a white chocolate bar, then milky ways which are like a 3 musketeer.

At this precise moment in 6 months time guess where we will be . .......

IN BARCELONA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm finally posting on here. We are joining you guys. I posted on website, but thought I'd let you know here too. It will be me, my husband, and two children.

I didn't see much info on the website as to what's going on. There's so many pages to look through. Any place where it's a quick update on everything? Especially, excursions, hotels, and such?

Thanks!
Lisa

:welcome: on board Lisa and family.

So I just checked my reservation on the DCL site, coz I was looking at adding ground transport, there is a little message there offering me an upgrade for about $900, from a cat 10 to 9. It's not a good deal, just the same price as if I'd booked the 9. Just wondering if that's the norm, or if the ships not filling up as quickly as they would like?

There are several posts on the main board about Dream paid upgrade offers, I really think this is a new feature of the DCL site.

Pj

Not the only one, the ships Capt. is hopefully sober as well:lmao:

We don't drink either so unless they up the alcohol content in Root Beer we'll be there with you.

Jon

Hadn't thought about the Capt. That is good news!!!

Marilyn, you can be the safe walker program, lol.

Pj

That sounds very official PJ. Can I have one of those Disney lighted wands the CM's use for directing people???

Yeah I noticed this the other day. I think its to tempt people to upgrade when actually they aren't saving anything from just booking that category anyway! Saying per day it sounds great!

Hey count me in for the Chocolate Exchange.

Although i'm starting to worry with all the goodies and gifts i'm packing i won't have any room for my clothes! :rotfl:

Guess i'll just have to buy a new wardrobe from the onboard gift shop. I'll be the one dressed from head to toe in Cruise Line Wear. :laundy:

With the chocolate exchange on top of the food etc, I would be more worried I wouldn't have room IN my clothes!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Im still debating whether to just buy sweets in Gibraltar as they have the same ones as here lol

Oh the flashlight people!! They make me NUTS sometimes at DL directing us to go where it is physically impossible to go. :sad2:

Oh yes please!!!!!!

I'm going to be important!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

You are already important to some of us, Marilyn!!

O good idea, although the chocolate companies keep producing "limited edition" versions of some of their ranges so i'm going to keep my eye out and try to find something people might not have seen before.

Today we had fantastic weather locally. It was warm and sunny (tulips shooting up!). I pruned rosebushes, tidied one of our gardens, made the kids pick up loose twigs, Paul washed the windows, and we just enjoyed being outside in t-shirts. It was 14c. Very nice for March. The birds were singing, the buds were ... budding, and green was starting to shoot up everywhere.

Makes our trip seem that much sooner: after spring comes summer comes cruise!

Snap...we had 14c as well.

Hello again,

I can tell I have been away to long...again.

I think it is high time I spend more time here getting to know you folks. Especially since I am participating in some of the activities.:thumbsup2

We are just back from Vegas where we spent 4 days and nights walking the strip and casinos looking for the "Perfect" spot for my nieces wedding next March. Now I am back home looking at alternative spots, like Charleston SC, Biltmore Estates in North Carolina and Virginia Beach.

I write all this to ask...Does anyone have a suggestion for a "Warm" area to hold a wedding and reception that does not involve a cruise (groom's family gets sea sick).

Now to get to planning this cruise. Are you serious about the chocolate exchange? I am not a Chocolate lover but my DH and DSis (who be onboard) are, so I would be interested in participating.

That's a good idea. I had a 'whatyamacallit' what I was in CA in Februaryand loved it. Its a peanut-flavor crisp candy topped with a layer of caramel and dipped in chocolate has a name and a taste that's hard to forget! The candy bar is produced by Hersheys.

Does the swap have to be chocolate?

I forgot to ask. How many cand bars are we talking? I want to bring the new Milky Way Carmel.

I think a chocolate/candy bar swap would be so much fun! Count us in for that!

It is a beautiful day here in PA. The sun is shining and it's just wonderful.

I got the US Census in the mail today! Has everybody (well, who should be getting them) gotten theirs yet? I want to fill it out and send it off right away so I won't forget to do it! LOL!
