WOW, I've been in Los Angeles for 1 week and there is hours of reading to catch up, Sorry if I've missed anything really important!

As Lynne pointed out, some of us don't have lives. This is our connection to the outside world:lmao: I think we just want to test the limits of the DIS servers by going through another thread.

We've had some pretty severe flooding here, the highest it's been in over 100 years on the river we live on. Have a look at this,

Amazing! We didn't have any damage, but our next door neighbour has fish from the river in his pool!:scared1:

Glad to hear you didn't have any damage. That's one way of creating your own Living Seas aquarium. :goodvibes

So....I come all the way from Australia for 1 week in California and the closest I get to Disneyland is dinner at Ralph Brennan's, at least I got some Beignets!!!

I see we've lost a family and gained a few. We will also be pulling the kids out of school for just over 2 weeks, my girls are still young (8 & 9) so It's not a major problem yet.

Wow, You guys have had some serious snow, We drove out to Las Vegas from LA and could see snow on all the mountains, Nothing like some of you have had though. Some of the photo's are quite amazing. Ok, We've finished booking our flights all the way through to Barcelona now (Brisbane-Singapore-London-Barcelona). I have accom in Barcelona, Cruise booked and paid. Now I just need to organise our 12 days in WDW (CBR or POR???) and flights home from Orlando. Getting there........my husband has no idea how much planning goes into these things! I haven't even looked at ADR's!

So much to do......STILL SO MUCH TIME :rotfl:

That is quite the video! I liked the "Free boats!" comment. :rotfl:

Weather prevented them from leaving. There is a thread about it. So, they are returning to PC tonight rather than last night. Their cruise extended the one day while they stayed on the ship at the dock at CC and the one that should have sailed today will go out tomorrow for a 6 night cruise, skipping St. Maarten.

I want to live vicariously through them: What did Disney do for them? I wish we could have stayed an extra day. Though I do feel sorry for the folks whose 7 day was cut short.

Marylin, "Katta" is good this am, owner came in to visit and was pleased with her, she is purring this am like mad.

Hope your brunch is going well.

MMMMMMM pizza.

BUT thtas why we are rubbish, we had done all the hard work, gordon bennett, we couldnt even just kick it out for a draw. ONLY scotland would manage to get beat with 7 mins to go, at least we expect to get beat, anything else is a bonus for us, but that too the biscuit yesterday! I was watching it on i player in the lab when I was in the middle of doing bloods, when we got the drop kick, I made a half controled muffled scream, someone asked the vet if a dog had fallen from the table,:eek:oops. No its just the rugby, scotland must be winning the vet replied:lmao:

YIP< I should have known better than to get excited:rolleyes:

LOL I honestly had given up hope and almost posted on here saying "congrats" and then all of a sudden Wales got a kick up the butt!

:goofy::goofy::goofy:Hello to all,

We have enjoyed reading your posts and are pleased to be joining you all on the Westbound Atlantic cruise this September.

My DW, DS (11) and DS (8) and myself have been planning this holiday since last July.

We will be travelling from Australia (a loooong flight but well worth it)

A special hello to Little Disney Lovers. We too are from the Northern Gold Coast. It is indeed a small world!

Looking forward to meeting you all :yay:
Welcome! In our cabin we have a DS12- nice to see some other boys his age.

We have one that will be 13! Looks like the tweens will have good company... Now I just need to find 6 year olds for my daughter!

You hear about the times they can't get into CC, but this is the first time I can recall them not being able to make it out. If I had my choice I it would be for not getting out. :)

That would definitely be my choice too :goodvibes:goodvibes

Which site? I just looked at transatlanticpirates.com and it is up... I haven't asked Glenn if he was working on it though... We might be able to blame it on him...

The site itself is up but I'm finding all the sections showing with an error saying:
Database Results Wizard Error
The database connection named 'cruise' is undefined.

This problem can occur if:
* the connection has been removed from the web
* the file 'global.asa' is missing or contains errors
* the root folder does not have Scripting permissions enabled
* the web is not marked as an Application Root

I've tried going through a different internet browser but get the same error

Welcome aboard!! I wish my 10 year old GS was coming as we didn't have as many boys his age on our last cruise. None of my GK's can come because of school issues as mentioned by other parents.:surfweb:

How was your cruise?

Was your cruise nice as well as weather.

Welcome back. Hope it was a good trip.
We heard many good things about Princess, so we had high expectations. Our expectations were met.

Lunch and dinner in the main dining rooms were very, very good. It was the best among the cruise lines we have tried.

Some of the things we liked:

  • Very smooth embarkation.
  • Cabins are ready upon boarding (we boarded at 11:50 and went to our cabin to drop off our bags).
  • A working refrigerator.
  • Warm cookies served in the afternoon (servers roam with carts around the pool deck and atrium).
  • Nice library (12 or so floor-to-ceiling bookcases).
  • Lots of quiet seating areas around the ship.
  • Daily afternoon tea (open to all at no charge).
  • Generous portions. If you ordered lobster tail, they brought you three, and later brought around another plate with more.
  • A self-serve kiosk next to the front desk. Just swipe your room card to get a copy of your stateroom account without standing in line. Brilliant!
  • Automatic enrollment in the Captains Circle loyalty program. On day 5 or 6, we received a welcome packet including Captains Circle cards with our names and member numbers.
  • On debarkation day you can go to breakfast then return to your cabin until your debarkation time.
  • Very smooth debarkation.

Poor, Glen, we all owe him at least 1 drink for all his hard work!

Sounds wonderful Woody. I think I am going to book an Alaska cruise on Princess after reading that. Or any cruise for that matter.:lmao: Where did you cruise?

The hosting company moved us onto a new server platform, and I didn't read the fine print saying the new platform didn't work with Frontpage (which I used to create the site). :sad1: I've asked them to move it back to a Frontpage compatible server, but I'm guessing they're swamped with calls due to the migration, and just haven't got to it yet. Hopefully it will be back up soon.

I guess you get what you pay for, and at $84 per year, I don't get much :)

Boy, that is a pretty cheap drink. Even if one drink cost $10.00 that divided by (for simplicity sake) 100 people. That would be $0.10 per person. I didn't realize labour rates were so low now. :rotfl:
