Whoo Hooo... what a ride.

Mexico just had an earthquake and we felt it all the way up here! That
s about 150 miles south. Reports say 6.5 what a rolling mothing. The shaky one feel like what a quake should, this one felt like you were just dizzy.

Hope and prayers to the people in Mexico and by the boarder.:flower3:

Ann :cool2:

Just heard about this. Hope everyone is safe and OK.

Saw today that Cat 11GTY is currently available for our sailing (along with 10GTY and higher). No real great discount or anything, but I see that the late August Med cruise has now gone on sale.

Going to the cememtary today to take some flowers for my Nan, she would have been 100 years old today if she hadn't passed away 15 months ago :sad2:

My great-grandmother was 99 1/2 when she passed away...we thought for sure she would live to be 100.

Mmmmmm.

We were thinking about snorkling on the cruise, maybe get a taxi or something, I dont care what port, what do you all think? Any suggestions?

We're looking at doing a couple of DCL excursions and then perhaps just a beach trip in St Maarten. Rick won't bother this time to bring his snorkle gear. Need to keep the weight down.

We rented a car on several of our cruises to St Maarten. We drove around the island and went to the beach, drove to the highest point on the island and drove to the airport and watched the planes land. I highly recommend it.

The island is not very big and I do not think you can get lost. It is basically one road ;) Seriously, it is easy and it was a lot of fun.

However, the snorkeling was not that great there.

That sounds a great option. I was wondering what to do, so that or a bus tour would be great.

Working around the house most likely. Getting ready for work this week. Heading to North Carolina for training from Wednesday to Saturday. But, may be heading for additional work related training on Tuesday. Won't know until 8am Tueaday:confused3, so have to pack for the the week.

Thoughts and prayers for those affected by the earthquake.

Jon

You will be in our neck of the woods. Th weather is wonderful. It is 93F 34Cright now (we are on the coast). Supposed to be in the 80F (27C)and 90's (33C)till friday. It is cooler in the evenings though. It is between 40F (13C) and 60F (16C).

Have a wonderful trip

Not sure if you have ever been there before, but the rental cars are within walking distance. In fact they are right at the end of the pier by where you catch the tour buses or the ferry to St Maarten.

Thanks for that info, I drive a hundred miles a day with work in horrendous traffic sometimes, I know it wouldnt be a hassle but I aint driving on a tropical island.

We aren't beach people at all. Manage Castaway Cay for a few hours but get bored and go back to the ship after lunch. Love to go there though.

Thanks, that is helpful. We haven 't been before. We did an Eastern last September, but it was Tortola instead of St Maarten. I like to have a general look around new places. We did the DCL land and sea tour of Tortola and that was really good. Beautiful island and lovely friendly people!!
