Thanks for all the kind words everyone.

Popped in to see how things were over here and if any more people had heard about the OBC.

Sarah I am very disappointed that you haven't heard of Brains SA! It sponsors the rugby.

Anyway better get back for now.

Hope you're bearing up OK at this difficult time Sarah

I am afraid that I am a Welsh person who knows very little about rugby ... I let the side down really :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Just got back from WDW yesterday - put the news on the radio and whatd`yaknow - Globespan have gone bust.
I paid with my M&S card so I hope I`ll get the money back.
There is a very intersting comment on a thread on moneysavingexpert - saying that under section 75 of the credit act (or something) if you have to rebook at greater expense then you are entiltled to this money back from the cc company.
We`ll see!

Sarah - so sorry about your loss

Now I`m reading this applies to your return journey - if you stranded. Sorry for the false hope!

Has it been 2 months already!!?? My the time is flying by. We will be meeting very soon! :grouphug:

Time is flying by! 9 months from today we'll all be on the Magic!!! I can't wait!

Sorry to all those effected by Globespan! I hope you can all get something sorted

We've had a bit of bad news so wont be around much for a few days. My grandad passed away yesterday so just wanted to pop in and check on things.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. My grandfather passed away last month and it is not easy at all. Here's a long distance hug for you.

very important milestone today guys ..... we are now officially in the "thirty-something" weeks to go" zone :yay::yay::yay:

39 weeks until we board the Disney Magic

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

and after the headache of the Globespan crisis thats definitely something for me to celebrate !!!!!!

Well Lorraine and I are back from what should have been a lovely pre-Christmas trip to Venice this weekend to go to a rugby game. Our flight was cancelled while we sat at the airport Friday morning due to the snow here in the UK. I mean only about two inches of snow, a days notice and still they couldn't get snowploughs on a runway overnight. Oh well, nvm. Our team won in our absence so thankful for that. If they continue to win might make it to Paris in May instead.

Melodie, we did not waste any time. Our wedding was the 9th time we saw each other. They say it's not going to last. :rotfl2: Like Cinderella, my prince knew I was the one (and I knew too) the first night. :lovestruc

It is so nice to know it happens for others. I met my DH on a blind date. We were introduced to each other by his Aunt who I had babysat her boys a few times. She and my mother were good friends and his family was visiting while on vacation. Our first date was to the drive in and two other dates and then they went back to Pa from San Diego, Calif. He wrote a letter a few weeks later professing his love. We dated long distance for three years and then married. Forty years later, we are still going strong. I do so believe in love at first sight.:goodvibes

This sounds much better than 2558 hours, 40 minutes, plus/minus a few seconds until the life vest drill

Hoping by the time we sail we won't have to wear those horrid vests to muster anymore. They've stopped this on RCCL. You just have to attend the drill.

Fingers crossed, yes we do go a bit mad when we get a sprinkling of snow, at least they won though!

I dont mind the jackets, I think it is good fun actually and always take piks of each other.

What we might not have to wear them?:scared1: Please say it's not so:confused: Guess I'll just wear it on Formal night :lmao:

We are still waiting for the snow here. Got the semi cold temps for it just nothing falling. :sad2:

We just got back from Dec 6 to 10 and had to wear the vests.

A) What port are you looking forward to most and why?
Castaway Cay. I am mainly doing this cruise for the sea days, but I do love Castaway Cay.

B) What are you doing for xmas?(assuming you celebrate it)
We are hopefully flying to Dubai on Christmas Eve (first time flying standby). I got a really good deal on a 5 star hotel. All going according to plan, we will come back on New Year's Day on the A380. We have to fly into Heathrow, but that will be worth it for the experience.

Anyone plannng to go to Mousemeets 2010 in Manchester? It's May 1st and 2nd in the Crowne Plaza . I am definitely going to go to this, and it would be great for a pre-cruise meet up if anyone is interesed.:goodvibes:goodvibes
If I am in Manchester then, I will definitely go. We are looking at the Med cruises on the Magic at the moment to make up for the fact that I can't do the EB TA. I would have enough leave to do our cruise and an 11 night Med. I am kind of torn between the April 24th and May 15th sailings. If we are doing the first one, then I won't be around for Mousemeets.

#1. Which character best describes you and why? Not, which character is your favorite but best fits your personality.
I suppose Ariel. Like here I am extremely strong-willed and always want what at face value I can't have (and then usually find a way getting anyway)

#2. What has your most memorable thing from WDW, DL, or DCL?
I have tons of memories. One of my favourite memories is seing the Magic for the very first time. However, the most memorable thing is probably going parasailing on Castaway Cay.

Corinna

Looks like Washington Dc will have a white Christmas. We finished digging out of our 24 inches of snow this morning and have never been so grateful to have a snow blower. Our neighbors were grateful as well because we let them all use it. I was glad I did not get called in to work since I work for the power company because if I had I would have ended up staying there as the roads were so bad. Glad it happened this weekend and hope all is clear next Sunday as we are headng to WDW for a week on December 27.

Oh no - sorry to hear your trip got cancelled ......it's pathetic the way this country copes (or doesn't cope) with any sort of snow ... (or any extreme weather for that matter) especially when compared with the rest of the world. Will you get your money back?
