When we did our last cruise we only ate breakfast at Topsiders apart from the one day we had our character brekky! I really enjoy eating outside so I don't really mind the set-up and having to get your own food etc. We also always ate lunch in Topsiders or from the poolside snack places. Next time we will have to try some of the other restaurants for breakfast and lunch. Is it the same food in all places at lunch-time?

Kinda I think just nicer atmospher I think, now hubby disagrees cause he like to shove it all on his plate but hey ho hes on his hols!
Sit down for me every time! I'm such a girl and uncoirdinated! I can't handle carrying a tray with a drink on and so end up having this awkward what do I do moment at buffets. Don't mind Parrot Cay for lunch buffet but can't handle Topsiders unless I'm just having a snack.

Your morning regime seems far too good for me lol. Mine tends to be:
- Sit down breakfast in Lumiere's
- Pool/Hot tub
- Lumiere's for lunch and sometimes if I only like the starters in Lumiere's I have been known to then go to Parrot Cay as well lol (only done all 3 options once and that was for dessert upstairs as they were doing pancakes).
- Pool/Hot tub
lol

The Veggie Humous sandwiches from Goofy's I think it is still called are lovely by the way! And they do salads to order there as well as lunch time.

I think we are going to meet in the hot tub a lot sarah!:woohoo:

We have never cruised before, but are going on a Jan 3rd Wonder cruise (for our honeymoon, as I have previously mentioned - I'm gettin' married - ohmigoodness). Anyhow, wedding jitters aside, we GOT OUR CRUISE DOCUMENTS for our Jan 3rd cruise!!!! It was sooooo exciting to see that little package come! I think we got it early because we booked concierge. I love Disney's concierge service (we used it at WDW at AKL this March and loooooved the pampering).

I still have a wish that: 1) some concierge rooms will open up for this TA cruise and 2) that the price would just be a smidge more than our cat 4s :rotfl: I'm not sure that it's in the budget, but wow, I would like to go concierge for the TA. Apparently, after living the life of a student in university for 7 years, three kids, and moving 6 times in 6 years, I have now decided that I like to be pampered on vacay. :confused3

Anyhow, I hope to be "in the know" about all things Disney cruises after January and be able to put my Need to Obsessively Plan Self (NOPS as I will refer to it from now on) in to full gear!

I still can't keep all the restaurants' names straight!

Looking forward to meeting y'all! If we win the lottery, and a Cat 1 or 2 becomes available, we can have a party in our stateroom! :dance3:

(I think I have just officially outed myself as a big noob)

Have a great day!

P.S. I'm off to the gym (trying to lose 27 lbs for the wedding - 15 to go), have a couple of meetings today, and hope to be lounging around this afternoon with a latte and can check back in. What is everyone else up to today?

LOL if its like the EB TA in 07 well be stuck once we get in as it was so cold me and my sister couldn't get out. We had the bar staff who were wearing rain macs and thick jackets laughing at us from the bar because we were sat with towels on our shoulders feeling warm. I'm happy to risk it if you are lol

Don't get too stressed. It's going to be a lovely wedding and brilliant cruise!

I just would like a little price drop or an upgrade lol! Don't mind being inside but it would be nice to be a 10 not 11!

Hey if a Cat 1 or 2 comes up well be nabbing you for the Room Tour!! lol
Well done on reaching the half way mark almost! Good luck with the other 15 I'm sure youll make it.

In work watching the rain hammer down outside at the moment and pricing up WDW holidays for my friend. It's really making me depressed. May need to look at post-cruise travel plans lol

I agree Sarah, the rain is just terrible, hurricane Bill is to blame, wish I was in Fl moaning about it.

Congrats on the weight loss! I'm trying to lose weight also before my wedding - well actually just in general. I have my first dress fitting on Saturday so we'll see how I've done so far! LOL!!!

Lovely photo!

I hope you have a wonderful time on your family cruise and try not to worry too much about your DH enjoying the cruise - after all like you say - it is DISNEY - how could he not have the best time!

I am looking forward to the dance classes if they have them - should be interesting - my DH has two left feet!

so it sounds as if we won't have to worry about being the only ones at dance lessons that are stepping all over each other. :rotfl:
I bet he will just love cruising. John never ever wanted to cruise, but I persuaded him to go on the Panama Canal cruise last year as my 60th birthday present, and he loved it and is really looking forward to these next ones. He thought he would be bored but never was, and also he never ever wanted to dress up for meals on a vacation. Surprisingly he did hire a tux(and looked wonderful I might add). He met some great people too!!!:thumbsup2

Yes! He did look smashing!

Oops, wrong cruise!!

:confused3 What, you don't want to talk with us?? ;)

Since weve had no q of the weeek for months.

Mum and I were chatting last week about this cruise(as we do!)

We were chatting about buffets v sit down,
I just loved to go for sit down bfast, it was so so nice compared to buffet (imho) the only good thing re buffet was that you could sit outside.
I used to go to the gym, then get a lovely shower then sit and be served.
It was all so much calmer than topsiders.
I even had my lovely head server Leslie most mornings.

I am a vegi, I also (for lunch) ordered vegi lasagna, salad and steak fries from room service and took it up n deck.

I love the sit down breakfasts and lunches, but we also do Topsiders when we are in a rush for excursions or activities. I like sit down breakfast, Rainforest, sit down lunch followed by Rainforest and then Cove Cafe for afternoon snack.

That is my approach for sea days as well. It sometimes felt like I was living at the Rainforest Room.

And me! Mind saying that I've been trying to loose weight since my holiday last October and have put on more than I've lost. Why can't food taste nasty?

Oh sounds like the perfect day

LOL it would be nice. The weathers lovely today mind (well compared lol)

Here, too. I had the last two days off and the weather was absolutely rotten. Today I am going back to work and the weather is glorious.

Corinna

Me too! It did wonders on my first cruise when I got sea sick.

Fortunately I don't get seasick, which is kind of surprising considering that car journeys make me sick. However, when we had a really rough day on the Magic last year with 35 foot waves, I kept falling asleep on the tile loungers.

Did it get too bust in the sap area on sea days?
