Sadly, there aren't too many hours up there to give right now. I called them right away after it happened (after I called Dave and my family) just to tell them because I've known so many people there for so long. I've been there for 10 years so I have a lot of friends there. Thank you for the hugs and pixie dust! I hope it works!

I am so sorry. Just try to stay positive (easier said than done I know). I do believe things happen for a reason and though you can't see it now this is a good opportunity for you. Just try to keep yourself up and start looking around for a new job.

I am trying to stay positive, but it still hasn't totally sunk in yet. I should be at work right now, not sitting here at home...I know time heals all wounds and I know this too shall pass.

I haven't been at the science center for 10 years, I've been at the Disney Store for 10 years. I've been at the Center for 6 years, it was my first job out of college.

I'll be ok...it's just going to be tough. Thank you for the kind words.

Easy and cheap to go one way, from glasgow though, and ireland, they go to barcelona also.

We had a quite rough day on the last day on the Magic. We had 35 foot waves and they had to close the pools for part of the day. I went to the Rainforest Room and as soon as I laid down on a heated tile lounger, I was asleep.

That sounds really scary. I am glad that they did not find any major problems and what they found is treatable.

Las Vegas was loud, the pool was music blasting all the time, everybody either tried to sell you stuff or just want money from us. I just found it a bit stressful but so pleased to have expeiranced it.

LOL can't believe you went to Hollywood just after he died you nutter. Oh Globespan? Where do they fly from? Never flown with them.

Flown a few times always been very good but have had mixed reviews.
It was ridik in hollywood, sat in traffic for 4 hours, should have known when we seen the helicopters!! doh.

Donna - so glad it wasn't something major and that you can get everything under control!!!

Looking back, this was the best that could have happened to me, even though I did not think so at the time. I was too comfortable in what I was doing and would never have spread my wings if it had not been for losing that job. I actually went back to college and then spent 3.5 wonderful years working in a boarding school as a result.
Try to keep positive and keep an open mind. The perfect job might just be around the corner and might take you into a direction that you would never have considered.

Hadley has been in Budapest with her husband, that is why she is "off" the boards. She is having fun!

I am glad that she is exploring Europe and having fun. I hope that she will come and say "hi" once she is back in Germany

I felt pretty much the same. Actually, I think the words I used at the time was soul destroying. Again, I am glad to have experienced it once and got it out of my system, but I am pretty sure we will not return.

Sounds like everyone got chatty the week we were at Disneyland!

We all had a blast! Friday we had a funny surprise... dorky me didn't realize that it was Disneyland's 54th birthday!!! And our 50th year of visiting DL.

The week was fun, going back to our old Huntington Beach for the day and closing down the park every night. Weather was great.. warm for Anaheim but alot cooler then home. I heard that the high was 121. Right now it's 12:20pm and it's a whoppin 111 !

Gotta go.. unpacking the bags.

It's funny because that is exactly how I was - too comfortable to leave even though I knew I should have. I really needed to spread my wings and go, I was just given a little 'push'! LOL!
