We aren't beach people but I know John would love to see this beach with the planes.

A) What port are you looking forward to most and why? - Tortola....1st chance to visit a new port
B) What are you doing for xmas?(assuming you celebrate it) - Just spending it with family.

We visited tortola in September on the Magic. It is an extremely pretty island with very friendly locals.

We are most looking forward to Barcelona since we are getting in early to enjoy the city!! And the 5 days at sea!! I think I'm the only one not looking forward to the monkeys/apes in Gibraltar! I've heard to many horror stories. Did you guys seen the one last year about the actor Jason Biggs?? One of those monkeys almost ripped him nose off!! :scared1:

As for Christmas plans...Christmas Eve we celebrate with Gus's family at their place. Which involves homemade tamales and a poker tournament!! Not my ideal Christmas Eve but it always turns out ok. Christmas Day we open our gifts and either watch Christmasy movies in our PJ's at home or go to the theater. The last few years we went to Disneyland!! It's actually not too crowded on the 25th and it just feels so warm and fuzzy on that day!!

I am going to take the opportunity to correct my dh (gpb_1) as he is WRONG - doesnt happen very often so i am going to make the most of it!

Barbary apes are acutally monkeys and not apes as the name suggests!

Monkeys are usually identified by the presence of a tail, but the barbary ape is a tail-less monkey.

just saying!:goodvibes

Lorraine
LOVE IT!!! That is hilarious!

Hold on, hold on! LOL! When I mentioned skipping dinner, I didn't mean not eat! :rotfl2:
I hate skipping all the dining experiences, but sometimes i wish I could just grab something or get room service or eat a bigger, later lunch. Now I can! LOL!!! :thumbsup2
We always dress up and hit the dining rooms each night, but I hope to manage skipping at least one or two nights! ;) And on this trip I am going to try and do some things that I always seem to not do because of time on our other cruises...
spend more time in Cove Cafe
Read a book
A nap or two on a tiled lounger in the rainforest room
sleep in (at least twice)
see a movie or two

Just want to savor the time we have on the ship!

Whew!! Good, you had us worried. Glad you are not planning to actually skip a meal! :upsidedow:rotfl:

I am not planning to see the apes either ..... :scared1::scared1: But i do want to go to the top of the "rock" so it might be unavoidable.

Would love to spend Xmas day in a Disney park - that would be amazing. Hopefully one day :wizard:

Port we are looking forward to the most is probably Barcelona, as we have never been.

As for Christmas plans, we will be at Disneyworld from 12/24-1/2. My DW has always wanted to try going at Christmas and this is the year.

Yes, its the ONLY thing on the trip I am definatly planning to do

Although I have not watched this you tube yet(will do at work)(well I prob have) Len subjects me to hours and hours on this topic on you tube, the web cam at port canaveral his fav at the monet to bug me with(:love:you len) but, it will be like xmas for him and dad to go to the beach.
Wonder how far it is ??
Maybe if I even knew the mane of the beach I could start a thread for tips on the main board.

Well I just reminded John about the beach and low flying planes and he doesn't want to go visit!!!:confused3 I don't know, so contrary!!!:lmao:

o, ok Sarah, if you really insist.:goodvibes:thumbsup2

A. Gibraltar. I find it hard to believe people live on a big rock at the end of the continent. Should be facinating.

B. Since DH works Christmas Eve and Christmas night (and therefore has to sleep all day Christmas), the kids and I are going to Christmas eve service at our church and then opening gifts during the early AM with DH. The kids and I will probably hit a movie in the early afternoon and then make a wonderful Ham dinner for DH before he heads back to work (and after he has woken up . ..LOL).

I think it is Maho beach.
thankyou.Ive posted a thread, see what we get
Having seen these videos I think standing on that beach would be my worst nightmare .... second only to landing there myself on an aircraft :scared1:

DH on the other hand would quite like it ..... I will be looking at a watersports excursion to distract him :lmao:
Oh come on, be a dare devil!

Its funny, somehow I got to 37 years of age not knowing what that word means! It is so right for so much stuff!

Any way, guess what the beagles done today??
Opened ALL the prezzys from underneath the xmas tree, they are a pair of little devils, you should have seen the place, they had been playing with there toys they unwrapped and left all the stuff that wasnt for them, all the clothes were just left, no damage thankfully!but they opened EVERY single parcel to see what was available to them.
Len was not impressed and blamed Ruby as Orly has never done it before!

Hey wait . . that sounds like my list from our LAST cruise! I think I did all of them . . .I'll save you a cushy seat by the Cove cafe. It's a terrific place to read many books. And sitting in those tiled loungers each night before dinner sure made the late dinner an even bigger treat . . .I was so relaxed :) Would be nice to have a buddy to chat with a little bit, though . . .

I like to chat:thumbsup2

I would love to join in a scrapbook swap / class as I bought a scrapbook on my 2008 cruise but just don't seem to be able to get started .... I could certainly do with a few hints and tips and advice from seasoned scrapbookers !!! :worship:

Yeah Sarah! You make one more . . . scrapbooking is a blast, but seems to take so much time and creative energy. Hope we get a bunch. It makes for a great sea day activity.
