Soarin at WDW is my favorite followed by POC at WDW. We couldn't get near either Toy Story when we were there a couple of weeks ago nor could we get on Soarin and we went to Epcot twice on that trip   both had 90 minute and longer wait even with fast pass Note to self:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 don't go at Thanksgiving again

Yeah we like both rides but they do both get crazy. They are both rides that it's wise to go into the park early, run str8 to the ride, get a fastpass, and then do the rest of the park. When we were there before the Double Dip in Sept. all the Toy Story fastpasses were passed out for the day before noon! AND the ride kept breaking. It broke one of the times we rode it and we sat on it for a little while...and then another time we were on our way back to ride it with our fastpasses and found out it was broken and the guests who were on the ride had been "trapped" in it for over 45 minutes----and they weren't sure how long it would take to fix. It was like 8:30pm at night so we knew we woudln't get our fastpasses to use later that evening (even though it was Extra Magic Hours) because we had late dining reservations at the Polynesian. The crowd actually at the ride who had been in line were literally like rioting----people were screaming and hollering and demanding things (free tickets, free fastpassesand there was an ARMY of CM managers there trying to deal with it. Personally, Jason and I absolutely HATE it when people throw tantrums like that....so even though we really wanted to ride, we did not want to be part of the angry mob so we just decided to go.

Christmas shopping done, presents wrapped (yes, DH, you may have a prod, but no shaking) and I managed to bake three different kind of Christmas cookies. I am going out for a Thai banquet with some of the other team leaders from work tonight.

My favourite ride is Soarin.

Talkiing about lines, we loved the Hulk at universal, we stayed at hard rock hotel and got front of line passes, itwas real ace, I like going there after the disney cruise.

Our hands down favorite is Soarin in both Florida and California. Second is Buzz Light Year at WDW.

Hi everyone! DH and I are on this cruise. It will be our sixth DCL cruise, unless we take another before then (we live near Port Canaveral).

My favorite rides are at DLR...Pirates and Indy. Maybe it's because we have annual passes for WDW , but DLR seems so much more magical to us.

Looking forward to another fun cruise!:thumbsup2

Welcome to the cruise and the thread...make sure to check out the first post which has all kinds of info about our website, various cruise logos, cruise lanyards....and I think even stuff about several mini-meets already planned between now and the trip.

:welcome:
Howdy Allie, great to have more folks along with us. We have a home near Leesburg but are in our RV in Oregon until summer. Maybe when we get back we could have a mini meet with those who are in the area.:goodvibes
It would be fun to meet ahead of time. We spend alot of time at WDW with annual passes too.
I am Kathy and DH is Greg. Kids are grown and gone although we have 2 furry 4 legged kids now. We have done 18 DCL cruises so far. I hope to get one more in November of 09 while waiting for this one.

Hi Corinna , how was your meal?

Hi, QOTW Thats a hard one, Spaceship Earth, Big Thunder,Rock n Roller, and Expedition Everest.DW(hotfudgesndae) likes POTC, Big Thunder at night, TTA( its a quirky ride ) Test Track at night. And she really liked the boat ride at AK which was running when the park opened.

:welcome: on board.

Hi Corinna , how was your meal?

The meal was fantastic. I just found out that they have another restaurant near to one of the offices DH goes to. So I will treat him to a lunch there in the new year.

I managed to bake the last batch of Christmas cookies and I should really get ready for work. Another graveyard shift for me today!

Just wanted to pop on and wish everyone a VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!!!!!

Well in Hadley's absence....it feels like we haven't had a QOTW for a while (or maybe it's just me). Hadley emailed me last night/this morning and they are safely back from Germany...butu I don't know how soon she'll be back to the DIS....so I'll throw a question out for this week:

What is your favorite Disney Parks ride or attraction? (You may choose from ANY Disney park worldwide!)

Mine is Tower of Terror and Jason's is probably Mission Space (the puke-inducing version).

Can I join in...mine is Toy Story ride at DHS along with a lot of others.

Hi everyone. So much activity. So overwhelming. Does anyone want to be my Face Book friend? ;) I have like 3 friends on there. Much easier to keep up!

jodie, I would but I am a horrible facebooker, lol I think I get over there less then once a month, so sad.

Hi everybody! I am finally recovered from the jet lag and general exhaustion caused by seeing 22 apartments, 2 schools, 2 visa attorneys, insurance reps and spending most of a day at Dave's new office all in 6 days (made WDW seem relaxing:lmao: ). Add to that that I have worked every day since I got home Wednesday night and this is the first chance I have had to sorta kinds catch up on the DIS. I am happy to report that we now have a sigend contract to move to Germany. We found a school for the kids and even signed a lease on a town home. We will board the palne for our new home exactly 6 weeks from today! YIKES that is not a lot of time to get a lot of stuff done (and throw birthday parties for both kids, and have Christmans:dance3: )

Erik--it is just mean to expect people to choose just one (or two or five for that matter) but we'll try;)
Me--Festival of the Lion King and Soarin' are both highlights of any trip for me.
Dave--LOVES Fantasmic if you are counting nightime shows. He also loves (not kidding here) the movie at the end of the Norway ride in EPCOT:confused3 He also liked the original Space Ship Earth (he didn't state it quite that nicely:rotfl2: )
Marika--Mission Space (that same puke inspring version Jason loves). Nothing else comes close in her eyes:rolleyes: A distant second, but still loved, is the boat ride in the land though she misses having a live host on the boat.
Rio--the TTA ("especially if you ride it at night when all the pretty lights are on in the Magic Kingdom"). Other tops are Buzz Lightyear, Journey Into Imagination, and It's A Bug's Life. He ADORED Tarzan Rocks before they took it out and replaced it with "That boring Nemo puppet show":rotfl:

For a classic attraction, I like the Carousel of Progress, weird, I know.
I also like the Rockin Roller Coaster.
Our entire family enjoye Carousel of Progress:goodvibes We always ride it if it is open. "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day. . ."

Welcome!!:wizard:

Welcome back Hadley. I'm exhausted just reading about everything you did and still have to do!

I agree, it's almost impossible to pick a very favorite. I'd have to pick a favorite from each park, and that wasn't the game, so I'll pass for now. ;)

Hope everyone is having a terrific Holiday Season!!!
