Sarah - last year we bought both our DSs tuxedos from Matalan - I think it was £35 for the jacket and £12 for the trousers. The shirt / bowtie / cummerbund (?sp) came in a pack and was £12. As you seem to cruise often it would probably be a better investment to buy rather than hire one. If you have a decent sized Asda you can get them in there at similar prices.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD


we have freezing rain coming around noon, followed by a little rain which will turn into 4 inches of snow and lows of 12 tonight, high 30 today. Our 4th storm in less than 10 days will arrive sunday with up to 6 more inches of snow
It isn't even winter yet??

Greg took an overnight bag to work and extra snacks in case he got stuck at work tonight. If the freezing rain does come and i'm sure it will he will hold up in a hotel tonight instead of coming home, thats how bad the roads are here.

Hope your storms doesnt get as bad as ours has been.

Back later if my electricity and internet dont go down on me.

Like I said yesterday, it was in the 60's and now it's snowing/sleeting! It's crazy! This weather is crazy!

LOL sounds like us......Last week we had our freak snowstorm here in the south and today it is almost 80....got the AC on!!! Who knows what it will be like on Christmas...shorts or long underwear!!

Hope you're all well, and enjoying the holiday season. I was in the city for lunch on Monday, and stopped by the Rockefeller Center Tree, or "The Tree" as it's known around here. Thought I'd share some pics. NYC is great this time of year. Oh, and apparently, I missed Tom Cruise outside the Today Show by a couple of hours...oh well.

OK well that puts our works tree to shame lol. I still haven't finished decorating the tree! Got the top half done and got bored so now we have half a tree decorated! Gonna try and do some tonight when Dans at Spanish but might just end up playing on the wii like last night!

Anyway hope everyone has a safe and warm day! Try not to go out too much in all this bad weather!

Thanks for sharing NY photos, I would love to go at christmas, It was one of my most fav places ever,I had wanted to go to NY since I was 12 then when I started my nursing I was on such rubbish wages when I was training it was never going to happen, then i landed a brill jo(present job) I doubled my wages, my very 1st wage bought 2 flights to new york, even after waiting for almost 20 years to go to New York it was NOT a dissapointment.

Looks like DisneyVegas1 has missed some good snow in Las Vegas this week.

We're actually having unusually warm weather right now in Atlanta, supposed to hit almost 70 degrees the next couple of days.

We all have been sick for the last week, I finally went to the doctor this morning and got some good prescriptions. Hopefully, we'll be feeling better soon.

DW, Jessica, is having a phone interview right now (yea!). She got laid off on Election day. The good news is that she's been able to do some independent contracting since then, but she'd really like to have a full-time job again.

Howdy everyone,
well I still have power and the internet so i thought I would say hello

Our freezing rain slowed down enough another weather front pushed most of it off away from us
So we have had pouring rain all night but no freezing rain.
Although we hit our high for the day at 6 a.m. at 36 degrees.
Now we are to start cooling off and have snow again by afternoon and continue to snow all evening and all night

Of course it will clear away late saturday and sunday we have another storm going to hit us At least then it will be officially winter, I think?


I think today would be a good day to sit back and read about the ports we will be visiting on this cruise. Good to think about the future when the present is so miserable

I am off to find some trouble to get into, I am good at that
