Yes the Holiday Cheer has started , we had a party last night to go to , and also tonight our neighbor is having one .

Things will probably slow down alot due to the Holidays , But I am sure things will be right back up there once Christmas Day has come and gone ..

less then 48 hours and counting till we leave for WDW

Oh my parents are just back after their holiday. They spent the last 9 days around the caribbean but for a few days before then were in Orlando and said it was freezing cold! Definately jeans and sweater weather

Yes they do. They also do high tea!

I didn't enjoy High Tea either! I found it was a bit too over the top for me and very disappointing. It didn't help they took my sisters plate off her while she was still eating! It happened so fast none of us knew what to say!

funny you should say that, because palo was the only place i did not think we got good service, did not leave a tip, it had to be bad for us to do that! I found our server stuck up and really annoying.

Lucky you, we were there this time last year, I am just trying to work up the energy for works xmas party, hard rock in edinburgh, wish i could be bothered!
spending time having a meal with folk I could happily throttle 90 % of the time is going to be a joy!

LOL well I skipped out on mine last night as I'm far too ill to enjoy it! Can't taste food so whats the point wasting money on it!

We were at WDW last year as well but we didnt go till New Years Day and it was cold ... Looks like the weather is going to be great for this trip :cool1:

Maybe we had the same one lol! Glad I'm not the only one that felt this way! I have agreed with Dan that we will go to Palo one night if and only if:
a) were sharing a table with others in the main dining room
or
b) my parents/sister&brother-in-law are coming on the cruise with us (they still haven't decided!) so that we can get a night on our own!

Although I'm sure there are some lovely servers in Palo but I've been for dinner there before and though my main dining room servers were a lot better. Palo personally I find a little stuffy! I didn't mind the brunch (which we will probably do as Dan loves the different meats etc) but some of the food was a little bit too rich for me. Still that was probably the best food I had!

Morning everyone,

well when we got up around 6 and took the pups out the hills around us were white with snow.
Then i cooked breakfast which took about 30 minutes. I opened a blind and it was snowing so hard I couldnt even see out:sad2:

We wernt suppose to get snow until late tonight and I wass going to do my Christmas shopping today and we needed to fill up the propane tank for the bitter cold coming next week for our furnace.

But unless this melts off later today that will not happen.
Fortunately the propane is on 1/4 mile away.

Now 3 or 4 inches of snow doesnt mean much to some who have snow every year but we have lived the last 8 years in Florida and only have Disney snow:lmao:
So for us this is something new to deal with.

I love to watch it snow, but after I get my propane:thumbsup2

The pups loved running and playing in it for about 30 minutes today. Now they are snuggled under their blankets fast asleep.

well got to run, I will do my laundry while i wait to see if the snow will melt some today.
Kathy

Have a great day Kathy, keep warm.
Why does the snow make animals and kids go mad?

Hi, when was the last time you had high tea, we had it in oct and really, really did not enjoy it at all. Not what I thought high tea consisted off.
Obviously this is only our opinion, although the folks we took with us did think the same. Chunky rolls with wierd and wonderfull fillings that you can get elsewhere(cakes were the same, you could get them else where) on the ship was very dissapointing for us.

We did it on the WB Panama in May. The scones were wonderful! Also, we had two tables with 13 people, so the social aspect may have colored the experience ;) And that fact that I got a phone call at ten minutes to three saying PJ could squeeze me in (lucky 13) to our tables. I have read lately that folks have not been happy with more recent experiences.

Erik, I love your new siggie pic. You both look very handsome in your ties. It'll be fun to see your Disney ensembles every night.

Thanks! That was from the recent Double Dip on formal night. We will probably bring that ensemble with us again on this next trip to wear on one of our several formal nights on the B2B.

Erik, where or did you buy your bow ties? we tired to find a disney bow tie EVERYWHERE this side and your side of the atlantic this year, and on the net.
I was trying to find a lenny disney tie picture with his kilt to show you.
We went and visited a little preg beagle yest she was adorable so fingers crossed for a sister for Orly.
Better go and get breakie, nearly the weekend.
Lynne xx

I didn't buy those bow ties. I made them....and the matching cummerbunds (sp??), too. It's a funny story. I am always searching for new Disney ties...or for shiny/silky Disney print fabric that can be used to make ties. I search fabric stores and ebay and websites...and when I find fabric I like I make ties out of it. I have a matching pair of tinkerbell ties I made plus we have a Little mermaid tie and a Disney Princesses Tie. The Princesses tie is made out of a pair of little girl's satin pajama pants! Well that dalmation fabric for our bow-ties is a funny story. We already have a tie in that EXACT fabric...that we bought as a tie....but one day I found a teddy (like an adult woman's sexy little nightie) made out of that fabric on ebay for like $3 and it just occured to me that I could probably make matching bowties and cummerbunds out of it and they would go well with our black tuxes nicely. So I bought the teddy and cut it up and made those matching sets....so when you see us onboard with those on you'll know we're actually wearing womens' lingerie as formalwear!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We take our SkipBo cards with us and love to sit at Cove Cafe on sea days, playing SkipBo, drinking coffee and visiting with DIS friends who happen by. :goodvibes

Jason and I will be bringing games, too. On our last cruise we had Uno and a deck of cards...plus we got a couple little card games from our secret mickey. For Xmas we asked my parents for the travel size versions of some fun party games like cranium, taboo and scattegories so that we can play games with people during downtime!

Just checking in quickly.

Had my first week of work since June. I was laid off in April and off payroll in June. It's been a long search. I had 1 interview in July that didn't lead to anything. Then was contatcted last month by a recruiter that found my resume on Monster. Right now this is a 3 month contract but they expect to hire me permanent next year.

You know how difficult it is to get back into the swing of things after a vacation? Well try doing it after a 6 month vacation. I miss my mid-morning naps!! But it is nice to be employed again.

Holiday tradition - I get my son and I new holiday pajamas (usually Disney) every year and we wear them on Christmas Eve. After opening presents on Christmas morning, we head to my mom's, still wearing our pajamas, for biscuits and gravy. YUM.

You're very creative :worship: . Love it. I am very envious of all you folks doing the B2B. Do you guys have enough changes to go around for, what is it, like 24 days?

And I love playing games (DH--not as enthusiastic).

Well, technically yes it's 24 nights on the ship....however, at least 2 of those are formal (one on the 10 night and one on the TA----although I've heard that there may be additional formal nights on either or both) plus there will be a pirate night on each trip, too....so that is down to no more than 20 nights we'll need ties for. I believe at last count we had 36....so we need 4 more over the next 21 months to have our bases covered. However, if it looks like there might be a few more formal nights....I need to work on getting us some additional formalwear accessories, too. I'm going to keep my eye out for fabric that I can use to make additional tie & cummberbund sets and/or vests....or keep an eye out for pre-made Disney formalwear sets.

Well, no doubt you two will be some of the most stylish men onboard. You will definitely have some opportunities for more great portraits, too (and I'd love to see them; you'll have to post them after the cruise).

There probably will be 2 formal nights on the TA - there was last time as well as on both of the PC Repo's this year.
