I am so sorry to hear that you will not be able to make the cruise. I am sure the wedding will be great and hopefully there will be other TA opportunities in all of our futures. All the best.

Well, a free upgrade would be nice- but I won't plan on it so I'm not disappointed.

Really the main reason I'm uneasy about the GTY is if we hit rough seas & I'm not midship. I have rarely gotten sick on cruises, although I've always been midship. The one time I wasn't midship I got sick on the first night due to rough seas- I couldn't even go to dinner.

Since we are so far out, I think I'm gonna save some extra money & hopefully pay at the pier for an upgrade to anything midship.

Well here's some that you'll get midship!!

We are fortunate we have never gotton sea sick and we have been in some rough seas a couple of times.
I feel badly for those who do, but I love it. It is fun to try and walk around the ship and the band played one night for just us. We really enjoyed that.
I actually rolled out of bed one night

Hopefully we will have smooth sailing for those who do have the problem

March 14th 2009 Disneyland DIS meet

Okay we have our hotel booked and our flights booked .. we will get there the morning of Thursday the 12th and be staying till the night of the 15th ...we are booked at DLH ... We will be at Disneyland all day on Saturday except for the Official DIS meet / dinner at Rain Forest Cafe which will be at 5 pm .. I will need a head count to call in to Rain Forest Cafe , so if you already know you will be there for sure Please PM me , if you are still iffy just make sure I know no later then February 1st so I can make our reservation .. After dinner we will also make our way to Pirates of the Caribbean for our Traditional sailing before the sailing ... this will be our third March DIS Meet and they get bigger every year .. And you dont wanna miss the Pirates of the Caribbean ride afterwards as it will be something to remember as it has been the last couple of meets ( I am sure a couple people will chime in that have experienced a sailing with the Captain before in the past )

So , we be keeping a weathered eye out for ya !!!!!!

Thats is all , now you Scurvy dogs and Wonderful wenches can now be getting back to whatever Ye duties may be !!!

FYI - I just checked (via text) with my son (DBK1029 and TheDisneyGirl02's DF) on Amy and how it (her ACL reconstruction) went. He is a man of few words and simply stated "She is in recovery. All is fine".

Hopefully I will be able to get more information a little later.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be cruising with us, but I bet the wedding will be a great time I almost had to change out of the Double Dip last fall because of my brother's wedding, but they were so kind and switched their date so we could still cruise!

I went on the first Panama cruise and worried that 14 nights was too long. Nope- it was too short. If I could afford the BTB both financially and with time off work I'd do both, but alas, I have to "settle" for just one. ---Kathy

Well, Amy came home around noon (EST) today and everything went well. Unfortunately she is still in a lot of pain but I'm sure that will lessen over the next couple of days. She's had the surgery before so she knew what to expect. I'm sure she'll be posting over the next couple of days as she recuperates. She's always so busy so I'm sure she's going to go crazy over the next two weeks having trouble getting around!! (There goes the ecomony - - no shopping from Amy!!!!).

Seriously though, I told her that I had posted an update and that everyone passed along their well wishes. She truly appreciates everyone's thoughts. I know it will brighten her day to read your postings as she recovers!

Thanks everyone, to be honest I am really bummed about it and DH doesnt understand why! lol But, the ressie is going to remain so if by chance this whole wedding thing doesnt cost and arm and leg as it appears it is going to, I might still pull it off. I won our first cruise, perhaps something will come along. I will come and lurk though, I am already addicted to yall!!
