....that our time to get this main party started is here?!!! We've been parting for 23 months, but this is the REAL deal!

We'll it's been a crazy few days with unexpected company and overnighters, so I haven't got a lot accomplished in the cruise department, but I've had a wonderful time with family and friends!

My best friend since I was 5 came Saturday. We didn't go to bed until 3:00 am! That's pretty good for us because typically we will stay up until 6:00 chatting when she comes to visit. I still forced myself to get up at 7:30ish. The night before I had no more than 2 hours of sleep. So I've been running on adrenaline only! I was in bed before 7:30 last night and up at 4:00. So I'm doing pretty good now with my time zone adjustment!

Yesterday I traveled north to celebrate my mom's birthday, which is 9/20. So I'm at grandma's right now. I'll be back home this afternoon, then I need to get the final packing finished.

Seriously......I'm SO overjoyed at the sound of "only two more sleeps!"
Seriously......I'm SO excited the time is here and near!
Seriously......I'm SO thankful for all the big and small things you've all done to make this trip amazing!
Seriously......I'm SO looking forward to seeing some of you in just 57 hours!
Seriously......this will be one holiday to treasure and remember fondly for the rest of our lives! I'm certain of it!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my dd. She is much improved this a.m. and heading off to school. Boy the steroids really help.

So now I have two days to pack and get ready before we leave. The kids are excited. They really loved the trans last time.

Hi Everyone! I have only been skimming (barely) the past few weeks...have been busy freezing and canning our garden harvest...and I think that's finally done! It's a lot of work but worth it come mid-winter!

I wanted to wish everyone safe journeys! And I wanted to thank everyone for their help in answering questions the last couple of years!

We started packing last night (had "gathered" stuff prior but hadn't started). It did not go well!!! We were hoping between the 2 of us to only take one suitcase and one garment bag (plus a carryon each). We packed the suitcase and it weighed 68 lbs ! Not good. We gave up last night. We'll start again tonight--looks like we will have to bring a 3rd bag between the 2 of us which is surprising because I really really thought I cut back on clothes for this trip

I'm soooooo excited but starting to get nervous about the flight, jet lag and getting onboard quick enough to get Palo brunch (we arrive day of cruise and were hoping to do tour of city before boarding ship--now we're second guessing that decision). We're going to wing it when we arrive in Barcelona (nervous about that too!!) and decide what we do based on the time we arrive at the port. If we arrive before 1030 (flight lands 7:55 a.m.) we will grab a taxi and head to La Sagrada Familia (yeah! i wrote it right - last time I called it Sangria Familia ) or take the bus to Columbus statue and walk Las Ramblas. We'll see !!!

Can't believe it's finally here !!!!!!!!

Well, we found out that Cruise Formalwear only had Marc's order for his tux and not mine! Hmpffff! I THOUGHT he wanted to have dinner together......

So, the black jacket and shoes stay home while the white jacket, Mickey cummerbunds, vests, ties, studs, and cufflinks get packed! I did NOT want to pack another pair of shoes!!

LOTS of running around today - making sure we have time to get the dogs to the kennel. At least 3 of them will think they're on vacation; No. 4, not so much.

Now, where did we put those suitcases?????

Afternoon, everyone. Just back from my pre-cruise facial - I had a special CACI one (stands for Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument apparently!!! ) and, despite it not sounding at all relaxing, I loved it!!! I cannot believe the difference I can see already - and it should only continue to improve... I had just a one-off taster session today, but will definitely book up for a course when I'm back...

Anyway, it's something to tick off my list and whilst there I made my nail and eyebrow appointments for Friday... DD Sophie is coming round tomorrow evening to do my pedi - her's are most definitely the BEST!!!

Later today I plan to print off all relevant docs and organise my toiletries. That'll just leave make-up... ALMOST GOOD TO GO!!!!

Off to make a coffee and catch up with the thread...
