I'm lost on the pictures thing.

We will receive ride pictures for any rides where we have purchased LL's correct?

What is the difference between Disney Photo Pass Service and Memory Maker? PP is rides and MM is elsewhere?

Are any pictures included with the MVMCP ticket - it mentions both PP and MM, and I understand MM is a cost?

We will be a party of 3 - parents and 13 yo girl. We will likely be focusing on rides and park adventure and less on meet & greets. I feel like adding on the MM cost would be unnecessary and I don't know that I want to add trying to get to photo spots into our itinerary. Are there usually lines for MM pictures? I'm a little confused on how it works.

If we were to only consider one day for MM - which park would be best? If we purchased MM for one day and we were at MK and MVMCP on the same day would we be covered for the entire day?

Convince me one way or the other! Haha!! :)

Memory maker and photopass are the same thing. You can still see the photos they take but you either have to pay to download them or you can pay per picture if you only want one.

PhotoPass and Memory Maker are closely related. PhotoPass refers to the locations and photographers throughout Disney where guests can have their photos taken. Memory Maker is the product that allows you to download all those photos without paying for each one individually
Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed throughout the parks, making it a great option for capturing family photos. The photo quality is often much better than what you'd get from a phone. Depending on the location, there may be a line—for example, there's usually a wait to get a photo in front of the castle. But over by the bridge near Tomorrowland, there's almost never a line.

Can’t speak to how photos work at parties but the photos in a nutshell…

Memory maker is the ability to download one day worth of photos or all your photos depending on what you purchased. Photopass is kind of a name that stuck from when the park photographers used to give you a card that was scanned when pictures were taken…magic band serves this purpose in general now.

All photos show up on the app. Ride photos, photo pass photographer photos doesn’t matter. If Disney took the pic it is on the app.

Photos from rides booked with LL show up without a watermark, sort of a gift with purchase. Some rides you do still need to tap for your photos to show up in the app which aren’t picked up by your magic band or connected Bluetooth. Buzz (before refurb) and Everest come to mind…just check the gift shop at the end of the ride if in doubt.

All other photos are watermarked. Memory maker is the ability to download all your photos for one price without the water mark. Photos stay on the app for 45 days regardless. If you use memory maker once you “activate” the photos and the water marks are removed you can download as often and as many as you want for 30 days.

If you decide after looking at the pictures to purchase just one or two you can do that as well a la carte.

Thanks to all. This makes more sense to me now.

If it helps in the calculation, when I look at the pictures from my last trip, it's telling me that it costs about 17 dollars for a digital download file for each photo. If you're not doing a ton of photo opportunities, it's probably just cheaper to buy a la carte after the trip.

Thank you! Very helpful! Yes, we love taking pictures, but aren't really photo shoot type people, but very good to know that we could get a few if we ending up liking some. And the $17 range isn't so bad if we really have to have some.

Related question - we have memory maker included with Jollywood tickets. We have the physical card ticket, no magic bands. Do we just scan that Jollywood ticket at the photo desks? Or how do we go about collecting any photos?
