Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

Oh, have I missed something? What mascot incident? Shoe box, great name for that ship!! Our next door neighbour set sail in 'IT' yesterday for 16 nights our of Miami. I was very kind when telling her what it was like.:lmao:

Try thoroughly drying your phone out. Someone who was on this cruise(Amy I think) has theirs in rice at the moment! I hope you resurrect it.

I didn't witness this, but I did hear about it from several Dis friends. If I'm telling the story incorrectly, feel free to correct me! :)

From what I understand, the Dolphin Mascot was on the top deck and popped/removed his dolphin head and took a drink of water from a bottle all in full view of the Magic. Not Disney-like at all.

I hope that you get your iPhone sorted out. I would be lost without mine.

I am lost without my phone! I keep wanted to check something on it and I go to reach for it and I get my mom's cell phone which, although works to make calls, isn't all that exciting.

I tried to capture what you wrote, but I didn't but thanks for the encouraging news! Hopefully it will start working soon! It's at my parent's house and my mom turned it on today and the Apple stayed on and it didn't shut itself right back off, so hopefully that is a good sign. Grief, that phone was wetter when I was in Orlando and I was sweating while talking on it! The small swim in the sink should have been nothing! LOL!

Thanks for explaining. I didn't catch it, but we were on the deck most of the time we weren't on our tour and I still think the Disney ships are MUCH nicer looking.

The following picture was taken at our brunch at Palo

I have about 45 pages to read, but wanted to let everyone know how much I miss them. Hope all is well.

Hanging in there with DH's job, school, and all the things going on in November.

When we got home, the orthodontist told me that Abby had a mass behind her right eye and she had to go for a CAT Scan. Just what I needed to hear after 2 glorious weeks. Anyway, it turned out to be nothing and I have decided that orthodontists should stick to TEETH! - not eyes! Anyway, between everything else going on, I haven't been on the boards but there isn't one day that goes by that I don't think about all the fun we had.

I am so sorry that you had to go through this. I am glad that everything is OK though.

Well, looks like project Dubai is back on track. I had a call from a lovely lady at HR in Dubai today and she wanted to discuss the terms and conditions of the job with me. I was pretty impressed. They would provide a two bedroom apartment, transport between the accommodation and work, health insurance and a few other perks. It would mean working night shifts again, but I used to love working nights.

They are now making arrangements for me to do the written assessment here in Manchester and if I should pass this, I would then be invited to Dubai for further assessments and interviews. Keep you fingers crossed for me.

I had some more good news at work today. Since September 1st, we have operated one of our two daily services in and out of Manchester with an A380. On November 30th, 6 team leaders will get a tour of the aircraft. I am one of the lucky 6. I am so excited. I was lucky enough to fly in an A380 at the beginning of the year, but I was traveling in economy and did not get the chance to see the Business and First class cabins. This time I will get to see the whole aircraft.

pixiedust: and fingers crossed for you to get this new position. Sounds really exciting. Hope you can take some pics of the A380 to post here.

I am sorry it has taken me more than a week to post another day on my trip report. I have been having a real hard time with my Vertigo and have been doing a lot of sleeping. I went back to see an ENT and he has ordered a MRI because I have had bouts of double vision. I hope to get that done this week.

Sorry to hear about the vertigo and double vision. I hope the MRI doesn't reveal anything and it all can be dealt with simply and you are soon better. and prayers.

Cool:thumbsup2 about both things.

Well, Apple got my iPhone working...the bad news was I lost of my apps, photos, phone numbers, everything. Basically it was my phone but it had forgotten everything it knew before it was restored! :( I'm slowly getting my apps back and my numbers came back but it's been a long time since I've backed up my phone so I lost a lot...but it's better to have my phone than not!

DD Jennifer had that happen to her on her iPhone. DH was able to get all of her stuff back on the phone but she now religiously backs up the phone almost every day. She just recently bought an iPhone4 which she really likes.

DH John got the new Samsung Win 7 phone yesterday.

I can get an upgrade in January, so I was hoping to keep the phone for that long at least...I'm trying not to think about everything that I lost...I'm just glad I still have the phone.

I know what you mean. I gave her my upgrade as I got a new Nexxus One on Ebay.

That's was our news, but yesterday was way different!:thumbsup2

The school is opening another campus in another town, the Director will be taking over the hair design schools and part time massage school. Hiring the other female and another part time sub teacher and ........

Wonderful news :hug::hug: I'm sure Howard is looking forward to it. Wishing him all the best with his new position :thumbsup2

I am off work at the moment with a bad headcold and sinus problem which is really wearing me out as I am completely exhausted. Hopefully a couple of weeks rest will sort me out.

I have put together a little slideshow from our wonderful time on the Magic as an attempt to cheer myself up ... this one is all about the wonderful friends we met ....aka you guys ( well the ones who didn't manage to escape being photographed. )

Here is the link ... I called it "Remember the Magic" so I apologise for the lack of originality with the title, but it sort of fits!
