Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

glad you had a good birthday:goodvibes

I know what you mean, it was weird having only three meals as opposed to 3 courses every meal!

Thanks! I am having miso soup tonight with my shrimp and steamed veggies, so I guess that would count as 2 courses! LOL!!!:lmao:

Are you going to see the new baby?

No, not yet. My friend lives about 3 hours away from here so it will take a little planning to get down to see the baby. He came home from the hospital on Thursday or Friday so I want to give them some time to adjust. However, I have seen plenty of pictures and he is a cutie pie!!!!

You gotta be kidding! Why didn't you!!!
I just wondered how we didn't met, but you saw us!!!

But I can understand you!!! I probably don't look like it, but sometimes I am pretty shy!

But I am really sorry we haven't talked!!!

Are you on Facebook? I wanna see, if I saw you!!!! :lovestruc

Yep! http://www.facebook.com/pjdegeer

To the Kiwi group,,,,thank you for the wonderful gifts. They were awesome.

I am sorry I was not able to say a final goodbye to everyone in the Geezers group. I so enjoyed being with you. I enjoyed being with everyone!!!!!

I think I started crying on Friday afternoon thinking about having to leave the Magic. I wanted more time to say special things to everyone I had met.

When Stephanie and I checked in at the Boardwalk, our room was not yet ready so when we went back later, I laid down for a few minutes and my Vertigo came back with a vengeance.

On our last ride,,,Pirates of the Caribbean we were stuck on it for 45 minutes. But we got to "walk the plank" to get off and I got close up pictures of Captain Jack!!!!

Hi everyone!

It was a great meeting some of you. And when I say "some of you," I mean that I didn't have the pleasure of meeting all of you!

Heck, we didn't meet Noel until we had our luggage, getting off the ship.

Mike and I had a good time on this trip, but decided we won't be doing it again. We really missed the nightlife of shorter cruises. We will be doing B2Bs if we want longer cruises from now on. Our friends were calling it the "Rocking Bar Dead." :)

Hope that everyone arrived home safe or at least is still enjoying their continued vacations.

Mike and I were so late getting off the ship, we saw the line of imported workers signing in to work the dry dock. Hope they have a productive 2 weeks!

xx Mike and Jodie

I am thinking that might be more to do with the general older age group on the ship than the length of cruise. I know on our PC cruise there was a whole lot going on down in Rockin Bar D till the early hours. I think some other cruise lines also have much more adult things going on late than DCL too.

It is a shame it had an effect on your overall enjoyment though. I did enjoy our B2B cruises though and would love to do some again.

You are so lucky! I would LOVE to be evacuated from Pirates! We got on it right before the party started, but it had been down earlier in the day, around 5ish, I think. Can't wait to see the pictures of Captain Jack!

We haven't seen you anywhere and we are just across the water! Glad you are enjoying yourselves still.

We need to meet up! I'll pm my phone

That would be great Angie.

I'm sad we didn't get to the Geezers more than we did. Once we went and you two weren't there and once there was a tasting just finished and no Geezers around. More often our dinner didn't finish till 10.30 and we were just too tired by then, thought it sounds like you all weren't!:lmao::lmao: We never got our pins!

I love this photo! We only made it for late drinks on about 3 nights .... otherwise it was a quick stroll on the deck and then bed. Considering we were gaining hours and had all those "relaxing" sea days I really don't know why I was so exhausted all the time :confused3 Mind you having a husband waking you up at 6:30 am every morning when he went to the gym didn't help.

I know what you mean about being way too tired to do anything after dinner - sometimes we never even made it to the late show. We never made it to the geezers meet ups either ... it was dinner, show, stroll on deck and bed most nights. We went to Diversions once and Rocking Bar D once and that was it I think. We are total lightweights!

We kept saying it felt like DCL were taking the hours from us not giving them back!:lmao:

Oh, you are a long way from being even a GIT, let alone a geezer. But they did seem to be the wide awake fun loving gang this trip didn't they?:rotfl2:

Hi everybody...it was great meeting you. Gary and I had a fantastic time on the cruise. We also had a great time at WDW. Too bad we didn't meet up with more of you. We arrived home last night. Dog was soooooooo glad to see us. This was one of the best vacations ever!!

After an awesome unbelievable Westbound Transatlantic cruise on Disney; spending time with my old Dis friends/family and making new friends; the reality hit on Monday when I had to go to work. Now, I'm getting ready to go for my cataract surgery. I have faith, trust but I'm missing one thing.......

DC meet, DC meet :banana::banana: .

Count us in! Though may need to be in Nov/Dec as I'm travelling to Tampa every week for the rest of the month, and have the weekends all booked up.

We're booked on that dream cruise as well! I rebooked dummy dates onboard also. for 2 cruises/2 rooms for each. I think I have learned my lesson. never again will I only book 2 rooms for one cruise onboard.... we have 4 cruises booked next year and only ONE of them has transferred onbaord booking on the reservation. *pout* All the discounts and onboard credits we aren't getting but could have- if I'd planned ahead better. haha

I rebooked onboard and then got a call today to get them done because apparently they hadn't while onboard- and I even called to make sure after getting the card back in the room! And our TA wasn't listed on them either- had to get that put on! Apparently the lady doing this was a bit overwhelmed at the amount of bookings done on this cruise- that's what the lady that called today said. haha (that and some credit card issues where some deposits didn't go thru)
so my point-- check to make sure yours went thru. I had no idea mine hadn't until she called to clear it all up!

Well at least this time we don't have the expectation of having to wait a year and a half or two years or more for our next cruise... just till end of April. And if things go well (financially) where we can make all the cruises we have booked (not counting dummy dates that will be transferred to dates in 2012 or 2013 or something) then we'll be cruising 3 times next year... sorta. (April 27 and May 3rd b2b, aug 16, and Dec 29) That's a whole lot for us! A whole lot.... I hope we can make all those cruises- that would be awesome!

Glad to see you booked on the Dream with us in August! We cruised 3 times in the past 3 months (Dec, Jan and Sept) and are looking forward to a break from cruising for a bit (11 months!) On the rebooking, I exchanged emails with Tracy W as soon as I rebooked onboard to make sure she got them at her new agency, and was able to follow up with Leslie immediately on the one that didn't get to her initially, so I knew right away that we were set.

Hello, everyone

We're back. I've been catching up on part 9 and now I'm here on part 10 (not caught up, but reading).

I had planned to say goodbye the morning we left (that was 9/8 for the Med portion). I was online at 3:45 am (our time) to do so, but the airport shuttle showed up 20 minutes early! So off we went without a goodbye.

Flight from LAX to Atlanta was good. Met up with Michelle (CaliCruiser) and John, Jacob and Megan & Cathy in airport and talked a while. Flight from Atlanta to Barcelona was not the best I've every been on (and I've been on a lot). Seats were much more cramped than the LA to Atlanta flight. Arrived in Barcelona a little early and had a short city tour on way to ship. Seems to me there were a lot of sleepwalkers on that tour.

More later, I've got to read more here.

:cutie:

Gus and I got home safely late last night. So bummed that our vacation extravaganza is over! Especially since I was so sick for over half of it! Anyhow, it was still great meeting all the Diser's that we did! Our only regret is that we didn't get to meet more of you!

Dave & Jane: You guys are so cute and made dinner every night so much fun!! We'll miss you but we will definitely keep in touch!! Thanks for everything!

John & Marilyn: So glad we got to meet you two! Thanks for sharing a taxi with us! It was always nice to see you around the ship and catch up! However Marilyn, we need better luck regarding our health next time!! Hope you're feeling better!!! Glad we can still keep in touch on Facebook! BTW, if John ever needs any help with his iPhone, Gus is just a call/text away!

The San Fran Tonga gang: So sad we didn't get to see you guys around more. Hopefully next time we go up to SF we can have another mini meet somewhere. See you on Facebook!

Chris & Michelle: Had fun with you guys on the tour! Nick and Lily are toooo cute! Please keep in touch! Not sure if you have a Facebook but let me know if you do!

Deanna & Scott: We had fun hiking with you two! And hanging out at Castaway Cay! Hopefully, we can visit you in Chicago when we make it out that way. Thanks for Facebooking us!

Michelle, John, Jake & Megan & Cathy: Glad we got to spend time with you in Madeira and around the ship! Thanks again for what you did for us!! We aren't to far from each other so we should meet up at Disneyland sometime! Do you guys have a Facebook account? If so, let us know!

Norma & Vinny: Thanks for following us to the Baths! ;) It was much more fun to have some company! I'll send you the pic's of you guys this weekend!
Email or call anytime!!

Monporma: So nice to sit next to you guys at dinner! Thanks again for sharing your cake with us! Oh and your pirate costumes were great!!!

And a big thanks to everyone that helped organize and plan this cruise so that we could all have a wonderful time!!!

Sorry if we forgot anyone!

Our email is dmania99@aol.com if you want to reach us there. I also have Facebook but it's set to private so email me the link to yours and I'll add you that way.

We are booked for the April 10th, Mexican Riviera and a dummy date for the end of next year to transfer to something in 2012. We are still kicking around the idea of doing the WBTA again next Sept but not sure I can get the time off again so soon. I really need a do-over. lol

Thanks again to everyone who made this cruise so special! Looking forward to seeing you again someday!!

Chasity & Gus :goodvibes

Chasity, we will certainly keep in touch. It was great meeting you right from on the plane, but we are both so sorry you were so sick for so long. I really do think you need to do it again next year!!!!! We are:thumbsup2

I hope you are fully well very soon, but don't rush things. I am feeling better than I have in months so I am hoping it lasts now.

Thanks again for your company on the taxi and organising it, and all the great chats. We will miss you both.
