Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

Did anybody get any good pictures of Jodi Benson that they are willing to share? I didn't take any - well, one with my cell phone in which she looks like a ball of light.

I still can't believe the cruise is over...

Amy .... I have some photos of Jodi on Facebook ..... part 4 or part 5 of my albums. They are not the best and are a bit blurry because of the "no flash" rule. Feel free to copy them.

Life is busy with the "work" that was dumped on me.

We came home on Sunday morning to find.... a water pipe break in our garage(where my studio is) so far as I can tell 2 pieces of comission work are destroyed:scared1: and lots of personal items:sad2: I now have a big gaping whole in the ceiling, the contractors will be out tomorrow to patch the work. Oh well... life goes on.
And I hate to say this... I went to Weight Watchers today.... and I maintained my weight the entire trip. I Cant believe it:thumbsup2
Our last trip... I gained. So Im right with you ladies. Been there, Ate that!

Annie
PS... thanks again everyone for such a lovely vacation, lots of memories and pics.

So sorry to hear about your home issues .... and losing your work and personal items must be soul destroying. Sending :hug::hug:

Well done on not gaining any weight ... thats amazing considering the temptations on offer. I am happy to give some of my excess baggage if you feel left out in any way :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Big  to you and Howard ... we miss you guys :sad1:

I'm back to work today which is very depressing .... especially as I am still suffering with the jet-lag and not sleeping at night and so tired during the day. Missing everyone on the Magic big time today as I feel the post vacation blues are setting in. :sad1::sad1:

I can almost bet Steamboat Will did... Warren loves Jody

That stinks about the water pipe break. We were lucky because the apartment below us had water damage from the storm we had last week. We are on the second floor, luckily! I hope everything gets straightened out soon with the ceiling!

Good for you maintaining your weight! I know I didn't - I haven't officially weighed in yet for the week, but I weighed myself yesterday and I did gain. Oh well...can't do anything about it now.

Amy .... I have some photos of Jodi on Facebook ..... part 4 or part 5 of my albums. They are not the best and are a bit blurry because of the "no flash" rule. Feel free to copy them.

Thanks Sarah! I'll have to take a look at them. :)

Right now I'm waiting for AAA to arrive and jump start my car since I left my lights on overnight - dummy me! I hope they get here soon!

After an awesome unbelievable Westbound Transatlantic cruise on Disney; spending time with my old Dis friends/family and making new friends; the reality hit on Monday when I had to go to work. Now, I'm getting ready to go for my cataract surgery. I have faith, trust but I'm missing one thing.......
Sending Pixie Dust! You will be amazed at how well you will be able to see!:thumbsup2

I wish you would have stopped and said hi to John. He was frantically tearing the car apart as he thought he couldn't find PAL Mickey. I was not actually shopping, just picking up our WDW tickets from Guest Services. He did eventually find PAL Mickey who was sitting in between the two front seats on the console where I told him I put him before he went to the car. John suffers from "selective hearing".

Thought you might enjoy the bag photo John took of me with the bags!!

If you recall, Albert explained that men only hear every 8th word. That explains ALOT at our house!!

Hello everyone!!!
Finally made it back on the boards after being pretty sick with an ear infection the past few days... :headache:

Anyway, I really, really wanted to thank everyone for making this such a truly fabulous trip. :grouphug:

My table-mates were wonderful!!! Mandy, Mark, Noel, John, Kerrie, Tim and, of course, Paul - we had such fun and never a dull moment! I really hope we get to cruise together again.. And special thanks to Paul for helping me with my luggage on that last day - much appreciated.. :goodvibes

I didn't do much. Just relaxed and napped my way across the Atlantic TBH but I'd do it all again, definitely... ::yes:: Oh and I didn't gain a pound!!! :woohoo: My children say it's because I wasn't doing it properly and are now committed to promoting my weight gain when we're on the DDP in WDW in 10 days!!! Cheeky monkeys... ;)

Hugs and bye for now... xxx

PS: I've still got my sea legs BTW - hope I readjust soon as it's more than a little bizarre..

PPS: Thanks also to my FE group! Unfortunately, I experienced FE malfunction and many of my gifts went missing (along with an anniversary card and gift from my husband which he'd secretly popped into my luggage) so I felt very bad about how little I had to offer. TBH I'm not sure I'll sign up again as I was so horrified that such trinkets could get lost en route.. :(

Great to hear from you Karen, though sorry you have had an ear infection. Good job on the lack of weight gain. Goodness, that os amazing, and annoying to many on here!:lmao::lmao:

How upsetting about the things going missing. Now if you had said your jewellery I could have understood a little more that it could have been taken. However, it must have upset you to find out your hubby's surprise went missing.

I missed seeing you around, but now I understand you hung out on your verandah. It was great out there to be sure, particularly on our side of the ship.

I am sooo impressed with everyone and no weight gain. I am not even getting on the scale, but I did see my doctor at the supermarket and she told me I looked fabulous after a cruise (even though I don't feel fabulous) and that was all I needed to hear. Back to exercising today.

Sorry for everyone with all their flood problems. That is horrible and it always seems when you get home from vacation there is something to tackle! I hate that. Mine was the phones, we had a break in the circuit and we could call out, but not receive so everybody I called after the cruise, doctors, dentist, girlfriend, door repair guy, never heard back and was wondering why! After 72 hours - that got resolved.

We head to AK this weekend for the Scavenger Hunt and staying at the Lodge. Plan to see Angie and Dennis on Sunday - YEAH!!!! :cool1:

Hi Marilyn. How are you feeling now???

I know I was very antisocial - but that verandah was just so enticing!!!

I was very annoyed/upset about the missing items - the only thing I would say is everything that disappeared was easily accessible in the top part of the one case. Apparently Richard just slipped his card and gift in last minute and he's promised me it wasn't anything expensive so that's OKish. Fortunately my bling  was deep inside and wrapped in clothing ... ;) I shall be using those plastic tags from now on!!

The lack of weight gain wasn't intentional, believe me!!! I've just found that having to be 'sensible' due to this coeliac thing seems to keep me on the straight and narrow - plus I never feel deprived so it's all good... :goodvibes

My surprise that I had to tackle seems rather mundane, my 2 DS didn't bother to pick ANY of the tomatoes that were ripening on the vines, so I returned to a wall of tomatoes ready for eating. I spent the first 45 minutes at home picking tomatoes. I gathered 2 large boxes of them. I took them into church on Sunday for people to help themselves. Still had enough to take them into Boy Scouts on Monday. With the few more that ripened in the meantime I had plenty to take along to our bowling league on Tuesday. So everyone I know has plenty of tomatoes now. And there's till more coming!

Regarding the weight gains - Mike & I only gained about 5 pounds each (not bad for a 24 night cruise). My biggest leftover from the cruise is the rolling floor syndrome. It seems to hang on for a bit for me after I cruise. It also makes it challenging for me to bowl!

:cutie:

Same here!!! Still going strong at the moment...

I'm feeling good now thank you. In fact better than I have done foe some time. I now know where I need to spend my time!!!:lmao:

It is hard having to be sensible with diet, but the rewards are worth it for sure. You looked great. I hope you managed to ward off the unpleasant effects of the illness too.

We have booked the same side of the ship for next year, but the deck below. I loved the situation of our room, but didn't like the metal ledge just below the verandah which stopped the view direct to the sea. Also a tad cheaper too of course.

Oooh what a good idea!!! Will have to check that out... :thumbsup2 I'm still really tempted to do it again - with Richard OR on my own. Without a doubt THE most relaxing trip I've ever taken... :goodvibes

That sucks Karen,so sad that stuff goes missing. Sue put my sunglasses in her fishextender for me and they got lost by the time I went to get them, they were not expensive but.., I was secretly pleased cause Ive wanted raybans for 20 years and bought myself a set in St maartin, I have since stapled them to my head:rotfl2:

It was soooo great to meet the few of you I got to. As a late comer there were only a few things I got to participate in, but that was great! I missed the PJ breakfast as I was sick with a sinus infection in my cabin....felt like I was dying, but Nyquil, Sudafed and Room Service helped a lot....I lost three days with that gunk!

It was a fantastic cruise and I think I'll be on the Wonder the end of August to Alaska. Anyone else going? There is a thread started but not many people on it yet....hope to see some of you then.

Thanks again for letting me join in late.....I can't say enough about how great this group is.

Happy Cruising and hope to see you soon!

Noel, will we have a post cruise meet somewhere in the Bay area????!!!!!!

Judy :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Name a date and the place and we will try to be there!!

That is our luggage to the rear and left of yours. We didn't do too badly for a man who packs his entire bathroom and closet! :goodvibes

BTW, I'm sure everyone knows this, but the folks in line behind the ropes are the drydock workers. They were primarily from Italy and Mexico as I understand it. We chatted with the folks working the pier. The workers luggage were sniffed for bombs by that beautiful dog there.
I think that I brought the kitchen sink!!

Another DIS sighting today. We saw Paula, Marian and Robert at Downtown Disney. They are staying tough and have not yet done any parks. I am amazed!! They are looking forward to Disneyland though. :thumbsup2

Paula, Robert, Marian and I had a great dinner at Topsiders on the second formal night. I didn't realize they were still here too. I almost wish I could go up to Disney every day. We "almost" had a nice lunch too:lmao:!!!

We've been home since Saturday evening. As I told our neighbors, it is back to reality for us. But, we will all hold a little Magic in our hearts from this wonderful cruise. And from reading this thread, some of us are holding a little extra Magic on our waistlines from this cruise. Not me, though. I came back 2 pounds lighter. I really need to get a bigger house so I can take a long walk to get my meals and walk up 4 flights of stairs when I need a drink of water!! We were on Deck 5 foreward and used stairs most of the time, except when my knees complained too much.

It was really fun to meet a lot of you, starting in the Atlanta airport with Sandi and company. It was so fun to just be walking around the ship and saying "hi" to everyone with a lanyard or one of our shirts.

Thanks to everyone who made this cruise extra special for all of us. I'd try to name you all, but inevitably I'd forget one or two and that would be unintentional, so I'll just give a global thank you to everyone.

Thanks also to everyone in the strawberry FE group. The boys really enjoyed doing this and I'm not sure I'll be able to do another cruise without it again!! We are reusing our FE in our home right now. I'm going to start putting little notes of gratitude or congratulations into the appropriate pocket to help keep the Magic alive.

Please keep posting pictures on the flicker site. This is another way to keep the Magic alive! I'm looking forward to your pictures at Virgin Gorda, Kimberly and Glenn!

I agree with you...we had an amazing group at our table. I hope we all will be able to keep in touch and meet again sometime in the future.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
