Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

It was lovely meeting you when you popped in to the jewellery making group. What a truly gorgeous little son you have. When I saw him around the ship he was always happy and smiling.

Thank you, Marilyn.
Yes, I popped in. First I was a little shy, but then I dared to :lovestruc

You are right, Simon was very happy on the ship. And he especially loved our Headserver Wira. He took so good care of us. And made Simon laugh aaall the time!

Thanks everybody for such an amazing time.

Seemed to take an eternity to get home, I couldnt wait to get home and was really homesick the last day.

Thanks to everybody that done something to make my cruise special.

Richard I am sorry I never made it to a yoga class, but I really had to opt for something aerobic every morning, I never took an elevator once and I still gained 8 lbs:lmao: wish I had just went on the stupid things now!

Special thanks to my tablemates, thankyou ,thanyou thankyou for your company everynight.
Life seems very boring now.

I may have left the ship but I took some pretty amazing friends with me in my thoughts, I hope we meet again.

It was pretty rough getting through all the securities at the airports, then I found out about the travel alert, anyhow, back to work.

Just checking in. We arrived home today to suprisingly nice weather for the UK. After reluctantly leaving the Magic we whizzed through a day in the Magic Kingdom where we were really happy to come across lots of DIS friends: Angie, Dennis and Penny, Stevie and Mary, Lyn and Bob, Melanie and Gary :thumbsup2. We left Port Orleans French Quarter yesterday morning and after 3 flights, two trains and one car trip we made it home at about 4pm today ... totally drained and exhausted!

I just wanted to say a massive massive thank you to all of our wonderful DISfriends who made our cruise so special.

A special thank you to our amazing dinner companions Lynne, Leonard, Michelle, Michael, Morag and Angus who made every dinner a total pleasure. You guys are totally amazing :hug::hug::hug:

Thanks to all the wonderful people we have met during the past 2 years on this DIS boards thread and on the cruise .... we hope we will stay friends with many of you and will be hoping to cruise / meet up with you again sometime soon. We will certainly never forget you :hug::hug:

Thanks for all the wonderful Fish Extender gifts, the magnets and the scrapbooking items ... your creativity is truly astounding and I will treasure everything. Thanks for all the candy, though now I know I should NOT have joined in with that one as I have found 8lbs during the last 16 days!! Thanks for the supply of peanut butter cups ..... I hold you all personally responsible for my weight gain !!!!

Back to reality :sad1::sad1::sad1: but hopefully we will have trip reports, photos and chats to look forward to over the next few weeks. :thumbsup2

Glad you guys made it home safe and sound. We miss you!

We couldn't bear the thought of leaving vacation mode when we got home, so we went to the Orlando Oktoberfest. Must have tried 30 different beers! :drinking1

Back in Virginia right now (frozen dinner  ) - where's my Disney? (Going to Club 33 on Friday, so I have that to look forward to!) Off to California tomorrow night but back home on Saturday :yay:

We'll try to sort our pictures this weekend and get them posted - well, at least a few of the thousands!!!

Thanks to all who made this such a memorable cruise! :thanks:

They say laughter is good medicine, so maybe we can take cruises off under medical treatment? (I can dream...)

Saw that, and yes, I'm very glad! Our kids would have been beside themselves.

OK, it's an epidemic!! :scared1:

Oh, did anyone get on the Member Cruise? We tried for 2 days, but only got on the waiting list. We can hope...

We started calling at 8:00 while we were still on board. Tried every few minutes until after the 5:30 cut off. Only one time during the entire day did I get anything other than a busy signal - and when I pushed "1" for member services, I got a busy signal!!!

I called today and got on the wait list.

Thank you, Marilyn.

We had Wira as our head server last February. He was excellent with my dietary requirements. We wished we had requested him for this trip, but we never do that. We might another time.

Thank you, Marilyn.

I LOVE your meez! :rotfl::rotfl:

Finally coming out of flaming reentry--most of the laundry done, mail sorted and sweaters located. When we left Virginia is was a steamy 90 degrees and we definitely came back to Fall; enough acorns to seed the Hundred Acre Wood!

We had a great time! We met so many fun people who became new friends. We especially miss the non-stop laughs :lmao: with our awesome, brilliant, *****in' tablemates. Hope everyone stays in touch.

Who's up for a DC area meet?

Andrea (& Greg)

P.S. Found my Mickey watch at the Orlando Disney store...

Any of you see an ongoing thread here?? Oh, yeah, I'm right there w/all of you w/the weight gain. O.M.G!!! Like I needed it :scared1: . And the unexpected visitor apparently didn't reduce my appetite. :lmao: Oh, well, at least it's cooler, so walking should be nice now.

This cruise was the best and we had the best crew ever! Belle1997, donald'sdarling, and AlexandMaddie: Thanks for the fun and friendship!

Well every time I swat an unexpected visitor I will think fondly of you. Then I will then give my rendition of "my dream is to be on the Dream. That is the dream I have.:lmao: Please do not take my dream away :rotfl:

Michael, that is exactly what happened to us.

Made it home around 1 am this morning. safe and sound. Spent a great day Saturday at the MK and ran into several Disers, what a blast.

Had a wonderful time on the cruise, loved meeting those Disers I got to meet and sad to miss some that I wanted to meet. Steffi, I was captivate by Simon ever time I saw him, wish I had been brave enough to come over and talk.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the FE exchanges, I loved to see the FEs hanging as I walked the halls.

Welcome to the newest DVC members!

Anyone else glad that the State Department waited until we were back from this trip to issue the Travel Alert for travel to Europe??

well i am not home yet still in the us in the parks so hopefully they have things sorted and under control

OK so here is the latest version in pdf and hopefully Penny wont mind that I had a play with it too to create this as I know she's busy.

Can people let me know if they want it in another format at all?

Im sure Penny will have her versions done shortly.

Navigator Final Version
Oh so that's why I didn't end up on the navigator? LOL
:rotfl2:
I was wondering...
That's what I deserve for not keeping up with the thread!
Still want to thank you all for all the work on the navigators and Sue also for having a copy printed for me already- it came in very handy in numerous ways throughout the trip. :)

And thanks to elderfam and cruzdirectorKaren for our only fish extender gifts- very sweet and unexpected since we weren't signed up on any FE lists. Very useful items- the lip balm and coasters- thanks so much! And to Sue for the FE gifts for the kids.... I'm not sure if anyone else delivered gifts to their FE's but towards the end of the cruise they started getting some things. :)
(they were sure upset with me for not joining an FE group :rotfl: )

We were already booked on the 8/16/11 double-dip 5nt Dream cruise, but I did book 2 dummy reservations while onboard, one for 2012, and another in case my 8/16 dream cruise ever comes available at a price that makes it worthwhile to rebook and get onboard credit. I actually have 2 other dummy cruises booked previously, but they are with DU and I've decided to switch to a different TA for my future cruises so I had to book them again to get them to the new agency.
We're booked on that dream cruise as well! I rebooked dummy dates onboard also. for 2 cruises/2 rooms for each. I think I have learned my lesson. never again will I only book 2 rooms for one cruise onboard.... we have 4 cruises booked next year and only ONE of them has transferred onbaord booking on the reservation. *pout* All the discounts and onboard credits we aren't getting but could have- if I'd planned ahead better. haha

I rebooked onboard and then got a call today to get them done because apparently they hadn't while onboard- and I even called to make sure after getting the card back in the room! And our TA wasn't listed on them either- had to get that put on! Apparently the lady doing this was a bit overwhelmed at the amount of bookings done on this cruise- that's what the lady that called today said. haha (that and some credit card issues where some deposits didn't go thru)
so my point-- check to make sure yours went thru. I had no idea mine hadn't until she called to clear it all up!

We got home very late Saturday night and none of us are happy about being home. Jeff is more bummed this time than ever before... me thinks he's starting to really love the Disney cruises. hehe
He said they need to hire us to continuallly cruise and let them know where they need to improve- just so we can live on the ship. haha We wish! *daydreams about that for a moment*
;)

It was a wonderful cruise in so very many ways... unfortunately I did not get to meet a lot of you and part of that is just bad luck and part of it is my poor planning ahead of time and lack of participation in the thread. That really coulodn't be helped this time.. sigh
But we kept seeing the same few people over and over! haha
Our kids made great friends on the cruise- all three of them this time- they all miss their new best friends from the cruise. Rita wants molly to move here and Robert said he wished Stephen lived close. haha
It really was great.
I think we liked all the sea days with some port days sprinkled in here and there... port extensive cruises seem to go by faster and are far less relaxing... I have come to realize. LOL

I am really tired of washing clothes and unpacking and everyday life... I want a maid and a cook and the ability to just walk up one deck to get eggplant and portebello mushroom paninis and/or call room service when we get the munchies and walk down to see a movie... or walk up to sit in a hot tub. Why can't we have all that in every day life? OH yeah, cause we're not rich. I forgot

Well at least this time we don't have the expectation of having to wait a year and a half or two years or more for our next cruise... just till end of April. And if things go well (financially) where we can make all the cruises we have booked (not counting dummy dates that will be transferred to dates in 2012 or 2013 or something) then we'll be cruising 3 times next year... sorta. (April 27 and May 3rd b2b, aug 16, and Dec 29) That's a whole lot for us! A whole lot.... I hope we can make all those cruises- that would be awesome!

sigh... home isn't fun. *pout*

oh I almost forgot.. somehow this time the cruise somehow miraculously "fixed" my sleeping issues. I started going to bed earlier and earlier, getting up earlier and earlier.. completely different than how I am at home (insomniac bigtime) and even completely different than previous cruises where I stayed up late into the night sometimes all night long. Towards the end of the cruise I was even going to sleep (or sometimes falling asleep on the couch watching movies with Jeff or once even sitting on the verandah- something that would probably happen WAY more often if we had a lounger out there LOL) before Jeff and getting up before him! Which is completely unheard of.. ever LOL
I don't know if it's temporary or permanent... we'll see. I honestly have no idea why this happened on this cruise... why this time was different and why my sleep pattern changed so drastically. But so far even at home I'm going to bed at a pretty decent hour and getting up early. We got home late on Sat night after midnight and I went straight to bed. And I mean STRAIGHT to bed- Jeff even had to get the kids in bed. LOL And I got up at 5:30am which is crazy early- like sometimes I used to go to bed to take a nap at that hour! Last night I went to bed at 11 shortly after the kids were asleep..... and I was up at 7. I'm feeling kinda tired now.... and kids are in bed... so I think I'll head to bed and see if I can keep this "sleeping like normal people" thing going as long as possible. haha Maybe this cruise cured my sleep problems when nothing else could? we'll see *fingers crossed*

Honeys, I'm home. This was the most amazing cruise ever, made possible by so many of you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I loved meeting each of you and really hope it is just until we meet again.

I'm off to bed. I have to get to work today. The ride home was eventful and very very delayed. I need sleep.

I called today and got on the wait list.

I was on the bus going to budget and someone was trying to get through as well, they were pretty annoyed and said they had been trying all morning too.

Good luck with the wait list ,hope all your girls are fine.

we Took what we could ..!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

WE GAVE NOTHING BACK!!

Anyone else glad that the State Department waited until we were back from this trip to issue the Travel Alert for travel to Europe??

Here also, my Mom would have been a wreck worrying about us!

We are still at WDW so have not weighed yet, but I can tell you that the pants Dennis planned to wear to dinner the last night would not button!! And, I had to lay on my back on the bed to zip mine. :headache: This is not a pretty thing!:rotfl:

It was the setting the clock back night after night. It seemed like we were getting to sleep in, but after a couple of days we too started getting sleepy really early in the evening. Then we realized that just 3 days prior 8 pm was 11pm. Nice to get your sleeping back on a "normal" schedule though. :thumbsup2

We had another great DIS day yesterday. We met up with Warren and Abby (SteamboatWill) at The Studios. Then we got to spend some time with Connie, Chuck, Patrick, Albert and Ann and then Tim and Kathy at EPCOT. The magic just continues! :goodvibes I think our plan today is Downtown Disney.

Just a quick hello to all my lovely cruise buddies from the Hard Rock Hotel here in Orlando......:cool1:

Miss all my lovely new friends.....what a perfect cruise we had!:woohoo:

Looking forward to meeting up with friends tomorrow at DTD :thumbsup2

Sad I didn't get to say goodbye to everyone...........thank you all for the smiles, love and laughter :grouphug:

Hello everyone - what a FANTASTIC cruise! I cried when it was over. You all made it so special. Thanks for the FE gifts - loved them!!!! I did 8 loads of wash, but Sunday I went to the MK and ran into Amy and her husband. I was looking for Steffy, Angie and Dennis so hard, I thought my eyes would bleed. Penny, so sorry I missed your hug. Steffy, I was looking for you on Saturday when getting off the ship. Mandy, thanks for stopping by and chatting. Loved getting to know you better. Some people I didn't get a chance to meet, but let's all go back on another cruise and do it again!!!

Glenn, thanks for organizing football, even though it didn't go as planned. Saturday when I got home, that is all I did, sat on the couch and watched football. I was tired too.

If I knew we were going to be at MK, I would have added my name to the "fun" list. I do miss Geezers too, what great laughs we had.:lmao:

This cruise was amazing and I will never forget it. Please, if anyone is coming to the MK, please send me an e-mail. I would LOVE to meet up. I could go on and on, but I won't. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!! Miss you all tons!!!!
