The last breakfast on the ship was full of hugs, tears and goodbyes. After 14 days together, none of us was in a hurry to get off the ship and it was hard to say goodbye.
Getting off the ship with our many, many bags was smoother than I thought with the help of a very nice lady porter. At Hertz, was in line right behind Sue and her family. Not happy with not receiving my usual Gold Counter service but was prepared as driver said they are not very good with Gold Customers.
We did a few hours in Epcot on Saturday after touring Golden Oaks. Both of us enjoyed doing some tasting at the Food and Wine Festival and having dinner at the Biergarten. Didn't see any fellow DISers but Epcot was very, very crowded!! Had to make a run to Walmart for a large duffel to stuff all our goodies in. While John stayed with the bellman, I checked in at the Hyatt. We had purchased gas on the way back to the hotel. Gas was only $2.65 a gallon and with the drop off now in the airport, it was a breeze. By the time, I returned the car and walked across the airport to our room, John and the bags were in our room.
John and I got home late Sunday afternoon. Samantha picked us up at the airport. Staying at the Hyatt at MCO makes checking into Southwest a breeze. We picked up breakfast sandwiches and Thai wraps for the flight home since our flight check in time was 9:50 AM. SWA is a pretzel and peanut run and though we had a stop, I knew we could not get off the plane.
Our flight on SWA was on time and very smooth. John and I had a direct flight with no plane changes and only one stop in Denver for about 45 minutes which is pretty unusual with SWA. We were able to snag the exit row seats with no one between us so PAL Mickey has his own seat!!
Sure was sad not to be joined at dinner by our table mates Mandy, Mark, Kerry, Tim, Karen and Paul. It seems very lonely at home now without all of them joining us for dinner.
Yesterday, I helped DD Samantha do some things to get ready for her LSAT this Saturday. I am going to drive her to the UC Santa Cruz location to check out the site on Thursday as is recommended. Still not completely unpacked but will finish today.
I have deposited us on board for next years WBTA Sept 10 and the Vancouver repo Sept 20 but will have to see if both fit with John's work schedule. One or the other may become our 2012 cruise but will depend on the 2012 itineraries.
John thinks this cruise was so great that to try to repeat it may be a disappointment. Anyone have any thoughts?
Also, I think we need to start a list for when everyone is cruising next year and post on the first page. What do you guys think?
