Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

Did you rebook???

We were already booked on the 8/16/11 double-dip 5nt Dream cruise, but I did book 2 dummy reservations while onboard, one for 2012, and another in case my 8/16 dream cruise ever comes available at a price that makes it worthwhile to rebook and get onboard credit. I actually have 2 other dummy cruises booked previously, but they are with DU and I've decided to switch to a different TA for my future cruises so I had to book them again to get them to the new agency.

We got back today. It was too hard on Howard to continue the trip of 2 1/2 hours drive home, so we stayed in Las Vegas.

I just want to say that this vacation was more then amazing.
The friendships we made over the past 2 years and finally in person was a pleasure... and that word doesnt come close to the true feeling.

It was truely a Magic-al cruise and endless memories

Thank You All !:grouphug:

then real life creeps in.
a water line broke in my studio and collapsed the ceiling...maybe 2 or 3 days ago....:scared1::headache:
but Im still smiling! I just has 15 lovely days on a Disney Cruise.

Annie:cheer2:

Thank you to all of you who helped to make this a wonderful trip. Thanks to Jason and Erik for the lanyards, Angie for planning the linked dining, Sue for the tastings and Noel for planning the Madeira trip and for all the help with the St. Maarten trip, and to all the countless others for being so gracious and friendly. Thank you to all our tablemates, Melissa and Mike, Tim and Kathy, and Mike and Kathy for long enjoyable dinners. We hope to meet you in future cruises. We are booked on the March 27, 2011 Mexican Riviera.:beach:

It really was a magically blessed trip! All the tropical storms stayed away and the port days were perhaps a little too sunny. :lmao:

We DID have a great table with all our Mikes (Mike, Mike, & Tim), Kathies, Betty, Melisa, & Armando! It was so nice to have our looong comfortable conversations. :cloud9:

Thanks again to Mrs Mork (Angie) for arranging the linked early dining. :cheer2: It was wonderful.

I am sorry I didn't get to meet all of you. Seems like I ran into the same people all the time and never saw some. :confused3

I think that some of you are on the LA to Vancouver repo and/or the first Alaskan. Perhaps we will meet again.

Back to real life... laundry, paying bills, dishes, & cooking my own food. Bummer.

Hey everyone .... just got back last night and man were tired ...Thanks to everyone for the FE gifts and it was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones ...We have a busy week around here so if you need me please PM me ...

we Took what we could ..!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well it is a back to reality. Was not a happy camper getting up a 5:30am this morning for work. AHHHHHHHHHHHh

Poor Glenn felt totally off yesterday he had land sickness. He kept feeling he was on the ship and rocking was natural. We had the best table mates ever. So much so Glenn and I never made it to breakfast on the the last day of the cruise. But we made sure to be there to say goodbye to our table mates this time. It is the first cruise that I actually started to cry. Knowing we will never be all together again.

Our head waiter was awesome. the best we have ever had. He even made had the chef make us a chicken curry dish that we had family style. It was very delicious. The night Mickey bars we loaded on to the ship our servers brought each of us a Mickey bar. It was so fun to see us all eating them at once. Glenn and I never had a Mickey bar and now we know they are devious. After that Glenn would order a Mickey bar for Desert.

Thank you to all that said encouraging words when they found out the my mother died suddenly. It was good to stay busy. Saw my Dad yesterday and he is doing quite well.

Our Madeira trip was eventful. We saw all of Madeira I am sure, Even made it to the very top which was flat with wind turbines and cows. Unfortunately our driver was not the best.As we could not hear anything he said and did not say much so we had no idea what we were looking at. But one comment he made makes Glenn and myself chuckle. After climbing up and down and up and down and up and down we finally stopped. We could smell a strong odor of burring rubber. He said that is normal it was his brakes. Glad the hill climbing was over when we learned that rofl.

It is definitely a trip we will never forget. As I am sure Steffy will not either. She got to sit in the front seat and could see the steep hills before we all did. All we could see of Steffy was her holding on for dear life.

We made some great friends that I know we will keep in touch with. One thing I do not want to hold on to is the 8 pounds I gain. I want to say goodbye to it as soon as possible. :)

Thank you all for making this awesome trip.

Our back-to-reality has set in to: demousing our cutlery and dishcloths drawers - ewwwwww! Also preparing to renew the mortgage, and unpacking for 5 people. I also had to misfortune of having to BOTH cook and clean since we've been back - I want our terrific server Beethoven back!

Kai asked if he could please stay home from school another day as he was having trouble adjusting to being off vacation. :rotfl:

Ah well, we can't always be on vacation.

Oh and on the plus side, I PVR'd the first two episodes of Dexter and I get to finally watch them later!

In the interest of cruise-type food continuance once at home, I am making duck with cranberry and orange stuffing for dinner. Unfortunately my talents don't extend to making chocolate souffle!

Got to "fly" now (those of you who know that story, sorry for that...oh, not really :rotfl2:). Be back later. Hope everyone that stayed is having fun and that everyone else gets home safely. :goodvibes

:lmao::rotfl2: We miss you guys!

I totally agree with all your comments. We miss you guys! We had such a fun table! :)

Don't feel bad about the 8 pounds, I gained 10! :rolleyes1

We got home late last night after a quick post-cruise visit with our daughter in Orlando. The Transatlantic was a wonderful trip with wonderful people. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make it a trip-of-a-lifetime for all of us! And thank you to the best tablemates ever--BoosGram, Belle1997 and AlexandMaddie! We really enjoyed meeting you all! Even though we were the "quiet ones," we loved every minute of our dinners and the stories shared! The extra 7 pounds I came home with are definitely worth it--wouldn't have changed a thing...well, except for the unexpected dinner visitor! :rotfl2:

Yes that unexpected dinner visitor was not welcomed at all but way too funny how BoosGram could only laugh hysterically:lmao::lmao::lmao: can't count the number of times we laugh so much I had indigestion after the meal:lmao::lmao:

Funny how our entire table has checked in today :goodvibes Though not surprising, not one guy.

Not to worry about being the quiet ones we saw you chuckling away.

Have not laughed so much in years. Dinner last night was just back to our boring selves. Maybe some day we will all cruise again together.

It is darn cold here going down to freezing tonight. Hard to believe we were just in the Caribbean.

Big hugs to you all :)

Anyone else glad that the State Department waited until we were back from this trip to issue the Travel Alert for travel to Europe??

Thanks everybody for such an amazing time.

Seemed to take an eternity to get home, I couldnt wait to get home and was really homesick the last day.

Thanks to everybody that done something to make my cruise special.

Richard I am sorry I never made it to a yoga class, but I really had to opt for something aerobic every morning, I never took an elevator once and I still gained 8 lbs:lmao: wish I had just went on the stupid things now!

Special thanks to my tablemates, thankyou ,thanyou thankyou for your company everynight.
Life seems very boring now.

I may have left the ship but I took some pretty amazing friends with me in my thoughts, I hope we meet again.

It was pretty rough getting through all the securities at the airports, then I found out about the travel alert, anyhow, back to work.

Just checking in. We arrived home today to suprisingly nice weather for the UK. After reluctantly leaving the Magic we whizzed through a day in the Magic Kingdom where we were really happy to come across lots of DIS friends: Angie, Dennis and Penny, Stevie and Mary, Lyn and Bob, Melanie and Gary :thumbsup2. We left Port Orleans French Quarter yesterday morning and after 3 flights, two trains and one car trip we made it home at about 4pm today ... totally drained and exhausted!

I just wanted to say a massive massive thank you to all of our wonderful DISfriends who made our cruise so special.

A special thank you to our amazing dinner companions Lynne, Leonard, Michelle, Michael, Morag and Angus who made every dinner a total pleasure. You guys are totally amazing :hug::hug::hug:

Thanks to all the wonderful people we have met during the past 2 years on this DIS boards thread and on the cruise .... we hope we will stay friends with many of you and will be hoping to cruise / meet up with you again sometime soon. We will certainly never forget you :hug::hug:

Thanks for all the wonderful Fish Extender gifts, the magnets and the scrapbooking items ... your creativity is truly astounding and I will treasure everything. Thanks for all the candy, though now I know I should NOT have joined in with that one as I have found 8lbs during the last 16 days!! Thanks for the supply of peanut butter cups ..... I hold you all personally responsible for my weight gain !!!!

Back to reality :sad1::sad1::sad1: but hopefully we will have trip reports, photos and chats to look forward to over the next few weeks. :thumbsup2

Welcome back Lynne and Sarah. It was wonderful meeting you both and I am going to miss you. Lynne thanks for the hospitality before the cruise, we had such a lovely evening with you all and the washer was a bonus!!! So glad we get to meet again in January.:) I hope all our clothes fit then.;)

Oh, I hope we can all make that last sentence not be true!

Thank you to all that said encouraging words when they found out the my mother died suddenly. It was good to stay busy. Saw my Dad yesterday and he is doing quite well.

You have been in my thoughts and I hope you can get through this and just remember all the love you shared with your mom. If you need to talk, we're only an email away....

As long as we didn't scare you too much...:lmao::lmao:

Any of you see an ongoing thread here?? Oh, yeah, I'm right there w/all of you w/the weight gain. O.M.G!!! Like I needed it :scared1: . And the unexpected visitor apparently didn't reduce my appetite. :lmao: Oh, well, at least it's cooler, so walking should be nice now.

This cruise was the best and we had the best crew ever! Belle1997, donald'sdarling, and AlexandMaddie: Thanks for the fun and friendship!

They say laughter is good medicine, so maybe we can take cruises off under medical treatment? (I can dream...)

Anyone else glad that the State Department waited until we were back from this trip to issue the Travel Alert for travel to Europe??

Saw that, and yes, I'm very glad! Our kids would have been beside themselves.

OK, it's an epidemic!! :scared1:

Oh, did anyone get on the Member Cruise? We tried for 2 days, but only got on the waiting list. We can hope...

We are also back!

Had a blast.

It was the best cruise ever!

The family time was so precious.

I am sorry, I couldn't meet/talk to eeeeverybody! Simon kept us busy.
But, I was not a phantom! :lmao:  This one is for Ruth ;)

Flying home was "exciting". Simon slept in the little crib infront of us. DH was already asleep and I suddenly fell asleep too.
*woooosh* and BIG CRY.
Simon felt out of the crib!

He is doing fine, but it was a shock! He wanted to go on with sleeping, but I stood in the light in the gally in shock. So he woke up and never slept again during the flight!!!

But he is doing fine now. But I let him check tomorrow when he gets his immunization shots...

Did all the laundry today!

Now back to normal!

:lovestruc Love to read your reports and see the pics on Facebook!

Os Steffi, how frightening for you when Simon fell out of the crib. I'm so pleased he was OK. Makes for a long flight though when he didn't go back to sleep.

It was lovely meeting you when you popped in to the jewellery making group. What a truly gorgeous little son you have. When I saw him around the ship he was always happy and smiling.
