Wendy, he is a different man than the Captain! He is a little more refined and intellectual, yet still a manly man. You know.....used to go for just the Captain in my younger days, but I have changed my preferences! We can only get it in some of our stores up here. UGH should I carry it on the plane? Wendy you better check down there and see if He likes Florida!

Christal, I have a beer flavor as well............have you had the new (not so much anymore) Bud Select? I love it. It has become our (me and my husband) new favorite flavor! Try it if you haven't, if not, I am sure we will have plenty of that too!

Seriously though I once knew a girl named Ophelia and she was a real B****! She needs to get out of our playground! I need a cruise! OK, I WANT a cruise!

So has anyone started scouting hotel space for Friday night in Ft. Lauderdale? We are booked at the Raddisson in Cape Canaveral for Thursday/Friday night, but with Ophelia out there we might need to change to Ft. Lauderdale. The current track has it coming back toward central/northern Florida on Tuesday.

Jen, I agree - it seems like we could leave from Fort Lauderdale and be okay. Let's hope! By Monday/Tuesday of next week, the hurricane is projected to move farther to the northeast, so maybe we'll get to leave from the Mickey terminal.

Time to think positive! Sue, I think your attempts to be a counselor are good. I hope my complaining (fretting, actually) doesn't make you all think I'll be a grump or be a jerk. I'd just be disappointed with that little cloud that hangs above the zoloft pill on their commercials. But, it will be okay.

imlazer, what's your name? We don't have any hotels reserved because we are flying down same day. And it seems like even though the storm is headed back to Florida, the models show it farther north, so it might not affect a Port Canaveral departure. Here's prayin', anyways!

No I don't have a safe place for my exchange student yet? The liason was supposed to call me last night with her plan but she ignored me again! She is cutting it tooooo close for me. I don't want him just going with anyone. I would ask my sister but it is against the rules but if worse comes to worse let them say something. I have been on their backs for a long time now. I am so angry at them. I was going to call her again today but when I got home today from work I had to take Jorge to his school to catch his bus for his soccer game but when we got there the bus left so we looked at his time sheet and he gave me the wrong time! There we were driving an hour away to get him there because I felt bad for him. If he would have missed his game he would have had to sit out for two games so I had to get him there. Yes, I was gritting my teeth all the way but he is a kid and he made a mistake so I did what I had to do and I wasted half a tank of gas at $3.19 a gallon.

You are so sweet!! He is lucky to have such a caring person to stay with! I'm sure he felt horrible on telling you the wrong time. Here's to you for being such a caring person!!

Soooo...just a "what if" question...IF we go out of Ft. Lauderdale instead of Cape Canaveral...what do we do about transfers? We weren't using the Disney transfers, but a private shuttle company instead...I think Ft. Lauderdale is over 3 hours from Orlando though, so that could be a pricey shuttle.

Oh, we are also flying in the night before and staying at the Radisson...

Just thought I'd see what you all might be considering...

Lisa, (I think) they will transfer you for free from the port. If you get transfers from the airport or hotels you get charged the original transfer rate of $55.00 per person or so but they will take you clear to Fort Lauderdale.

Thank you Jen! Is everyone packed? Ready to go. I'm not because I am waiting too long and I want to kill myself next week right before our vacation running around trying to get everything together. My daughter starts preschool today so for three hours I will be all by myself for the first time in fifteen years! She goes Tues., Wed., and Thursday but I either work and my sister gets her there or I have my two nephews to watch so I still have kids so now on Fridays I have no kids at all. What do you think I should do first? Next year, she will probably be in all day kindergarten so I will have alot of time on my hands. Whenever that occured before in my life I had another baby, but not this time! No way! My house and my brain is filled to capacity. I forget, is anyone staying at Pop the night before? Well, I have to go get my daughter ready for preschool.
