You all are makeing me nervous about this tropical storm...I just missed the news on the radio because I was trying to catch up on the posts! But they were talking about Ophelia(not sure how it is spelled) and the last words I heard were 'the end of next week'...we need more

Now a good thought...IT IS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I told DH that I was going to start packing on Sunday...he said why??? He is so a last minute person. I guess he still does not realize that it takes more than 5 minutes to pack for myself and three boys!

We had DS(3) preschool orientation last night...I cried and he does not even start until Tuesday. I will be a mess on Tuesday! I was happy to find out that they need parent halpers on Wednesday and that is the day that I work from home, so I will be able to help out from time to time

Well tomorrow is a big day for us again...DS(15) had another double header baseball game and then we are having a party for the OSU vs Texas game.

Keep that going towards Ophelia!

Hello all,
If possible, Saturday at 8pm I would like everyone to take a deep breathe until we all turn (purple). At 8:05 (if any of us are still alive) we all release blowing in a northward direction and blew that hurricane or tropical storm or whatever it may be the Hel(l) out of here. If we do that at that percise time and my logic is correct we will all be out of breathe but will have a week to recoop. And as for that hurricane, tropical storm or whatever it may be, should it head and continue northward we can all take credit for that. And then we will be formally known as (not the storm chasers, because the already exist) the storm BLOWERS. YEAH!!!!! STORM,,,,, gimme an B-b,,, Gimme an L-l,,,, Gimme an O-okay enough already. I truly hope the itinerary remains the same, but if it should have to be changed we can't be worse than the poor guy who drove down from Canada to New York to cruise to the Caribbean only to have the itineray changed because of the weather. Oh the ship did a Canadian itinerary and docked a few minutes form his home. On the bright side for him though is that he didnt have to spend money to buy wintery clothes,, just run home and get them. Other guess now had an unexpected expense,,, or a lot of chilly goose bumps. Gotta run!!!

According to the 5:00 AM update, it looks like it is tracking to hit somewhere in Georgia or South Carolina around Thursday-Friday, well north of Cape Canaveral.

Happy Friday to all. I must admit that Ophelia is making me nervous. Not just for us but for my DD and DGD. They are cruising on the Wonder this Sunday. It would be so hard to be bussed all that way with a 3 year old. I really want this cruise to be perfect for them as I know that they won't be able to do it again for a long time. I will be babysitting my one year old DGD while they are gone. Will definitely need a vacation when they get back!

I really hate the thought of being bussed that far too. Ophelia needs to leave!

Missy, I too once knew an Ophelia who was a b****. I had completely forgotten about her until your post. This was a suppressed memory from 35 years ago! No one knows what I look like either so I should be let in on the secret rum.

Good news about Ophelia....is she not supposed to track back around....makes me think of another movie quote (esp after living through Jeanne)............."You've never seen it miss this house, and miss that house and then come after you! " Of course I don't really think that just excited it may miss us. I wish it would miss everyone altogether. Anyone here from where it may strike....talk about stress!

Yup, and ironically ... Ophelia's short lived life (hopefully) was twisted and ultimately shortened by her father and Hamlit's relentless mental and maybe even physical abuse (maybe a nice strong north easterly wind). She eventually goes insane and commits suicide (tragic for Shakespeare's Ophelia, but not for ours), all the while she remains thoughtful, innocent, and affectionate (no damage will be made, and the DCL will not be rerouted).

We are currently monitoring Tropical Storm Ophelia very closely.

The latest predictions from the The National Weather Service indicate the storm is moving away from the Florida coastline. At this time, we do not anticipate any changes in the upcoming voyages of the Disney Magic or the Disney Wonder.

The Disney Magic is expected to return to and set sail from Port Canaveral on September 10, 2005, and the Disney Wonder is scheduled to arrive into and depart from Port Canaveral on September 11, 2005.

I just got about 700 (maybe not that much, but too many to count) books from the library...looking for the perfect cruise book. I looked for the book you said Wendy...is it a children's book? The stern librarian actually got more permanent lines on her face checking me out. Chill out woman, it is a huge library and the check out limit is 100. Don't worry about my 30.

Not much time to post, but we got our documents today. In the package was the newest version of the Passporter DCL guide - free of charge as a gift from our TA. He's great.

No dancing men or bananas because I just found out I have to spend $850 on my car today/tomorrow. New roters (sp?), new pads, a broken spring in the back, etc. I'm so upset! The good news is that despite these costs, the mechanic said the car is otherwise in excellent condition, so hopefully I will get a few more years out of it.

And let me just say how thankful I am for my family that they support me in times like these. They help me out so much.

Okay, off to pick up the $$$ car. I'll be back later in a happier mood.

Oh, no, what book did I say? At any one time I have abt 3 going and it takes me awhile to get through them. The last book I got through and LOVED was "Reading Lolita in Tehran" -- not exactly beachy, but very good and very readable.
