 Thanks Jen...THe reason is, we opened a brand new business in February, and have borrowed from dear FIL..He, of course, would not say a word, but if we are not where we want to be, and have not paid him back, we would not even think of going....Here's hoping.. :genie:

Glad to be back here...THis is going to be a record day...DD's Briana's 6th Birthday Tomorrow, and the schools are striking.. Brought the cupcakes today, and she had her party on Saturday, these Birthdays last for days and days.. Lucky kiddos....

Hi everyone,
It has been beautiful weather here. I have been trying to get ready for a yard sale and our trip to Destin in 18 days (yeah!!!!!!!) In between baseball practice, karate, school, church and everything else that we have going on, I am really ready for this vacation.
Hope all are well.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the sunshine had to come to an end.. :guilty: At least for one day......

DD's Birthday is over..Thankfully. I hate to wish them older, but it is a lot of work.....

I hope you are all having a good day. :grouphug:

Hope the yard sale goes well..

Take care..

Trisha, I can see you logged on.....aren't you supposed to be having a sale today??? Get out there (get it :) ) They will rob you blind!
Beautiful here today. I am having a group over for my DH birthday tomorrow, and going up to Loveland in the am so having to get it all done today. Yuck!
Mommasita, b-days are a lot of work and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! I know what you mean by glad it's over!

Hello all !!!!! :wave2:
I have had some issues with my modem. It decided to stop working for a while. :badpc: But now all is well. The folks at Gateway finally got it squared away, I hope!
I was having DIS withdrawl. The comupter at work blocks any access to message boards through their filter.
The weather here is a stinker today, about 40 degrees, wind blowing like crazy and a chance for some snow flurries. I just keep reminding myself about the lovely Virgin Island weather that we will be enjoying in the not to distant future.
Hope everyone is doing well. If my computer holds out :badpc: , I'll be dropping in more often.

:cheer2: We just booked for the Sept 17th cruise. It will be me, my hubby (coming home from overseas for this) and two kiddos (5&3). Its our first time cruising. It would be nice to know some others going too. :earboy2: :worship: Willing to learn "the ropes" of disney sailing from anyone who could help.

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing well.

Jen- My yard is not till this Saturday, I just have alot of junk to get out and get organized. Its a good thing I didn't have it last Saturday because it was really nasty and cold. Did you get my e-mail I sent last week? I haven't heard from you lately. I guess you are probably either getting ready to go or are already in Vegas right now. I hope you are having good weather!

Baward-I know what you mean about the weather (we live in S. Illinois), it has been yucky here since Friday when the cold front came through. It went from 74 degrees to 50 in about 30 minutes Friday afternoon. Yesterday the sun was beautiful but it was only around 55 degrees. It is not suppose to improve much the next few days. By the way, do you live near Santa Clause, In. or French Lick? We go to Holiday World every summer and have been skiing at Paoli Peaks a few times. Our family loves Holiday World, what a great place for families.

Bethann- Welcome aboard! My boys are close to the same age. On the cruise they will be 7 and 4. Are you going on this trip during your husband's furlow from Iraq? If so, what a great trip for him. My neighbor's husband is currently serving in Iraq and they are meeting in Disney World in november for his furlow. She says alot of families do this to allieviate having to say goodbye at home again when their furlow is over. I am just assuming since you said your husband is coming from over seas. Anyway, this is my first time cruising with Disney, I have cruised 5 times on other lines, but I will try to help with questions as much as I can. My family is cruising with Jen's family and they have been once before so she may be more help than me. It's great to have you with us.

Hope everyone else is doing well and I hope we get better weather soon.

Welcome bethann and welcome back baward! :cool1: We are soooo glad you are joining us. What genders are your two kiddos? Good for you getting in on a roll call (this) on your first cruise. It is a great way to cruise. I met Trisha on one of these boards a couple years ago, we got together on the cruise (sounds much more romantic than it was ;) ) and had a great time...then they came out and visited us last year and we are cruising again this year...so it is good. If nothing else, you have friendly faces all around the ship and lots of conversation before hand to keep the excitement building    We would be happy to answer any questions you have. This is our 5th cruise and second on Disney.

Trisha, Don't get excited on the weather....Sat was gorgoues here but yesterday, today....and all week are cold and WET (it never rains..... :rotfl2: ). I spent all day putting a dog door through my wall for my dog (who is 14 and will probably die now that I got it in). What a pain....I swear, no exageration, within 10 inches there were 3 studs. I can't even explain how NOT FUN it was to put in.

Vegas in 5 days!!! T...check your in box.
Take care all :wave2:

Hey Trisha,
Our kids are the same age...I have a boy who is 7 and a girl age 4!

Jennat,
I replied on the Colorado post, but wanted to let you know that my husband also is from Loveland! I wonder if our husband's know each other?

Lisa.

:Pinkbounc My kiddos are 5-boy and 3 girl. My son's birthday is on the 25th, so just after we land. My TA said she would tell them that we wanted to celebrate it on the cruise. He'll be sooo happy. :earseek:

Hi Everyone from sunny Montreal (at least for 1 day  ) We had a week of sunny skies, and now a week of rain.. :umbrella: :umbrella:

Oh well..April Showers eh..

Wanted to ask opinions here. We have a cat.11 booked for this cruise, and everyday I check expedia, and DCL directly, and I find it very very strange that all that is left is cat.5,or 4..September is usually OFF season..isn'ti t? THen I thought maybe it will be busier due to October drydock??

My thoughts were... Maybe UPGRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you guys think???????/ I know the chances are slim to none..Just dreaming.. :cloud9:

Vegas in 5 Days....Break a leg...Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy.. :sunny:
Your dog may surprise you..My Mom's is 17 going on 18...So...ya never know..

Welcome anyone new...THis is going to be a FAntastic CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, my family and I will be on the 9-17 cruise. I noticed quite a few of you are from the cruises that were affected by the hurricanes in Sept. 2004. We were on the 9-18-04 Antigua cruise that missed Castaway Cay b/c of Hurricane Jeanne. And we too, have booked one for the same time this year. Kind of a last minute decision. Can't wait.

Hi, We were on that same cruise.. :wave2:

That was excitement that Friday night, wasn't it? Glad to see you aboard..

Mommasita,
Yeah that trip was a blast. I've never been seasick before. Never actually got "sick" but I could hardly pull myself out of the bed. Thursday or Friday night our server was actually bringing me plates of green apple slices because that was about the only thing I could eat. Only Disney would do a plate presentation with apple slices. Maybe we'll run into another hurricane and get another discount for one the next year. :earboy2:

Welcome to all the new people! How fun! The more the merrier!

I am laughing about my dog. He now has somethin' wrong with his backside (nuff said :) ) and has to wear a cone around his neck so he can't use my newly installed doggie door! Wel, if these are my biggest worries...right!

Mommasita, call Disney and find out what catagories there are left (as opposed to expedia...they may be trying to off load a group of rooms they purchased) and if that is all that is left, I would say you may get an upgrade so they will have more cheap rooms to sell. Good luck!
Lisa, My husbands name is Mike Crouch, graduated Loveland High School in 1984 (OMG!) He grew up right by statue park off of Taft and whatever the road is that runs on the north side of the lake. Small world. Don't even tell me your husband is younger....actually, it doesn't matter because I am MUCH younger than my husband (by a couple of decades in fact), and you can't prove any different!!!!!!! :earboy2:

Jennat:

It is definitely a small world! My husband is much older than your hubby. Keith Rosenhagen (my husband) graduated from Loveland High in 1979!!! I know he's a fossil, but he's well preserved:)

I graduated in 1985 but that was in Arizona. However, we have a friend named Mike Krause (funny huh) who graduated from Loveland High in 1985.

I just booked our flights for the cruise, we just have to figure out where to stay the night before now. Hopefully September will be here before we know it!

Trisha,
I'm about 25 miles from French Lick. We also go to Holiday World every year, would not miss it for anything. This year we will be camping out at Lake Rudolph, over Labor Day weekend. :cloud9:

Rotary & Mommasita,
I can only hope that the seas will be calmer this time around. It was the first time I have been seasick. Spent all day Thursday, (with the exception of 15 minutes so they could clean the room), in bed. Otherwise a fantastic trip, and hey, 50% off on this go round.
