Please don't think you are the only male who reads this thread! My is addicted to these boards, but would never post!!! I think it's a guy thing! First of all he never would have made it past the accout set up before he quit! Very funny.........anyway I only married him so he could stand there and look good .

Getting ready for the "white death" in Ohio . Hopefully we'll have a snow day Tuesday........maybe Wednesday, if we're lucky .

Good job Steve. I didn't know an architect could do all that fancy computer stuff. I am impressed. I was laughing at your post Maybe this will inspire some of our hubbies to pop in and say hi. We could even do all the leg work for them. The next time I see my hubby, probably around late April, I will have him say hello.
I am getting excited for summer. Starting to plan some trips. I think we are going to Vegas on April 30th for a few days. To celebrate tax season ending I was also looking into the river rafting trips or overnight rafting trips (no you don't raft at night ). I think the kids would get a kick out of that and I know I would. Also, starting to plan camping. That's one thing good about living in Colorado...so many beautiful places to pee outdoors. .
Well, I am trying to enjoy this week because starting next week, my kids track off for three weeks. And to make matters worse, I have my friends three kids and two (large) dogs for the first week. I think the worst part is the running of five kids to swimming, gymnastics, cheer, chess club, basketball practice and game, indoor soccer practice and game , daisys, boy scouts, orthodontist appts..did I forget anything? And that doesn't include my schedule...and all of them are OFF SCHOOL!!!!
Oh well, this too shall pass. Just pray for good weather!!! and put on your rose colored glasses !
Missy, are you supposed to get alot of snow? Tell your husband on my last cruise roll call there were a ton of men posting. Atleast half of them were men.

Yes jennat......the rain has officially turned to snow in the last 30 minutes. We were between the snow in Chicago and New York and now we will see what comes our way!!

OK........I officially had 8 kids and me last weekend! Hmmm, my husband always has to work those crazy weekends! Ages from 6 months to 12 years.....wow

Missy, I am glad you are still sane and I agree, they do have to mysteriously work during those times. We should trick them and tell them that the parents came home early, wait til the DHs pull into the driveway and go out the front door with a big smile and a wave . Off to the spa!!
Good luck with the snow. We have had nada for a long while. 2 inches here 5 inches there but nothing substantial. I either want none or a ton...no where in between. In March of 2003 we had 4 feet in our front yard. This is suburia Denver not the mountains so it shut everything down. You had zero clearance so you couldn't get out of your driveway no matter what you drove. It was a blast. We had sledding hills in our front yard and all the neighbors came out. Just a trip down memory lane.

Isn't my DH great?! I think he got tired of me talking about everything I read on the boards so he decided to see for himself and join in.
Jen- I agree with you about the snow. We have had flurries here for 2 days and I would rather have alot or none. At least the flurries don't cause any problems. You should be able to claim those kids on your taxes since you have them so much. I swear, every other e-mail I get from you, you are watching those kids. You should suggest it to Karen. hehehe! I don't know how you do it, especially now while Mike is working so much. I can't wait to hear about the trips you are planning. Hopefully, it will make the time til our cruise go faster.

Wendy- Have you heard from anyone with Lord Sheffield's yet?

By the way, does anyone know how to send a shortcut to our thread? I found a thread from a guy who is on our cruise but I don't know how to send him a shortcut to our thread. Anyway, I hope he finds us and joins in.

Hello to all,
We (my wife, son and my friend his wife and 2 children will be joining us) will be sailing Sept. 17, 2005 on the Magic as well. Will be my 6th cruise, wifes 4th and my sons 3rd, my firends will be experiencing their first. It will be all of our first cruise on Disney. There are 3 things I want to do. Number 1 is to meet lots of great friendly people like yourselvies. 2nd I want to show my friends a very good time so they can join me again next year when I cruise again, and hopefully they will pay my way,,, ok so I went overboard on that hope. And 3rd is a birthday party on the deck for my son. He will be 5 Sept. 18 and I believe we will be at sea so I would like everyone with our without children to celebrate his special day with us. So I am asking for 20 minutes of your time from everyone who reads this post. 20 minutes of your vacation time to sing Happy Birthday to Lovell. I have to choose a deck and a time. Anyone familiar with the ship can send me some helpful advice, it woud be muchly appreciated. Okay, looks like I got my ticker to work. It has the right dates and everything. What a beautiful day it is here today, 52 degrees and sunny. Supposed to be even warmer tomorrow. If anybody needs help with their ticker just ask me and I can refer you to someone who can help. Trisha and I are going to see Ron White(comedian) in concert tonight. For those of you who do not know, he is one of the blue collar comedy guys, the one that always has a drink in his hand and they call him "tater salad", should be a blast.

Deege, Welcome. We are glad to talk with you. I would be happy to come and sing happy birthday to your son. It all just depends on the time and what we are doing. Maybe you should plan to but it up with our get together (I'm sure we will get together to meet each other and say hi)....that way you know people will be there. Anyway, let me know what time you decide on and I will do my darndest to help you out. Maybe you could set something up with the kds club to sing to him...that way there will be a lot of kids their to...just an idea. Tell us more about your group.

Deege, I suppose it depends on whether you want to sing to him outside or inside. Outside Deck 4 is nice, but maybe a bit narrow. Deck 9 is where the 3 pools are and is very nice, though often crowded -- I'm sure everyone up there would join in on a Happy B-day song! Deck 10 is so windy and I think the ship goes pretty darn fast those first 2 days to get down to St. Martin. Inside, there are several nice areas on Decks 3 & 4. Also, let your waiter know in advance and they'll do something special.

Deege, I second Wendy's idea to set up something with your servers. We were celebrating 2 birthdays on our cruise (about 2 weeks early) and had that noted in our reservations. Our servers asked us about it the first night and wanted to know which night(s) we wanted to celebrate. The cake and fuss are free (not like the desserts at Applebee's!). Plus they are pretty!

Another gorgoues day here in Colo feels like 70. I have got to get this gaggle of kids outside (with a lock on the door). Two of them were up at 5 am , my kids normally get up around 8 am.....makes for a looonnnggg morning! This to shall pass....this to shall pass....this to shall pass....Their mom called me last night. She is hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up . Why you would want to do that (Personally, I would take the helicopter ) as they left they were wondering whether or not to buy campons as it was supposed to be 20 degrees with ice YEAH REAL FUN!....I kept envisioning her shoveling coal in a fire burning hell, thinking "At least they're not here" Let's just say, her children are a challenge for her, especially the last one. Eiye, Yiye, Yiye! Disclaimer: Don't be offended by the above. It is all tongue and cheek )
Has anyone book any excursions, yet? Would love to hear about them. What about ordering something from Shirley at the Perfect Gift? I would like to do this for the kids....anyone kicking this around and want to share any great ideas?

I am glad to see that Jen has her TICKER working again . Trisha and I saw Ron White and it was a blast. He did some old stuff and some new stuff, all in all it was fun. What is with all the birthdays thought I would be the only one. Hey Jen where are you and Mike staying at when you go to Vegas. Don't forget the buildings look like they are close, but don't let that fool you (just ask Trish).

I was checking on the shore excursions I think someone inquired. My other DB Robert and I enjoyed snorkeling when we went to Hawaii in Oct 03. It was so much fun...it takes a little getting used to breathing through our mouths with the mouth piece. I don't know what the other fam members want to do. I was reading up on the islands...my favorite phrase I read on the Disney Cruise line site is regarding the Ports of Call...."nudity maybe observed." Now I know why you like to go cruisin' bro.
Come St. Patrick's Day (my 1/2 b-day)...it'll be 6 months to cruise time!!!!
