Jen, regarding how Tracy and I met. >Let me give you my version.

It actually feels like I have know her a life time. I actually met her DH first and it was at first signt. I sighted that he had a DD that looked my DD's age. We were up by the pool and I was laying out on a chair with my kids. DH was somewhere . The kids were driving me crazy saying they were bored and did not want to swim alone. There were so many children my dd's age in the pool, but she is somewhat shy and would not intro herself to anyone. After about 30 minutes of trying to coax her into talking to others I noticed this handsome gentleman and his two children about 2 chairs down from me. So I did what I do best... said and started talking. Little did I know he doesn't stop!! Just joking Tracy.

We intro'd the girls to one another and they were like to peas in a pod. That began our love story. I really don't remember when I met Tracy that day. She probably walked up and wondered who the gorgeous blonde was talking with her husband. We never did figure that out!!

After that we kind of just hung out with them. The guys hit it off like brothers and Tracy and I just put up with one another. Harder for her. When we got kicked off the ship we ended up meeting up at the hotel and had breakfast the next morning. We even rode the same bus back to the airport. We never stopped talking and now we are one big family. We visted one another several times after the cruise until we moved to Florida. We will see them in 16 days, then for Thanksgiving and then for New Years and then again in May. We have it all worked out.

That's the story as I know it. Tracy may have a different version.

I did get my docs from the Condo office this morning. I knew it was them. It makes it all real now. I have all my outfits ready to go and I am ready to start packing.

Gotta run now and get Skylar from the bus. Check back later.

Jen - Happy Anniversary

Tracy - I have three necklaces left and you are welcome to them. I have lots of eye patches as well...so no problem getting four of those!

I have a good friend from Pascagoula and it looks like it was hit pretty hard. His family evacuated, so no first hand report on the damage, but I did see some pictures on FoxNews.com. Hopefully Gina evacuated as well. i think it may be a while before she will be able to get online. Our thoughts and prayers are with those in the area.

As far as the story of how we met well that's pretty much how I remember it too! Made me laugh! Can't wait to go back to where it all started

Ok, Jen, I have a confession to make. Steve is the one who reminded me that yesterday was your anniversary. So give the props to him. I have not heard much about Pascaqoula but I did hear this morning they had 80 confirmed deaths in Biloxi. I guess it got hit pretty hard. I hope Gina evac'ed and is alright. I guess I need to fill out on the stuff on our docs since I have them now.

Hope everyone else is having a good day. It has been windy and rainy here all day. We needed the rain though.

Brad...thanks for the site.....I think it will really help. They have a locate people page there. I don't hold out any hope for finding out anytime soon but it won't hurt. I know she didn't evacuate but I don't know where she lives (hill etc) I do know she lives on a canal (because she would complain about alligators in her yard...which living in Denver, I soooo can not even fathom) but that's not good.

Anyway...on with life. Lisa, Sorry to be a possible downer but our Walmart it was only for the men (the mickey ties) not for the boys. Bummer!

I finally finished the mural today....Thank goodness! It is on all five (ceiling) walls. Here is one of them

I thought it turned out cute. There is a scary t-rex looking through a window when you walk in. You can't see it from the room or the bed, only the hall.

Karen(d), Enjoyed the story a lot and can't wait to meet Tracy's husband Actually he looks exactly like my best friends husband. Like a twin. Everyone in my family, separately has walked by and said "What's Paul doing in that picture." I even sent it to his wife and she was blown away. It is funny how that happens. I don't think I have a pic but he is having a big b-day bash when we get back so maybe I can get one then.

Now to business....Here are the people who have not sent me e-mail addresses. If you want a list before we go I need it. I will send out one more updated list prob at the end of next week. Wow, 3 pages to read through... our internet was off from 3:30 yesterday until earlier today; some big problem with SBC's servers. Plus, I quit getting reminders of posts, so I had nothing to remind me to check the board today until my little brain said, "Hey, you haven't gotten any updated posts! You know those people haven't been quiet that long!" I wasn't disappointed.

No big news here, just checking in. I need to change and get to the gym before dinner.

Just a little post to say I have POWER! YIPPEE!!!! I can see and even have cool air to sleep by! It's amazing how much difference the little things can make. I am very, very, very thankful it wasn't as bad here in FL like what we're seeing on the Gulf coast. The pix just get worse and worse.

DD4 survived the ordeal fairly well. I never thought words like "generator" and "hurricane" would be commonplace in our household. It's funny what a 4-year old picks up! She still looks at the lights and says "We have power?" Too cute!

On another note - I have NOT packed. I have NOT figured out what I am going to pack. I do NOT know what I am wearing to formal night. I do NOT have my "do-it-yourself" excursions figured out. I do NOT have door signs completed. I am HOPELESS!!!! OH - but I do have PIRATE OUTFITS!!!

I promise I'll have it all figured out before I leave. OH NO - IT'S JUST TWO WEEKS AND THREE DAYS!!!! I better get going!

See what happens when I don't have you all to prompt me on what I should be doing? A week without the boards and I am horribly, horribly behind. Sigh....
