FINALLY CAUGHT UP...!

Catching up after the weekend is almost a full time job in itself.

I see my wife has posted that we got our travel docs today which is a great thing

Finally got them, well not just yet but they are sitting in the condo office and they just closed. So I will officially have them in the morning.

Got all my outfits for the cruise. This year I am only packing one per night and a few shorts/tops and some suit cover ups. Packing extra light. I am going to wear a pirate costume. I love dressing up with the kids. I even dressed up for halloween with my daughter; we were Snow Whites.

Getting DH a tux and will oder one for DS. Can't wait to see him in a tux. Dresses are going tomorrow to get altered. I am on my way.

Jenny, we are a go for one stateroom. I take it you are making signs. You don't have to for us if it is too much trouble.

Jen the shirt you made is cute. I would have never been able to do that. Wish I could.

Tracy, get your docs yet????

On a sad note, I was thinking about all of those people in the path of Katrina. My prayers go out to them. I was wondering if there was anyone on the current cruise that live in those areas. How stressful that must be. It is a real big reality check for me as I am sitting here getting so excited and prepared for my vacation. Lets keep them in our prayers and send their way.

Donna - We live in Dobson - just 8 miles south of Mt. Airy (you know - Mayberry & Mt. Pilot) - down here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mtns.

Better say goodnight - have paperwork to catch up on and I might even try to walk the treadmill before bed (although I wonder why I should start now)

Just think - less than 3 weeks!! Am looking forward to meeting all of you!

I can't believe I have not heard from my mom today...I don't think she knows that we got our doc today...that is what she gets for not checking in

We did a little running tonight...had to pick up DS(1) blind for his window...the first one we ordered was cut too short. Took DH suit to get it altered for formal night. Took my braclet back to the Diamon Cellar to get it fixed...it broke in the shower the other day. The lady at the diamond cellar scolded me for wearing it in the shower in the first place...oh well! Then went to the mall to get DS(15) a few more things for school...he starts 10th grade tomorrow! I wanted to go to Target...but ran out of time. The little guys are used to going to bed by 8pm...and we did not leave the mall until 9...they were cranky!

Going to call mom...where are you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got docs today as well. Donna (Tia), I bet you will get yours tomorrow. You know there is a lot of paper, but not really anything there. Of course I was so fired up, I filled everything out already. It took all of 15 minutes, but we are ready to go now.

Karen (nursegardner), I love where you live! We have driven through several times on the way to Sunset or Ocean Isle. It is so beautiful.

Crazy day here, back to school for everyone...........now I really need this cruise!

Okay, I have a question. What did you put on the customs forms? For when you are arriving in the Bahamas. Is that for Castaway Cay? I have nver had to fill out anything for a private island before.....are they supposed to be for St Maaten or St Thomas? I am so confused

Morning everyone! One day closer to cruise time! I am really tired today! It is only 7:20am and I need a nap already! I think it might be a long day! DS(15) started school this am...I was surprised that he was up and out the door ontime! And even without me haveing to poke and prod at him! The little guys were so tired this morning...they were up until after 9pm last night!

Gotta get some work done...

I feel like I am chatting with myself this morning!!!!!!!!
Man it is humid here today! DH and I went for a walk last night and the humidity was awful! I try to walk every night...the dog needs walked and I need the exercise! I have actully lost 9 lbs!!!!!! I am so excited! I went to wear jeans a couple of weeks ago and almost cried! Decided that I needed to either loose some weight or go buy new jeans...loosing weight was cheaper! I am trying to get DH to diet with me...but no luck yet! He is making it hard becasue he is always trying to make me eat when he eats...and he is not the healthiest eater!!!!!!!!!!
I am anxiously awaiting for some company on the boards this am

Hectic day yesterday - just finished catching up on the boards. I sure missed alot. Happy Belated Birthday and Anniversary to all that I missed.

Still waiting for docs here - Congrats Karen (D). Shouldn't be much longer for us - I hope!

Regarding pirate necklaces/eye patches - I'll take four of each if you have enough - I think it was Cruisin Lattas with all the extra stuff - right?

We leave for Karen D's in 16 days!
Can't wait for vacation!!!!!!!

Hopefully today will be less hectic than yesterday, although I like being busy - makes the go faster.

Tracy, Still want to hear the story of how you two (KD) met on the ship.....

I spent 30 minutes last night on the phone with Frontier via a silly brainless woman. First they call and switch my flights (nothing good can come from a call from Frontier...it' not like they are calling to wish me a happy anniversary) the changes were fine, then I go to print out my itinerary from their site and it has me coming back the next day (which is fine with me but DH seems to think 14 days is enough)....I call them and it is a big ordeal getting her to understand me (two year old talk, notwithstanding). It ends with me on the flight I want but in the death rows (18). I'm not fond of flying and I like to delude myself in thinking that if we crash and I am in the front I will live . Let me have my fantasies, will ya! Anyway, I hang up with dippie and call back and get row 7 Now I am safe What an ordeal! (and a FASCINATING story!)

I am off to paint today. I am muraling my friends wall (free) and she has been sooooo patient with me. It is taking me forever to get it done. I should have just treated it like a job and gotten it done because it just hangs over my head. Bad Jennifer! Don't procrastinate. Anyway, I have to get it done before we leave because I have two big jobs when we get back....so today I paint.
The customs forms still confuse me.....Do we get early ones for St Thomas.....I thought you only needed them to get into US owned countries. I have never filled them out before, anywhere, except coming back into US. Is this something new?

I am sooooo worried about Gina in Moss point (Pascagoula) Mississippi. If anyone hears anything about those two cities please let me know. They are digging people out through their roofs in Gulfport which is not that far from her. I am very worried. Let me know if any hears anything please!

Jen, first...let me just say that I googled Moss Point and Pascagoula, and the only things I could find were about hurricane Georges back in 1998. No current articles...That's probably a good sign, huh?

(ok, maybe TECHNICALLY 18 days...but MOST of us are starting our vacations AT LEAST a day early, right??? )

I want to thank everyone for their support with the exchange student. I don't know who said about treating him alright but I know, I am bending over backwards to make him feel safe and part of our family. I have to take him for a guitar and soccer shoes tonight. He wants to join soocer which is fine with me and he took a guitar class in school so now we are going to rent him one for four months. I know now I did a good thing even though everyone but my family thinks it is stupid. My mom and sister have made him feel so wanted, I really love them for that. They always back me up with whatever crazy thing I do. Oh by the way, if you look at me you will know I wouldn't tease someone about anything about them because I'm not exactly 100 lbs and I'm a better person then to do something like that. I got into hosting an exchange student from my son signing up at school to have someone come to our house and explain the program to us. When the guy came, we fell hook, line, and sinker. He has already taught my kids alot and it has only been a few days. My five year old is starting to say the numbers in Spanish. Funny how last week we didn't mind leaving Jorge behind while on vacation and now I am tryingto figure out how to take him (which I can't anyhow). I just hope the other family that will have him for ten days treats him okay. See, I see a big heartbreak in about nine months already with me. He is so good that it is hard not to really like him and treat him like one of my own.
Anyway, enough with me. I hope everyone is having a goood day and gettign their packing done, HA HA! My mom got a phone call from Disney asking her for her new address to resend her docs because she moved since we booked. Her address has been changed but they will not forward Docs for some reason so now they are sending them to her new address.
Well, I am praying for everyone to gets through this Hurricane mess all right, I'm praying for them.
Well ,I need to start supper, bye!
