Sept 16 2012 - WONDERing who's on the Calif Coastal with me?!

You know, I keep hearing that about that ride. I wonder why it keeps breaking down like that. And I don't understand the FP issue either. I thought there were only so many given out per day. Guess not.

Glad you all had a great time and I am so looking forward to this Friday!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think the FP issue is because it does break down so often, people who FP for a certain time can't use it and they get back logged later in the day. Single rider worked great for us but I know it's fun to experience the ride with your family/friends. Oh well, I am sure they will work out the kinks and it won't be a problem in the future.

I just started to do some per-packing myself. Not much just a few items I know I will not use or need until our cruise.

So excited that we will be crusing this time next week!!!! My daughter (who will be 3!) is so excited! We are taking this cruise for her and her daddys bday (1 week apart!)! Everytime she sees a boat she asks if that is our cruise and why we aren't on it!

And one very last thing for now, I am a rare native San Diego resident, so if anyone has any questions about my great city, I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Welcome aboard, we are from Palm Springs, and this my first ever cruise. My husband, a fourth generation Californian, has cruised once before.

Well, let's see. FE gifts: almost finished; Pirate costumes: Not doing; Cruise docs printed: Check; Mani/Pedi/Hair appointments: Still need to be made; Laundry done: Check; packing: half done!

Wow, I need to get on the ball as we are leaving Friday :crazy2::sad2::scared1::yay::woohoo::cool1:!

I feel like I'm so behind! Time to make a list.

A friend of mine who is sailing with me in October, gave me this Pre-printed packing list call Pack This!. I could scan it for you but I don't know how to post pictures very well at all.

It is really great as it covers literally EVERYTHING that you could possibly thing to pack. And it also has the caveat of "Bring Half of what you think you need, and twice as much money". I say there is about 50 sheets here.

So I wanted to do a pre-run to port of LA. So some buddy’s and I went for a ride. We road out where the Wonder will berth at pier 93, easy to get to. Took the 91 to 710 from the IE, went over the Vincent Thomas Bridge, exited Harbor and it drops you off close to the pier. To the right of the pier/ terminal is the USS IOWA. WOW what a ship. We may do a tour after the cruise.

This week is going to fell like the longest week ever. It seams like time is standing still. Is it the 16th yet!!
:hourglass

Cool - thanks for the heads up on the USS IOWA. How far of a walk is that from the Wonder's pier?

I think it might be faster if you take the 91 to 110 and exit at Harbor just before the Vincent Thomas Bridge IMHO.

I have never gone over that Bridge to reach the pier. AND MY HUSBAND KNOWS NOT TO TAKE ME OVER IT TOO. I do think it is faster as you say to exit at harbor.

Since we leave first thing Thursday morning I did 90% of my packing last night. I'd pulled all the clothes over the weekend and slowly started putting things back. Honestly the only reason I packed this early was because I feared everything wouldn't fit! It's tough packing for 90 degrees and 55 degrees in the same trip!

What is FE that I see people talking about?

FE is short for Fish Extender..there is a little fish by the door and you can hang things on it, so folks make hanging pockets and then join a group to exchange little gifts during the cruise. I believe the group for this cruise closed quite some time ago to let people have enough time to get together stuff to give out.

It's kind of quite here. I imagine that a lot of folks oare heading our way. :cool1::cool1::cool1: I can't wait. One more day and it's off to Disneyland/California Adventure we go. Then our Pixar California Coast Cruise:drive::3dglasses:yay::woohoo:party::jumping1::jumping3:

Okay, I'm done!!

So excited for you Brenda! Have fun in the parks! Happy early Anniversary by the way! We are doing our final shopping today, and getting everything packed up. I did a ton of laundry yesterday. I always wash everything before it goes into a suitcase even if I pulled it out of a drawer. It's the best way I've found to have everything in one place at one time.
My Graduation ceremony is tomorrow evening and then Friday is my last minute finalization. We take the 9:07am bus to Denver International Airport Saturday morning! This is SO exciting!

Same here. Just completed the air online check-in. 2.5hours of time left at the office!
