What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Last night was chicken strips and sweet potato fries.

Tonight is loaded pepperoni pizza and regular fries.

Quoting myself to add that I decided to make cookies for DS, before we leave. We rarely have dessert, so I thought I'd surprise him.

Stopped at the farmers market on my way home. I got individual pizzas. DH will probably have a tomato, mozzarella, pesto sandwich too.



Everything looked great. I also got peaches, blueberries, honey crisp apples, and a watermelon.

It just means she made a late change to the plans

Sent my home attendant to Zabar’s for a favorite already made entree: poached salmon with watercress sauce and broccoli slaw.

Had some leftover watermelon and used it up in a watermelon and rose water granita. I’ll have some for dessert tomorrow; tonight it was vanilla yogurt.

I'm fixing Chilaquiles for DH and making me Chicken Apple salad with the leftover chicken from last night

Spiced salmon, broccoli and maybe the leftover house fried rice from the Chinese food I got last night and we did not touch.

My wife and older son are at Cedar Point for the day (I had to stay behind to work), so tonight will be something simple. Probably just grill some hot dogs or burgers.

Last night was slow cooker kielbasa and kraut with oven-roasted potatoes. Tonight is pizza night.

Went out for flatbread pizzas. We planned on getting a side salad too but if we wanted anything more than mixed greens there were so many additional charges for veggies, cheese or protein it was going to be a $25 side salad so we just got flatbreads.

Hubby grilled up some sirloin burgers and baked up some sweet potato fries. I’m spent from the week. I help my friend on Mondays & Fridays when I’m in town. Her husband has Parkinson’s and it’s progressing. Really hard to watch. (And, I’ve seen a lot. Retired Army nurse) Time to pour a nice glass of wine. Take care of your loved ones and give them all a hug!

I’m going to roast a turkey breast on the Traeger today. Sides will be apple arugula salad and smashed potatoes. Need to make sure I make a gravy from the drippings this time.
