FE question-- have any of you used something other than the traditional hanging pocket type for a FE??? I don't sew, and not sure I really want to buy one-- would a tote bag work? any suggestions? thanks all!

There are plenty of options for an FE pocket - we've seen a variety of different bags used, just try to find one that is not too large (the area around the fish really isn't that big so something that is long and narrow would be best). With the back to school sales going on a number of places have a variety of hanging organizers that are lightweight and small (like a hanging shoe holder) that could work.

This will be cruise #6 for us -- we've been very fortunate with our FE hangers but I'm starting to read more reports of them being stolen. Anyone ever have issues? One place I read even suggested bringing along a zip tie to secure it to the fish (and small scissors to remove the zip tie before you leave). I guess that's not a bad idea...

some cosmetic [3 sections] hanging bags work,cause they have those big hooks and u can add to each pocket..hth

For the adult meet up first sea day would be great. How about Diversions? It's a nice space and not as crazy as some of the other spots. We can always do a pub crawl too. Liking the crawl theme here folks

Pirate night question. I have read that it gets really crowded, but we don't want to miss that at all. The girls already have pirate outfits. Where do they have the pirate night activities? Any suggestions on a good location to be in our siutation where my husband will be able to move a round a little and not be face-to-butt (LOL - if that makes sense ).

pirates party is best party at sea! and the fireworks are really special i think deck 10 is a great idea for your hubby cause if he was on main deck people could block his views of jumbotron screen.
if u can eat a lite dinner ,they had WHOLE turkey drumsticks at pirates buffet yo ho ho amazing food..i might just skip dinner....ah no..lolo

I am on the verge of booking this cruise. It would be me, my DM who turns 79 one month before the cruise, and my DS 5 and DS 8. My kids, especially the 8 yr old, are HUGE Pixar fans and watch all the bonus features/interviews on the movies. My husband won't be going with us, but we have to make a decision as a family that we are going. In other words, I need him to sign off on spending the money!!!

Anyway, I'm just curious if there will be many other kids on the cruise? I like it when there are enough kids that they can make friends, but not so many they take over the ship!

Oh good! The only other DCL cruise we have done was the transatlantic, and that was so great because it wasn't too crowded but there were still enough kids that they all had a good time together.
