CdianDreamer and Fellow Canadian! For the Sept 11th cruise, you are in the right place. Everyone on this thread will be on that cruise! Where in Ontario are you from? How are you getting to FL? Driving or Flying? We have always driven down, but as this cruise is just for me and my DS7, I can't drive all that way on my own, so I guess I'll be flying (nervous about that though).

B2B cruises, no discounts, but I'm looking forward to it. The prices were fantastic when I booked, and I just couldn't see doing a 4 night cruise when we just finished a 7 night. Less than 7 will never do it for me again, so a B2B is the next best thing.

I wish there was a B2B discount! I want to add the one after (15-18) but another $1100 on top of what I paid for this one (booked late) will be too much after my DFTW/Familymoon!

The only discount a person can get is by booking a cruise while on board a cruise. I think it's a 10% discount currently. There are other perks such as On Board Credit and Half Deposit.

They will give you onboard credit I assume? What does half deposit mean?
If you are flying in are you staying near the airport and getting the transfer?

By half deposit, I mean you only have to pay half of what the usual deposit would be. Sorry for the short form answer earlier, I was trying to give a baby her bottle and type at the same time. I'm on face book if you want to look me up. (Judy Baggott), just let me know who you are when you make the friend request as otherwise I ignore people I don't know.

I'm renting a car from the airport when I get there, and have a hotel room booked at Country Inn & Sweets in Cape Canaveral, for the night before the cruise. If I get the flight I want, I'll be landing around noon in Orlando. If that is actually what happens, I'm thinking of either taking my son to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort in WDW, OR take him to visit an Orange Grove as THAT is something neither of us have ever seen. For the way back to after our cruise though, I have purchased one way transfers through DCL. Thought that would be the easiest way to go at that point.

DAVID, when is harvest time for oranges? Will there be oranges on trees this time in September?

I hope everyone has had a great week!!! My final count down has started all. I have 3 weeks..........15 working days, after today, until my semi-retirement starts. I will be working 3 short, 7 hour days, until I am ready for full retirement!!! I'll have a 4 day week-end every week!!!

Did everyone get to watch the Christening of the Dream live on the 19th? I had to work so I did not get to see it live. DW and I watched the shortened version on here. From what I read there were several special guests on board also. Whoopi Goldberg, Samantha Brown to name just a couple.

Also thought I'd explain some of the abbreviations. When I was new to the Dis Boards, I couldn't understand them, so figured this would make it easier for newcomers

DH = Dear (or Darling) Husband
DW = Dear " Wife
DS = Son
DS = Daughter
You get the idea, it goes on and on. I just learned the other day what lmao meant, but think I'll use the smily icons for that
