Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

Howdy all. Just wanted to introduce our group as we'll be joining you on this cruise. We'll be cruising to celebrate (ahead of time) oldest dd's graduation from high school. It will be myself, dh, dd (17), ds (13), dd (7), ds (7)- no they're not twins- then dh's parents (would that be dils), dh's brother and his wife, my sister and her husband, and maybe my nephew, his wife, and two sons (depending on if he's deployed to Iraq). I think there might be a few more, maybe a family friend or two, but have no further commitments.

This will by our 7th Disney cruise, first on the Dream (obviously), and dh's family has cruised with us before, but for my sister and her dh- first time! She can't wait, he's just coming because it's a family thing and she bribed him with a trip to Kennedy SC.

Looking forward to reading through the thread and getting to know all of you.

Julie

Well Julie let me be the first to :welcome::welcome::welcome: you and your family our little cruise thread. I know you will have some fun with all of us counting down our days until we set sail on the Dream!!!:cool1::cool1:

I hope everyone is having a great week-end. Our temps here in Florida are finally warming up again:cool2:...............thank goodness!!!! It's been just plain toooooooooooooooooo cold for us down here!!! today it's suppose to be in the mid 60's and tomorrow close to 70. :dance3:

Milpreston, you have a great looking family. DW and I have never been to Disneyland..........got to go there some time soon. We've been to WDW so many times we've lost count. Like you and your family, we have passes to WDW and use them as often as we can.

Well, I have to go and run a few errands. Talk to ya'll again soon.:yay:

Not crowded at all. That is why I love year round school because we can go when all the other kids are in school. They are excited but I think I am more excited. :goodvibes

We want to make a West Coast trip one of these days - so many places that we want to go!

I'm sure they will be more excited as it gets closer to time. Have you shown them any of the pictures that people have posted online?

:dance3: WELCOME! :dance3:

My oldest DD (17) will be graduating too. :thumbsup2 Has she decided where she wants to go to college yet?

:banana:Woo Hoo! Paid the deposit yesterday! We are so excited!:cool1:

It will be DH, DD (12), DS (will be 9) and me!:cool1:

This is a celebration cruise for us as well. My DD wanted to turn 13 on a Disney cruise. Her birthday falls on a three night cruise and we really wanted to try a four night this time. So I convinced her it will be just as magical and we get one more night. (She turned 7 on our first Disney cruise and it was very magical.) Also, hopefully, both DD and DS will be getting their Black Belts in August. So we will be celebrating their accomplishments.

We will be following up this cruise with about 10 days at Disney World (depends on flights). We are going to book a condo at Windsor Hills for two weeks. That way we can leave some of our things there while we are on the cruise. We will be getting our tickets through the YES program. My DD and DS will be taking a class through the YES program the Friday after the cruise. This will be the first trip that we go to the waterparks. So we are very excited!:cool1:

:Welcome: Skoi and Gerberdaisy1234!!! That is wonderful that they will be getting their Black Belts, what a great way to celebrate. My DD8 is going to be testing for her brown belt this spring.

Great news for us now Grandma-the-Great and Megan(my soon to be SIL) Will also be joining us on this cruise!:banana:

We are so excited that everyone is joining us for our wedding!!

I think my mom(ragdoll) needs to get a a list on her first post with all of our cruisers!:thumbsup2

She actually graduates in June 2012- so she's not sure yet. Or she better graduate, if not, she's paying me back for the trip. :lmao:

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Really looking forward to this trip. It'll be the first half of a back to back. Just us for the second cruise.

:cheer2: Welcome! :cheer2:

My DD12 will turn 13 just after the cruise. She is SO bummed that she can't get any of the spa treatments for the 13-17 year olds.

Which YES class are you doing? I have heard those are fun but my kids have never done any of them!

Yes, my DD17 (she just turned 17 yesterday!) will graduate May 2012. She has her eyes set on some pretty pricey colleges so she better keep those grades high and pray for scholarships!

I'm getting more and more nervous (but for a different reason currently) each time I check the airline prices for the dates for this cruise. Back in November when I first checked, I could get tickets out of Syracuse on Delta Airlines, return for the two of us, for $449.00, But now when I check the lowest prices for the times I need now total $589.00 !!!! :scared1: I can't purchase yet, and am worrying that the prices will go up the longer I wait. Is this typical of airlines? Or do their prices tend to come down, the closer to the flight dates? :confused3

:welcome::welcome::welcome: Gerberdaisy1234 and family. This is going to be one GREAT cruise for everyone. And, you will be staying at WDW for 10 days.............it just don't get any better then that!!!:cool1::cool1:

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week-end. DW has me started on that ol, hunny do list she makes out for me. It's not too bad, but i would just like to relax and take it easy.................sometime today!!!

Judy, can't help with plane fare pricing. DW and I haven't flown in years. Neither one of us are very good fliers. We will do it only if we have too. We are thinking about doing an Hawaiian cruise sometime in the near future. That would be a plane trip:scared1: over to the islands. Oh well, seeing the Hawaiian Islands, the plane trip over would be well worth it.

Well, I have to go and ruun an errand before starting on my hunny do list. Talk to ya'll soon.:woohoo:

I was worried about this as well. Our flight only went up $20, though. We decided to book. Since gas prices are going up I assume flights will be too.
:confused3 Fortunately, we only had to buy one way tickets home for the kids so it wasn't too bad.

Thank you all for the "Welcomes" We are very excited to be joining you.

:cheer2: Welcome! :cheer2:

Cool! Maybe we can introduce them. My DD is more worried that from the pics we had seen that The Edge look boring compared to the Lab and the Club.:laughing:I am sure we will spend some time with my DS in the Lab/Club because I have to admit...THEY LOOK SOOO FUN! But I am sure she will have a good time in the Edge.:)

Not sure which YES class yet. They have not officially posted September's dates for Individual Enrollment but I talk with Ashley for the YES office and she said gave me a unofficial list of class dates. Saying a prayer that it stays because that is how we are able to get such a tremendous discount on the tickets.

We did Homeschool Days Jan. 2010 and we loved it!

I have noticed that is varies up and down. That is one reason why I like Southwest. If it goes down you and cancel and rebook. There are no penalties and you get a credit that you have a year to use.

Well, living closer to WDW like you do would be nice but I count my blessings...you are right...It is the BEST!!!:banana:Two weeks of Disney Fun!!!:banana:

Welcome to the Newbies!!! Sorry I didn't get that out before now.

I'm taking a bold step today and paying off this portion of our B2B cruise. It'll be good to just have it paid, done with, makes it a little more real. Once both portions are paid for, then I can book my airfare. I'll just have to bite the bullet on that part I guess. Anyway, I got good news in the mail today. My Costco Amexerican Express rebate chq!!!!! It was definately a NICE amount, so I'm going to apply that to my Amex card, always staying a step ahead. :thumbsup2

It's mighty cold out here today. -25 C (thats -13 F). BRRRRRRRRR!!! Staying indoors today for sure. DH drove our boys to school so they wouldn't have to walk, and DS7 takes the school bus home afterwards. DS18 starts his new full time job today!!!!!!! DH works for Purolator Courier, and thus has connections with businesses on his route. So now DS works at a Car shop, Mr. LUBE, and will be doing computer work as well as changing brakes and oil on vehicles. He's happy about it, full time work for now AND has decided to attend our Local IN TOWN College in Sept, rather than moving out of town again. His new employer has already told him they'll move him down to part time when he goes back to College, HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!!
So, now he can pay me back for his cell phone bill, and then PAY his own cell phone as well as pay for College registration ect.... maybe help out every now and then with some groceries (he eats like a pig, yet doesn't look like it). I buy 12 litres of milk each week, and that always lasts me a week, When he's not here. But now that he's been back home, we go through 12 litres every 3 days!!! :scared1: I love him though, and one semester away at College has sure changed him for the better attitude wise!!! He's not as miserable now :thumbsup2
Anyway, YA'll have a GREAT DAY!!!:wizard:

Thank you for all the Welcomes! Now that we have our deposit in I can read thorugh some more and see what kind of meet-ups or FE things we can do for the cruise! I am looking forward to the fun pic with the other bride Shannon! :)
Ryan and I have done a Carnival cruise before but are really looking forward to having the Royal Disney Treatment on the cruise! :) And finishing off our honeymoon this way!

Right here in the slush with you:rotfl:

We were hoping for some sledding snow but guess not this time. :confused3

I keep checking the weather in Orlando because we have friends there. :thumbsup2And remembering last year when we were there the same time. We came back to two big snows! :scared1:Remember those two weekends?:scared1: I was ready to move to Florida! (Well, I could still move there. Maybe I will change my mind after the Spetember heat...but I doubt it.:))
