No much going on today other than fighting a rotten cold. I've been busy working on scrapbook pages of our last two cruises. I've learned and am still learning how to do this digitally and find it lots of fun, definately rewarding.

I was wondering if anyone has a good photo of that Chandelier on the Disney Magic? Thats the only one I'm missing for my the layout I'm currently working on. If any previoius cruisers have it, would you mind if I use it for my page? I'll be forever greatful!

It's been one of those days.

We will be joining you. It's ME - Tiffany and friend Kaye on a girls get away cruise - No DHs or Kids! Actually we've been watching all the Dream pictures and reading the desctiptions and drooling. So instead of Dreaming about the Dream - We booked it! We can't wait! This will be cruise #7 for me and #6 for Kaye.

I have not told my kids about this cruise yet. I'm not sure how they will take me cruising without them (I've done it once before in 2007 with DH). They can't complain we just got off the Magic last week on an Eastern and we're booked as a family on the Fantasy in 2012. I just can't wait that long!!!

Are we doing a FE exchange? I have not read the entire thread yet, but if we are I'd like to join.

Once you know your stateroom number, pm that to me to put on the master list. I'll email out the master list closer to the cruise dates or when people are ready to package up their FE gifts.

Girls getaway cruise We are also booked on the Fantasy in 2012,August actually, but I couldn't pass up on the Dream (originally my whole family was booked for this one, but then I cancelled it and booked the Fantasy, then I rebooked this one as a Mommy and Me trip for myself and my now 7yr old DS. He doesn't yet know about it, but his birthday is in July, I figure I'll tell him then. When is your family going on the Fantasy?

I'm Julia and DH & DD will be sailing on the DREAM 9/11/11 and we are SO excited!! DH and I last cruised on our honeymoon back in 1995, so it's been waaaaay too long since we have cruised! Our DD will be initiated into cruising at age 18 months old. I, myself have been on 6 other cruises all starting at age 10. My parents were avid cruisers and I was blessed enough to cruise and travel with them. I have been drooling over all the pics of the DREAM and getting DH excited about it too! We are hopefully doing 3 days prior to the cruise at the parks. Can you believe DH has NEVER been to a Disney park?! (sheltered life...lol). The whole fish extender thingy is totally new to me, but we would love to participate! We are booked in cabin 6056, cat 5D. I am looking forward to meeting you all! Oh, and I love weddings!! How exciting!

It's tax time, so DW and I are going to do our taxes this week-end. Looking forward to getting that done and out of the way. (Also, getting the tax return back ain't bad either!!!)

Well, all, ol' boss man returns Monday, and I am off the hook of being in charge. I don't mind helping out.........if only I got ol' boss man's pay!!!!
Also, I only have 10 full working days left until I semi-retire!!!! I'll be on the DIS board more often.............you lucky people you!!!!

On my last post, I had lost my job and was unable to book this cruise, but things have taken a turn for the better...I have work again, and I just booked the cruise today! I'm so excited that my family will be sailing with all of you!!

Lets just hope that nothing else comes up and I have to cancel...

Has anyone ever used Florida Sunshine Shuttle to Port C? They have a $69 each way for 3 people and say it's about a 90 min drive...does that seem accurate? We are unsure right now if we will be doing the pre Disney parks part due to the costs and the fact that DD will only be 18mos. Don't know if she will enjoy it yet. But the cruise is for ALL of us!! I'm SOOOOO excited!!

I've never been to Windsor except maybe once as a child to visit family friends. I do have a friend from there though Might you possibly be flying with Allegiant Air if you will be flying into Sanford? I'm looking at Allegiant as a possibility but their Sept dates aren't out yet. Hopefully in another few weeks all Airlines that don't yet, will have their Sept dates out.
As for FE gifts, it's up to everyone to gift how they want. Personally I give once to each cabin/person. I may spread my deliveries over a few nights but for a smaller group, I try to get it all done in one evening or day. I don't want this to take up anyones time to do other things on board, so just gift how you want. I usually make one gift per child, one per couple and one per single adult. Some will make one gift per family. Many ways to do it, and it's up to each individual how they would like to go about it.
Last fall I painted 5x7 wood frames for each couple/single adult, and included in it a photo of the Magic with our cruise dates on it. In each bag I also included a full size Areo and Coffee Crisp Chocolate Bars. For the kids, I gave each child age 3 and up a full size box of smarties (Canadian kind), and a POC pillow case that they could color in and also could hand into guest services to have autographed by all the characters. I got a great deal on those pillow cases through Janlyn online, .99 cents per pillow case (when here in our stores they were selling for $9.99). Dollar stores, oriental trading online as well as what you mentioned, ebay, are great places to look for FE gifts or ideas.

I over ordered the kids FE stuff from this past fall, from Oriental trading and Janlyn. But that made me a step ahead for the kids FE gifts this year. I just need to figure out the adults stuff.

Goofydad and Shannon, I was reading someone else's post on the main board this evening, where this diser asked if people can get married on the ships. One of the replies indicated that the ceremony first happens in the terminal, and then again on the ship. Is that correct? Will you be getting married in/on both? I figure since you two are getting married there, you would know the answer.

Yes, we are planning on flying Allegiant! We have taken them in the past to FL and it was just fine. The only thing is you have to pay for the baggage. And no, their schedules only go through Aug 15. I am hoping they put the rates up after the 1st of Feb!
Thanks for the info on FE. I have checked out ebay & etsy and am going to try to make one myself since I have plenty of time to still order one if mine stinks. LOL.

SO fellow 9/11 Dream cruisers...are we going to have the food service issues?! I can't wait for more trip reports, to see how things shape up.

Just thought I'd mention that apparently the Inside Staterooms and Oceanview Staterooms on our cruise are all completely sold out. Looks like we'll be making LOTS of new friends on this sailing!

Hello everyone, sorry I missed all these posts! We actually get married in front of the Walt theatre I believe(not sure if it's the same on the Dream) before the sail away party. We can't get married on international waters.


Well, Since I've been off work I'm actually finally getting some things planned. We got the rings taken care of and today I plan on getting the Bridesmaid bouquet made. It's a lot cheaper at Pat Catan's than ordering on board.

Should be a packed ship. My future Grand-mother inlaw just booked a room and had to get a category 5 everything else was sold out.

I hope we don't have food service problem but I think the kinks will be worked out by then

Today it is only partly cloudy not bright sunshine as usual, and - and it might even rain. And - and - and it is only suppose to get up to 75 degrees today!!! (What's up with that!!!)

Well, I finally bit the bullet and booked airfare after it went up yet again. It is $200 more for DH and I than when we last flew to MCO in Sept. of 2009. I was not willing to go over $600 for the two of us. We came in right under. So, when airfare comes down, which it will since I booked it, you all can thank me.
