Sorry to upset the apple cart but GIBRALTAR is the correct spelling.

So it is..I have corrected it. To all those that I've done apologies. Here's the correct spelling..my bad!

I'll repost in a moment. I am just going to take the dogs out.

If you have space for Bruce and I we will join. HOw do we let DCL know to put us all together?

Sounds great! I'm not sure how to get this done - can anyone tell us how we go about getting our dining reservations linked?

Cliff, FYI, we are set for the second seating...are you?

Hi All!

As you my be aware, yesterday was World Book Night, when 20,000 people in the UK each gave away 48 copies of one of 20 books they had chosen from a list compiled by the organisers.

I was one of those chosen!

My choice of book was the utterly fabulous One Day by David Nicholls, a sad, funny and beautifully written look at the relationship of two friends over 20 years, revisiting them on the same date each year. It has been made into a film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, due for release in the autumn.

I have kept one copy back to share in the on-board Book Bag which, if no-one else wants the job, I am more than happy to organise this year.

There will, of course, be books on sale in the shop and there is also a borrow-and-bring-back cupboard in The Cove.
As 2010 sailors may recall, the selection is pretty grim at the start of the voyage but definitely improves as the voyage goes on.

If you have any books you want to donate or swap there will be a bag hanging outside room 6140, which is not far from the aft stairwell

Jane.

I love this guy...:dancer:

We are Main Setaing now, but willing to change for the right table ::rotfl:

I will ask my TA if there is a way to link for dining. M We may just need to send DCL a note a month or so before.

Last time we all linked dining so that all the late diners were sitting in the same area. It's best to do it after the 75 day window though, as it ends up causing problems with booking excursions and Palo etc if you link before everything is booked.

Ok here are all the ones with the correct spelling.

I can't believe I have spelt something wrong again...It is so unlike me, even my DH is surprised. It must be lack of sleep.

That's a great idea, then we are all roughly together. Does one person take responsibility for collating the info and contacting dcl?

Great idea Jane and thanks for doing this. Last time I didn't do too much reading but this time I hope to relax a lot more and read more. I really like the sound of that book you are talking about so that could be one I look out for. :thumbsup2

This sounds fab, I will let my DH know as he reads a lot so I am sure he will be interested. :thumbsup2

Aww bless you for re-doing them all. I never noticed it either. ;)

Last time I did it through my travel agent Tracy who is a star and always happy to help with any arrangements. I would be happy to keep the late dining list again.

That sounds fab, it would be great if we can all be in the same area. ::yes:: If you don't mind arranging it with your TA Sarah then please add Lee & I to the list. :thumbsup2

I guess we wait a while before arranging table mates? I assume that we arrange tablemates before you get all the tables linked, is that right?

Michelle, it isn't really a spelling mistake but the last letter missed off and easily done. Most of us didn't even notice!!

It is the day of Tortola... a catamaran power sail over to Jost VanDyke for a beach day and snorkeling. Home of Soggy Dollar Bar... where the Painkiller was invented. Less than half the price of what DCL is charging, and if we get 40 paying passengers, it will be just our DIS group.

White Bay... check out this YouTube... you'll get the idea!! Kenny mentions JVD at about 1:15 into this...

So if we don't have 40 people do we not get to go...:sad2: Another quick question what kind of currency do they take???

Last time we linked people who wanted to sit on the same table, and those who just wanted to sit in the same area but had no table preferences were randomly assigned to tables in that area. It all worked out really well though. So basically any special requests for tablemates were accomodated but all the DISers were close together !!

With changing our previous ressie through our TA last week to the new one direct with DCL to get the UK residents discount, we would have to contact DCL to do it. When we have done it in the past it was through our TA and it was no problem.

Thanks for offering to do it :thumbsup2

I don't have any job to do so far, and you are doing the dolphin trip too, if anyone needs a hand organising anything, I would be happy to help :)

That makes sense, thanks for clarifying. :thumbsup2

Thanks Ladies :)

I really do need a good nights sleep.

I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.
