We're now looking into it also - looks very nice... :thumbsup2

Hi Peggy! Just let me know if you guys decide. :) We are now up to the following count (we have a max capacity), so it is close to getting closed.

Tortola to Jost VanDyke Excursion
(post #5 on page 1 of this thread has details of this excursion)
Walking distance to ship dock, pay in US dollars or traveler's checks at dock when boarding catamaran, private DIS catamaran sail to White Bay, JVD 8:30-2:30

Current Counts:
For sure going: 37 (paying pax)
+ Maybe going: 4 (maybe paying pax)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly going: 41 (paying pax - need 40 minimum)

For sure (under 3): 2 (no charge for under 3)

Total capacity: 43 (includes under age 3, free)

** Need 40 paying, max capacity of 50. **

Hmm...don't you have two children? Are you just getting the rest of us to come along and play with the kids?

LOL! Yep - two kids, but only one under age three. If I had two kids under age three I'd be crazy! :rotfl2: We've done catamaran sails in the Caribbean and Hawaii before when our older daughter was under age 2... we snorkel, put a life vest on the little one and pull her behind in an inflatable ring. Our older daughter begins private swim lessons in May, and will have "snorkel" training as well that I spoke with her teacher about. :thumbsup2 And after a good swim, that sail back to Tortola will probably be nap time. I'm always amazed how a kiddo can sleep anywhere, no matter what is going on.

Of those booked, we have three qualifying for the child rate (age 3-11) and two free (under age 3) plus some I believe that are under 18 but having to pay the "adult" rate since the cutoff is age 11 for child rate. It'll be a great mix! :thumbsup2

:worship::worship: Auntlynne, Thank You!!! :worship: :worship:

Nice recap. Appreciate the work you put into arranging it.
Also, Woohoo! I was excited to be quoted in the recap. (Silly, I know.)
Okay, I'll be held to the promise to exercise on the cruise.... :headache:

Again, Thanks Lynne! :thumbsup2

:yay::yay::yay:DITTO from Sandy and Tony :cheer2::cheer2:

Hopelessly gotten behind on the topic. Had a silly fall recently and dealing with a concussion, so screentime is been very little. Too little pre-cruise-drooling-dreaming-screentime, imho. ;) Have to do some serious reading up soon. Fingers crossed by then I still can catch up with you guys. :rotfl2::lmao:

Had a nice pre-cruise-fun-day today. Hit Ebay last week and today my package was here. No less than 8 lovely formal and semiformal dresses for a little over 70 pounds incl. shipping. :cheer2: I know, a tad much. Won't be bringing all along probably and some dresses will be part of my standard outfits. Just loved so many different dresses and with these prices... Oh well, at least now I know I've got an outfit that will fit me whatever size I end up wearing in september. :worship:

Jacqueline, are you OK now? Please be careful.

Mum is well (better then the last week) and for the first time actually resting and doing as she is told. She has seen her local doctor and will be trying a new machine that will (hopefully) help with her breathing difficulties in the next month or so. So we are on track for the Disney Cruise, in fact I actually think she is looking forward to this holiday.

Never bought off EBay, have seen a few dresses that I liked but never been adventurous enough to start the process. Might take your lead and order a couple for the cruise.

Welcome aboard Mel! :dance3:

We are now in one of the sideways cabins, 5001. :thumbsup2 That reminds me, I need to PM the organisers of various thing to update my details.

Are you leaving post for the various activities and news: Jost Van ****, Noel's Welcome Wagon...? etc...

When I set up a part 2 of a thread, we let the appropriate people save a post at the beginning to have them all in the front. If they didn't have time to get all the information in order, they just had to type "saved" or something other and then fill in later. Makes one less step later in that they don't have to go through you to update it.

That is a great idea, that way we can all keep our FE, Champagne girls etc lists up to date every day. ::yes:: Rather than PM Karen every few weeks.

Hi Mel

We are Mary and DH Stevie and we live in North Scotland at Inverness.

What an amazing cruise to choose for your first one, we did the WBTA last year and said it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. Compared to Disneyworld, this will be one of the most fun filled chilled vacations you will have :thumbsup2

As for not liking boats, DH convinced me to go on a 3 day on the Disney Wonder in 2005, just to try it out, as I don't have sea-legs and we've never looked back, we are completely hooked and cruise with DCL at any given opportunity :cool1:

We booked a christmas trip to WDW 2 years ago and kept it a secret from our DD for 6 months, it was sooo difficult and nearly slipped up a few times, but managed to surprise her in the end.... good luck I hope you manage too :thumbsup2

SECOND WEEKLY CATCH-UP FOR WBTA

Fantastic re-cap yet again Lynne :worship: :worship: many thanks for taking the time to do it :)

auntlynne - thank you for the recap :thumbsup2

Lynne, fantastic recap, thank you so much. i really don't know how you do that!

LOL! Yep - two kids, but only one under age three. If I had two kids under age three I'd be crazy! :rotfl2:

My daughter had 4 under 3!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1: Her surprise 3rd pregnancy turned out to be twins. It sure was hard work.

I actually had 3 under 3 after a surprise final pregnancy. One of my embarrassing moments was when we had the 2 tiny ones and I was massively pregnant and had to go for blood tests. The nurse came to the Family Planning Clinic to do that. Walking into that building I felt a real candidate I can tell you.

Thank you. I am a bit nervous as I don't really like boats

But I'm so excited

:welcome: to the wbta party:

this is also our first ever cruise but hopefully not our last

let the planning begin:yay:

Hi There

I took the WBTA last year, and that was my first cruise. All my friends thought I was crazy booking a Transatlantic for my very first cruise, however before I even got onboard I knew I was in for for an amazing time, meeting loads of great people on the boards before I left, then being able to spend such a great time with them on board was one of the best Disney experience i'd ever had.

Being able to get involved in as little or as many onboard activities as you want means everyone in your group can tailor there holiday so they have a great time, i love joining in so each evening I look at the navigator and plan the next day of fun,

In fact I'm a little embarrassed to admit that a couple of days last WBTA it got to about 4 o clock in the afternoon and I realised I'd not been outside all day I was so busy enjoying in onboard activites LOL, on all those lovely seadays you could almost forget that you're onboard a ship with so much to see and do onboard.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Karen, my hat is off to you for running the threads for this cruise. I did it for the WBPC in January - it sure takes dedication! I also did what Marilyn said - started the thread and alerted the event organizers so they could post a "place holder" post right after the first post. Then I posted the link on the previous thread. It worked out fine.

Mandy, I pm'd you - my three are now firm.

Off to Massachusetts this morning. Going to have a 'meet' with my two cabin mates this weekend! Can't WAIT! But, I won't be wired, so sure depending on Marilyn's recap next week!!

MandyGirl,

Done! :thumbsup2

Oh - and Linda - your three are in the definitely column as well now! :)

I'm so glad she is doing better, Burnice!

Wowsers!! :worship:

And thinking about the new thread, we could have Lynne do a placeholder for her weekly recap (?) ;)

And I'm like you... looking forward to the Morrison's experience!! :thumbsup2

I am the same way - I work in marketing for a grocery chain and enjoy checking out grocery stores in other parts of the country/world just out of sheer curiosity! I would really like to see how Aldi in Europe compares with Aldi here in the US.
