Great first cruise to start with It was my first cruise too when I did it last year.

Yes Tim is just lovely - a proper gent I have friends and relations in Kilmarnock. My late husband was from Kilmaurs.

Small world I look forward to meeting you in September. My sister lived in Stewarton for years, so I passed through Kilmaurs regularly, also had school chums who lived there.

I might recognise you if you were on last year's WBTA, I never usually forget a face and, after 2 weeks, you got to know familiar faces

Well, here is the response from our travel agent re: the Expedia deal and their agency's lack of OBC offers:

"Hi, Chris!

Well, as of right now (agency name) is not offering any additional OBC, but my guess is that it’s very possible we’ll see something like that later on this spring. Should that offer become available I would certainly make sure that it was applied to your reservation so you got the additional credit. In any event I’ll make sure that you’re happy with the deal you have – the last thing I want is for you to feel like you could have gotten better value elsewhere."

Well, it looks like I will be canceling through our current TA and rebooking with DU. I emailed them this morning and have already been incredibly responsive - plus we would get their $200 OBC plus the $50 Disney Visa OBC. Every little bit helps!

Once she gets all of our arrangements exactly as we had them before, I'll be canceling through our other TA. I sort of feel bad about it - but I guess this is "just business" - right?

I don't blame you. I think OBC means a lot to us cruisers and it is a shame other smaller TA's can't compete with that.

Definitely .... I think if we meet up at about 6pm at the Hard Rock on Placa Catalunya, we can chat and have a drinky and then anyone who wants to eat we can book a table / tables for about 7:30 - 8:00. Does this sound about right. Can you add this to the list Noel

Someone last time organised us having the downstairs room at the HRC for the group. I think we got a discount off the first drink or something. Perhaps Sarah can remember. People just ate there as and when they felt like it so no need to book tables.

If anyone is interested in Mojito, Mixology, Beer or Wine tasting drop me a PM saying which they're interested in doing. I will keep a list.

I am definately in for the Mojito & Mixology, i'll check with hubby and PM you later as he may do the Mojito & Beer one too.

Gosh, I have Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Hurlford too

Unfortunately we were gutted we can't make it, we have a friend's 40th birthday party that night

But we'll see you 2 weeks later

Due to work commitments, I couldn’t take Friday 9th off work as well, so we are flying to London on the Friday night to connect at the crack of dawn to fly to BCN early in the morning.

Unfair you guys will all be partying in the HRC and we will be in a Travelodge at London City Airport, unable to sleep as we will be so excited

Count us in for wine tasting, I have never tried a Mojito !!

May I just suggest that this may be harder to arrange private tastings unless we find someone in a concierge suite as that is how it was done last year. Don't want to throw a monkey wrench in your ideas but it was quite difficult to do if I remember. You might drop a PM to Sue Kraft (su_kraft) and ask her about her arrangements.

If this a doable event, I will be happy to add it to my "welcome wagon" post.

Might I suggest you drop a quick PM to Michael (mdwoodman) who was the last years organizer of the Hard Rock Cafe meet in Barcelona? If you can get the details about how he planned the meet it might be helpful.

I think I should wait to add this meet to be sure it is possible or do you just want me to add it? Please let me know.
