GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Thanks for the terrific recap, Lynne!

Happy Birthdays, Karen & Dan!

Safe Journey, Lynne! See you soon :)

Happy Day, All!

Thank you for the Birthday wishes!

Lynne - Safe travels and see you next week. ;-)

Dan

Thanks for the great recap, Lynne!!! Have fun in London!! See you on the ship!!

Happy Birthday Dan and Karen!:bday::bday:

thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone!

Happy Birthday Karen and Dan!! Hey, I know, how about a trip to celebrate?

DH's appendicitis-pain scare seems to have resolved into a muscle pull; he has been working out extra hard in anticipation of the excesses of the cruise and I think it caught up. Thank you for all the pixie dust!

This time next week I will be so useless for anything. Is anyone else having trouble concentrating at work?

Reposting as I am still waiting for lots of you to send me the required information.....

CHAMPAGNE GIRLS PLEASE READ!!!!

Ladies, I need to get some information from everyone who will be attending the meet. I need to send a list to DCL so they can charge the $20 fee's to our rooms once we are onboard.

(Reminder of confirmed details - 15th September, 3-4.30pm at Sessions)

Therefore if you are definitely coming to the Champagne Girls event please can you PM me with your full name & cabin number (or GTY).

PLEASE NOTE = you WILL be charged by DCL even it you don't show up on the day. If you have decided you don't want to come then please let me know so I can offer someone on the waitlist your place.

Thanks, I am really looking forward to seeing you all in your pink tops, Tiara & Feather Boa's. :yay:

I have been away for a while, and noticed today that the Dolphin encounter for Gibraltar is gone. In chasing through the threads and recaps,I noticed that there was some issues with the operators wanting to change the times and the likelihood of seeing dolphins was less than led to believe. I assume the DIS excursion is now off?

Happy Birthday, Karen and Dan!! :bday:

The forecast model of Katia I am looking at this morning makes me breathe easier...
http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201112_ensmodel.html

I'll breathe easier as we get into Labor Day if the easterly curve comes true. They are calling for this one to be a monster regardless of where it goes, which could be Bermuda. Hopefully it being that far out would not screw up travel in the US.

Part of my concern in addition to NY in general being affected by this is that AA only has one flight to BCN on Thursday. If something happens to that and it gets canceled, we'd be bumped below everyone else already booked on Friday's flight, which would put us into BCN only a few hours before embarkation...if we made the flight.

I'm not one who is comfortable only having one option, which is why I am putting the option of reroute in my back pocket. Problem is all of the fees that AA wants to charge to rebook a FREE ticket!

I get very paranoid when traveling internationally given how much $ is involved - our last trip to London we went through FOUR canceled flights on AA due to weather and then could not get a seat on the remaining ones because they were all full - we could not get out of STL for almost 8 hours and just barely made the last flight of the day to LHR out of O'Hare!

Phew, you can breathe a sigh of relief now.

Yes, I will be a bit of a mess this time next week. Not at work(retired) but it must be hard for those of you who are.

Yay!!

Let me know if I can help you and Claire with the GTY thing. I can't believe DCL is going to keep everyone hanging til they check in at the port.

If you have a list of stateroom numbers, by all means, send it to me so I can compare it to what have at this point.

Happy Birthday Dan & Karen :) :cake: Hope you're both having a great day.

On the Mixology and Mojito tastings.

The official word is everything is now getting sent over to the ship. No more names can be added to either groups/lists.
Hopefully we will hear something about the dates/times very soon.

Will update as soon as I hear anything.

Safe trip Lynne - thanks for the recap.

I'm a bit concerned as well. When we initally booked our flight, I never ever thought there would be any questions regarding a hurricane affecting our flight, with the far majority of hurricane's/tropical storms, if they do hit the US...9 times out of 10...usually Florida or the southern coastal areas are affected. Now after Irene...what are the chances of another hurricane impacting the exact area's would have to be one in a million. Our flight is out of Newark, NJ, Wednesday night...so keeping my fingers crossed for everyone can get out with no delays.:headache:

Safe trip Lynne - thanks for the recap.

Please email me the minute you hear about dates and times so I can get it into the Navigator!!

Also.. It would be nice if everyone had a magnet with their Dis name on it on their door. That way we know we are leaving our gifts at the right cabin.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Our FE has our names on it, not our DIS name, but our names, which is also on the FE list. Unfortunately, we have no ability to make magnets in Macedonia. But hopefully we will be at the meet and greet to update our cabin and you can tell by our FE if you have the right room.

Amanda
