*Sept 10th 2011 WB Transatlantic* - From Spain to Space Mountain - Part 6

Annemarie.....if by some chance you have an extra one.....I would love one. I love Pooh! One of my favorite songs if Pooh Corner.....such a sweet song!
If you run out.....no prob! Thanks!:goodvibes

Deb - I was trying to remember: are you the one who is on our flight next Thursday night? I am so confused anymore!

Our flight is out of Newark, NJ, Wednesday night...so keeping my fingers crossed for everyone can get out with no delays.:headache:

So is ours...are you flying BA? If so, what time?

ARE WE THE ONLY ONES WHO DIDN'T GET A CABIN YET???

JUST KIDDING!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I was incredibly busy at work today, as my boss has taken a few days off and it seems everyone wanted a piece of me today, so I could only check our res. during my 10 min. lunch :sad2:
...no cabin then. When Larry called me at 4pm to tell me the news, all I wanted to do was jump back online, but I was literally too crazy busy :headache: to even talk to him. It seemed like forever until I could wrap up and get home (two and a half hours late)! But FINALLY the wait is over and we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Larry, Jess and I are in 8594 (4E) and DM/DN (PinkPug) are in 2632 (9C). We both got what we booked, a verandah and an oceanview. We're basically right on top of each other, but six decks apart....I'm assuming DCL planned it this way. I was hoping DM would be pixie-dusted to a verandah, too, but we've told them they can visit ours (with advanced reservations and a daily usage fee, of course ;)).

Karen
I will put aside a bag for you. We are going there at the weekend so if you would like a genuine Pooh stick collected just let me know :) or any other Pooh fans

I would love a Pooh stick as well. Please let me know what I will owe you and I will pay you on board!

I would love a pooh stick too if you have an extra or space to bring one. I also will pay you for it... thanks ...

:lmao::rotfl2: That made me laugh. You are learning from Disney already.

Question 1: what, exactly, IS a Pooh stick? Is it edible?

Question 2: does anyone remember which artificial sweeteners are on the Magic? I am slightly picky and will bring from home if necessary.

Lanyard List

Please check to see if your name is on the list. If it is incorrect either in name or number, please PM me. If you don't see your name on the list, please PM me as I am cutting this list off as of September 1.

If your information is correct, please DO NOT PM me! I am trying get the Dis Navigator done and only need incorrect or missing information.

This is just for lanyards ONLY, not the lanyard team list.

I know they had blue and yellow, but they weren't always the name brands (generic Equal and Splenda); don't know about pink (S/L). I always keep a baggie of Splenda pkts, my sweetener of choice, in my purse anyway.

WE GOT OUR ASSIGNMENT!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

ROOM 2138! No upgrade, but good to know where we are. The only thing is is that it is a connecting room, and I have heard that you can hear a lot from the other room if you have a connecting. I am not so worried about us, but my kids can be noisy and I don't want to bother anyone else.

:wave2: Howdy, neighbor!!! We are practically across the hall! :)

Shall we designate floor 2 as the fun floor? Hades Underworld haha :worship:

Dawn and Keri - get all this sickness out of your system now so you will be healthy for the cruise!!pixiedust:

Keri, feel better soon. I'M SICK TOO. :headache::headache::headache: I'm cold, shivery, shaky, sore throat, stuffy nose... I don't bleeding have time for this!

I know it's better to get it over with now, but I have clients up the yingyang all this week, including a wedding party to beautify tomorrow night (meaning I can't cancel unless I lose my pulse, otherwise I'll be murdered by a very ticked off bride).

Am just feeling sorry for myself, sorry! Please send get-well vibes... my husband wants me quarantined to the sofa so he doesn't catch it!

Well, if you guys REALLY want to be close to each other, I can trade you my OV room 2138 for your verandah 8594 so you guys can be on the same floor. ;)

What a fabulous offer, but you know how strict DCL is about those restricted VGTs...no changes! :confused3 :lmao: Of course, if you want to use our verandah, the offer stands for you, too (I'll even throw in the family discount...after all, the Dissers are just one big happy family :lovestruc).

I guess that is what I get for traveling in Feb, but I NEED my winter breaks for sanity's sake. It is the only thing that gets me though winter. Did I ever mention how much I HATE !!!!!!!! winter?

We will happily welcome you to Florida if you'd like to experience a place with no winter ;)

Hi all,

I've come down with a cold and have been feeling horrible for several days and haven't been on much. I guess it means that if I'm sick now, I won't be on the trip.

We leave on Sunday....and I've not packed one darned thing nor have I run all the errands I need to run. Hope to do some tonight and then get to bed early again.

Take care all,

Keri

I am fighting a sore throat. Taking lots of Vit. C. Seems to be working so far.:yay::yay:

Get well soon everyone!!!!
You know what you all really need? A vacation! How about a nice 14 day cruise?

Here goes...........

So this is the explanation i wanted to put on the bag but couldnt........
The candy was brought from Pooh Corner, in Hartfield, East Sussex, which is roughly 10 minutes away from where we live. This is the original Pooh Corner store which is situated on the edge of Ashdown Forest, (which was made The Hundred Acre Wood in the stories) where A.A Milne lived and based the original Winne The Pooh stories on. Within the forest is also Pooh Bridge where you can throw pooh sticks, Roos sandy pit and the Heffalump Trap as well as much more. This is the map of the area (We live in small town called Edenbridge, which you will see labelled at top of map) .....

pooh.jpg

Over the years we have taken many of the children we have cared for to these woods and to Pooh Corner and they have loved every minute, so i just wanted to share with you all a little background behind our candy swap gift, because i was dissappointed that i couldnt fit on the bags!

So now when you see the little bag in your FE with the Pooh Corner label, you will know its from hazelandannie :))))

Annemarie

Liesbeth i will save you one and give to you at dinner ;);)

We have a few spares so if anyone would like a little Pooh bag of candy popped in their FE then just let me know your room # :))

Until they run out anyways :lmao:

Annemarie

Annemarie, that is just the coolest thing ever! I will have to visit that place someday. I am also a big Pooh lover and would've signed up for candy swap just for this one thing. If you have any leftovers, my room is 6067.

What is a pooh stick? I have never heard of it but am very interested!

I got a Pooh doll when I was just a baby (around 18 months they tell me) and we have been inseparable ever since. Over the years he's lost his red shirt and also his mouth and most of his eyebrows. ;) I cuddle w/ him every night and take him on vacations with me - its a little strange I suppose, but he's my Winnie!!! :goodvibes
Here are some of his adventures:

Don't remember seeing iPod docks in regular rooms. But if I am wrong, someone will quickly correct me.

Last year when we visited Montserrat in the morning it was chilly and foggy so DH wore long pants. It is a church so I would err or the side of wearing what one would wear in a church setting.

On the dream they have nice alarm clocks with an iPod docking station, they are wonderful.

As I couldn't find Diversions on the Magic and I know that it's designated as the official kick-off location for the Pub Crawl- I did a web search.

It seems that Diversions is on the Wonder, not the Magic. So what is the name of the 'Pub' that is the starting point for the crawl??

HELP!!!

Hi Everyone! We just got our electricity back on (thanks to hurricane Irene)!! I feel so out of the loop. Now we're keeping out fingers crossed that no hurricanes come up the coast next week! Sorry to see so many are sick. Drink lots of tea and sleep, sleep, sleep. Glad to see some are getting your room numbers. We don't have our room yet tho. I've got to figure out where my FE group list is and the candy swap list. Hmmm....so much to do and it's getting so close!!! Yea!!! Hope everyone else on the east coast made it thru Irene o.k..
