hi for people waiting for the cabin numbers the
disney cruise site is now showing the cruise is sold out and cannot be booked, i thought i read on here that they do this when they are sorting out the cabins, so you may hear soon hopefully, susie
There are definitely cabins to book now; I'm assuming they're playing with the assignments, though. Just think how delighted we will be....very soon!
thanks! been missing the dis! yes... tent with restrooms about 100 yds away and cold water only. for showers had to drive back into estes park. inwinter park now with curt back home, waiting on my friend to arrive from south denver. head back west/north on saturday for church mission trip. wx has been great, but warmer than normal. better than back home though. alpine pass on trail ridge drive had a wind chill of 36 when we were there. everyday we camped we had thunderstorms... summer... but more than normal they said. thank goodness for a good rain fly! one night the winds were crazy. we could hear it come down the mountain then visibly shake our tent. girls slept through it but curt and I were wide awake. lots of snow still on mountains due to their snowfall this season being so heavy and late.
curt left with most of our big stuff. 8 days, 3 girls, 2 carryon backpacks. figure this is good practice for packing light for the cruise

no formal wear on this trip.
oh - estes park very busy in,town. winter park much less busy. did some good hikes each dah, but w curt back home now, not going hikikng w the girls by myself. will with othwrs, so laying low this morning. still need to see moose though. keep missimg them. yesterdays hike had several sightings.
Sounds like quite an adventure for the girls (and mom). Hope the weather straightens out and the sun shines

and the moose decide to show themselves!
I'm with you! I grew up going on camping trips with my family, in a tent-camper (my mom refused to sleep on the ground). We stayed in some fairly "primitive" campgrounds (read: no running water; a.k.a. "pit" toilets).
As a result of that trauma, I now consider "roughing it" to be a hotel without room service.
Yep, similar memories, but in a log cabin with limited plumbing. Oh, the joy. You beat me to it...I was going to say my idea of "roughing it" is a hotel without a flat screen and free hot breakfast! Great minds....
I made this one for our last cruise, but we had a very small FE group, and I'm hoping it will still work. The pocket is 7"W x 6"D will it be ok do you think? We never got anything too bulky as a gift, and with the crazy baggage allowance that most people will choose something fairly small .. am I right?
To sound like a broken record....this is SO ADORABLE and "different". Yes, I can say I am bringing something small, just because I'd also like to fit clothing, etc. in my suitcase

.
I have to say no complaints about the weather here. About 80 degrees and a very light breeze.
Me, neither, even though it's 91 and sticky here today. We live in the mountains, so we don't have ac, but I'm so happy I don't have to shovel heat, I'll never complain. DD in TX may have a different opinion, though

. Lake Travis in Austin is a mere puddle these days

.
Well we have finished our FE after tweaking many times.
I have added 2 photos, the first shows what it looked like when we brought it at the car boot sale for 50p!!, the second shows how we have turned it onto something ready for Disney! the third shows close ups of each section.
Hazel handmade the bows, which she was very proud of ! Then she sewed buttons all over, even some made into mickey head shapes.
Wow, that's a transformation. Great job!
Best of thoughts to those with health issues....
Jealous thoughts to those of you going to WDW or cruising before our trip....

....no, seriously, have a
great time.
Pat, neither choice is a bad one, but I'd probably follow my gut and do whichever one I think I would regret less (as opposed to like more, because they're both great). If you think the WDW option is an incredible deal, never to be matched, then do that; if you have a phenomenal price on the Dream, then, there you go. I'm betting you'll barely have time to miss Remy, Palo, or the cabana. Either way, most of us will still be at home, toiling away for those rude bosses who don't understand our need to spend the day on the Disboards.....so just have a blast and enjoy!
