Well it is such a shame that you don't know anybody who works across the street and would be able to wander over get some for you.......

Okay- like, my name seriously seems to be mud right now! I figured you had more than enough to do with the suitcases coming down already...

I mean, you know how we usually pack I can see us running around on the night of the 7th throwing things in suitcases because we 'weren't in the mood' to pack (or think)...

Could you do me the hugest of huge favors??? Can you find out if the WOD sells handheld fans? The battery operated kind but not the kind with the spray bottles (my husband says they are about the size of a cigarette lighter) My medicine makes me sweat like crazy (attractive I know) I have been on a desperate hunt for one and everyone seems to look at me like I am crazy Oh wait....that is normal Anyway if they do I will brave the WOD to buy one but don't want to run into the madhouse to come up empty. If you could let me know I would so greatly appreciate it.

I can get those at the dollar store here. I have the same problem ( only I call it "glistening " not sweating. I will be happy to pick up several for us glistening ladies, so don't order them. I think they take AA batteries, so I will bring those too.

A gal on the PC cruise got the silver pair someone posted - in celebration for having successfully defended her master's thesis. She Earned those puppies!

I couldn't afford anything like those after I defended my thesis. I went out and got drunk, then it was right back to work on comprehensives and dissertation.

Come to think of it, I still can't afford them. They are definitely cute, but not $700 worth of cute! I'll go for the cheap knock-offs and buy lots of FAB's with the savings.

Just think how many glasses you could buy instead of Jimmy Choos. Yikes!

I can only find two kinds of the glasses at the WOD. The red one like the photo with Minnie, and a black one (kinda see-through black) with Mickey. I even checked the stockroom, and those are the only characters available here. I'll check the stores next time I'm at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

I haven't seen the little fans for quite a while, but I'll check around to see if there are any with characters. The ones at Target look pretty good. I'll keep you posted.

I am back home from my holiday in Florida and my visit with Taryn my cast member DD. I was also lucky enough to meet up with Karen ( Rikersmom ) and Lauren, James and Lorelei ( Namsupak ) for a drink and a chat while we were out there.
I am now faced with a ton of washing and photo uploading and of course catching up on the meet thread .... you have started on Part 5 in my absence I see I am sure I have missed absolutely loads of stuff and am way behind so I will do my best to catch up. I will also post about the trip in a few days once the jetlag has diminished. Now how many days until the cruise ????

I mailed DCL about on my conformation suddenly 0,02 euro cent balance due appears. I get a mail today that is was suspended. So I am relieved. Now waiting for the cabin assignement.

Well - I have ordered some material so I can attempt to make my first FE for the candy swap. I am not a very crafty person, but am going to give it a go. Has anyone made their own? Did you follow the instructions on the first page of this thread?

Thank you both. I will keep you posted if I come across them. It never occured to me to try the dollar store. I would call it "glistening" but sometimes it looks like I just got out of the swimming pool and all I did was walk from my front door to the car. Oh well...the joys of living in Florida.

We did have a wonderful time although it was very different to our usual WDW holidays - we usually have very fixed plans but this time it was more of a a "go with the flow" type of approach. Taryn is loving her job in Hollywood Studios but when we first arrived she wasn't eating or drinking properly and with the heat etc she was feeling quite sick. She has realised that she can't do much other than work and rest now, and only go out and about on her days off. She was definitely trying to do too much.

Marilyn - I will definitely be doing just that .... packing a lot off stuff as soon as it is washed. I don't think I will be needing the summer clothing here anyways.

I am with the two of you. No high heels for me. And certain not for that price. I only wear sneakers, sandals and flipflops.

think thats always the temptation when being properly away from home when you're young, i did it when i was younger and at uni and at butlins, and you quickly realise you cant keep it up without killing yourself!
glad she's settling in well though, how long has she been there now and how long has she got left?

Slowly slowly getting my packing list together. Amazing how much stuff on the list that I have to hunt for, although I use the same list every single year.

Also obsessing
- coping with missing my sweetie (spouse)
- will my carryon be under the size and weight limit
- how much can I pack and still be under the weight limit
- Barcelona - strange city - pick pockets - keeping my girls safe, fed & found
- did I pick the right hotel? Maybe I should shop it again.
- surviving the long flight - tsa - jet lag and yada yada yada
- can i please get rid of some more tonnage (on me, not luggage)
