We'd love to pick up a couple of those cups too! Does anyone know if they can be found at WoD? That would be my guess........

Yes, the cups are available at the World of Disney at Downtown Disney. They are probably at other locations also.

I work part-time at the WOD, so please look for Karen if you stop in. Like the cruise, there are about six Karens in the place. My name tag says that I'm from Malvern, PA--I consider that my home town since that's where my sons grew up.

I'll look tonight to see what characters and colors are available.

Karen

I'm booked into a GTY - when they assign my room, will I get notified by email or do I have to keep checking myself on the DCL website?

Hi Karen!

We'll be down over Labor Day weekend (hopefully they won't be too picked over). Do you know if they're just the Fab 5 or are there maybe other characters?

You're the BEST!

If you booked through a TA, they would probably let you know. Or you could to to the website and put your confirmation number in and it would tell you that way also.

5 pairs of Jimmy Choo's???? :scared1:

Lol, you'll have to wrestle Lee for it as he will be carrying the heavy bag BUT remember he is a crime fighting superhero. :lmao:

One pair of Jimmy Choos = more money than I've spent on shoes in the last 2 years

Super Lee to the rescue

You know where else is fabulous for shoes? Nordstrom. Do they have those in the UK? I went to the flagship store in Seattle once and it was like returning to the mothership! Ahhhh, such happy times :goodvibes

IMG_7847.JPG

This will probably date me but ... I remember when that store front used to be Frederick and Nelson

I've never been in Ann Taylor either. :confused3

:lovestruc Ann Taylor. Claire you never posted any pics from your weekend in London ... inquiring minds want to know popcorn::

Saturday was our neighborhood picnic - uneventful as picnics go but . . . one lady had on some fabulous SHOES. She said they came from a home party - WOW - EVERy woman had to try them on - NICE! I am SO having a shoe party!http://www.onesole.com

Wow, what a fantastic idea, they would be great :thumbsup2

I must admit, I'm not a big shoe person....I have more shoes than say, Karen Tan ;) but not a ton. I like the concept of fun shoes...just not the application I guess, LOL!! I'll bring my keens and my running shoes, plus some flip flops and probably one or two pairs of versitle dress shoes. Whenever I try and venture out in the shoe world, I end up in pain :scared1:

I think I must be quite lucky being able to wear heels, I wear them every day in the office.... I'll probably pay for it in later years though

I LOVE Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor LOFT stores! They have outlets in the Orlando area as well, so you may want to check those out next time too.

Hi Liz

It's the outlets stores at the Premium Malls in Orlando that I discovered. Lovely clothes and shoes

I've never seen a Nordstrom before, will need to look out for that one in the future :) :thumbsup2

Lol, that's ok then - 5 pairs is easy done. ;) I hope you manage to grab a pair of JC's in the sale. I've always wanted a pair of Louboutin's but as I can't wear high heels it would be a total waste of money..... Maybe I should have surgery on my tendons just so I can get a pair. :lmao:

I've never been in Ann Taylor either. :confused3

Oh Claire don't get me started, I would love a pair of Louboutin's, that would be my second choice to JCs. I would love a pair of the plain black courts with the red sole :love::love: I googled them last week and Neiman Marcus at the Millenia sells them :lmao:

Don't get surgery honey, I have found the perfect pair just for you :lovestruc bet you like them and they are in the sale too :rotfl2: buy 2 pairs :lmao::lmao:

Their flagship in Seattle is great. They even have like a whole floor of Men's shoes, which is crazy.

Did you hit the flagship Nordstrom Rack farther down 5th Ave towards Pike Place market? It's like 5 floors, again with a whole floor of just shoes.

Unfortunately no :guilty: My husband was over-shopped by the time we made it out of Nordstrom and he had been really a doll about it, so when I suggested Nordstrom Rack I didn't expect a "yes" and I didn't get one either! We were there on a Pacific Coast cruise so there was only one day in Seattle.

Too bad I wasn't there shopping w/ you Chris! ;) It seems like we like lots of the same stores.

Does that plastic cup/lid/straw come with Mickey on it? I would love to have two for the cruise? One each for my sister and I. If it does, can I order it online anywhere? I would gladly pay someone to pick me up two and mail them to me.

Sue

I'll be in DTD next week if Liz lets me know which shop, I can pick up a couple for you?

I'll hold onto them until the WBTA, wouldn't be worthwhile posting them :rotfl:

Karen, were you working yesterday afternoon? I feel terrible that I forgot to look you up when we were there. :worried:

You're the BEST!

Wow, I thought it was the perfect cup for the cruise and now I know it must be. I'm excited that we're all going to be cup buddies!:goodvibes

Yes Karen is right on target and she would know!
The cups are in the World of Disney store in DTD in the Housewares section. The only ones we saw like this were the red Minnie one and then a (I think) black Mickey one, but there could be other characters that we didn't see there. They are $13.95.

A shoe party....now THAT sounds like a good time!

Happy Day, all!
I've bought myself a birthday present -- Rosetta Stone, the spanish edition. I've always wanted to do this, but it was so expensive...now they have an online only version, that was $199 for 3 months...not so bad!! I took 5 years of spanish in high school and 1 in college, but without speaking it, I've lost it. Now hopefully I can brush up some before I get to Barcelona!! :goodvibes

I'd love to know how Rosetta Stone online works out. We bought 2 language programs from Fluenz this past year & really like them - Fluenz French and Fluenz Italian. But the Italian one only goes through a certain level so I need to find another program that will be more advanced.

This will probably date me but ... I remember when that store front used to be Frederick and Nelson

I've never heard of them. Was that a great store too? Did Norstrom buy them? I remember when I was younger it seemed like every department store was getting eaten up by another - Belk, Hechts, etc.

That would be so awesome of you. Thanks so much. I only want Mickey. 2 of them please. I will pay you on the ship also? If you want me to paypal you the money that would be fine too. Everyone here is just so nice. Can't wait to meet you. :worship:

FYI, there is a new Ann Taylor outlet at the Lake Buena Vista outlets--used to be Liz Claiborne. Nordstroms is at the Florida Mall. I think many visitors are as happy to visit the outlets as they are to visit WDW. Oh, maybe not quite so much.

Wow, what a fantastic idea, they would be great :thumbsup2

Speaking of Jimmy Choo's, if I had a spare $700.00, which I obviously do not, I would buy the Jimmy Choo black Ugg's with all the studs on them. I absolutely love, love, love them. I saw a woman wearing them and it crossed my mind to pull them off her feet. Of course, I would never,Ever, EVER do that. Maybe someday. Of course if I ever did have a spare $700.00 they probably will be out of style.:laughing:

Just wondering after reading some of your posts......are you from the North Carolina area? You mentioned Asheville, NC once and this post, you mentioned about Belk and Hechts. We're from outside of Raleigh, NC. :goodvibes

In it's hey day F&N were in the same class as Nordstom. I had to google and see who bought them out and it was Marshall Fields, I guess they were a victim of the recession in the late 80's. The only thing remaining of F&N today is their famous Frango Mint chocolates ... they are soo good.

When I saw this picture I felt kind of sad, and old (we're really not that old) as both those stores are now gone and Weisfields is where we bought our original wedding rings.

Don't worry Karen I'm with you on that one!! My toes cramp at the sight of shoes like that :scared1:

My entire shoe closet consists of Crocs in various colours, pair of Uggs, 2 pairs of sandals, 2 pairs of trainers and some flip flops!!

And most of those will be in my bag for the cruise

I love the shoes but don't wear such high heels any more. However, doesn't mean I don't love the shoes!! I tend to wear Stuart Weitzman now as they fit my feet better.
