Jeremy and I and Cliffy97 (Dan & Bruce) are traveling in a pack it seems like - so if you get J & I you get them as well. Hope you can handle it! :lmao:

Copied from the Easyjet website .... Hand Baggage !!!!

Hand baggage – what goes in and what stays out?

Getting you off on time is hugely important to us at easyJet. Dealing with issues to do with customer's bags can be a cause of delay, so we want to be really clear about the rules in advance of you arriving at the airport.

You can take one piece of hand baggage into the cabin with you; maximum dimensions are 56 x 45 x 25cm. Hand bags, briefcases, laptops and laptop bags are all counted as one piece so if you have a hand bag and a laptop bag for example, you might want to consider putting one inside the other. Remember to plan your hand and hold baggage in advance though; if you bring too many items of hand baggage to the check-in desk, staff there will insist that they be booked into the hold; you’ll be charged £25 per item, as we will have higher handling costs if we register your hold bag only at the airport. If you checked in online and bypassed check-in and you arrive at the boarding gate with too many items of hand baggage, there’s a charge of £40 per item if we need to book them into the hold at this stage. We charge this high fee to avoid delays at the boarding gate and ensure a smooth boarding process.

Remember that you can stow hand baggage not just in the overhead lockers, but also under the seat in front. You can help us get away quicker and accommodate everyone’s hand baggage if you use the under-seat stowage for smaller hand baggage items.

And, even though it’s tempting, please don’t try to sneak two items past our gate crew: they’ll have to put one of them into the aircraft hold and charge you for it. It will delay yours and everyone else’s journey!

Liquids in hand baggage
There are a number of rules to remember about what to put in your hand baggage and what to leave at home. Importantly, the word “liquids” has a wider meaning than you would perhaps think in the first instance. For example: lip balm, lip sticks, hand creams, deodorant, and hair spray are all considered liquids in this context.

The rules:

The liquid is in a container with a maximum volume of 100ml
All containers must comfortably fit into a transparent, re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag, measuring no more than 20 x 20cm
This plastic bag must be removed from the hand baggage and shown separately to airport security

Copied from the Easjet Website ... HOLD BAGGAGE !!

Hold luggage - how much can you take?

Each passenger who pays for a hold bag can take up to 20kg of luggage. This weight allowance applies to the passenger rather than to the bag so purchasing extra bags is possible but will not increase the weight allowance. If you think you’ll need to take a little bit more with you, you can buy some extra weight – it’s best to do this online before you fly as the online charges are considerably cheaper than at the airport.

If you are travelling in a group of two or more you may spread the weight of your luggage across the bags. For example, two passengers with a bag each may carry 20kg of luggage each, but if you wish to put 18kg in one bag and 22kg in the other, then that’s okay with us. You’ve just got to remember that you cannot exceed the 40kg total weight allowance without paying additional charges.

A few really important things to remember:

We support health and safety guidance for checked luggage and recommend that you keep the weight of each individual bag below 23kg wherever possible.
Legally we must apply a maximum limit of 32kg so any individual bag weighing more than 32kg cannot be accepted!
Infants who share your seat do not have a baggage allowance so all their stuff will have to go into your bag!
To keep our fares low, be able to board the plane as quickly as possible and ensure your comfort onboard, if you bring more than one piece of hand baggage we’ll check the extra into the hold. We’ll need to charge you for this – at check-in this fee is £25 due to higher handling costs at the airport if you don't buy the bag online and at the boarding gate this increases to £40 to ensure that we can bring you to your destination on time.

So looking forward to getting to know everyone!!! :grouphug:
Anyone a big fan of Rockin Bar D? Our tablemates and DH and I went there almost every night after dinner and had a blast! 80's night, country line dancing, tons of shows - comedy, magician, game shows. Different theme each night. So much fun! :dance3:

Off topic, is there a swap meet on Disboards? I have so many Disney things to offload - we were a big matching shirts family when kids were younger, and I have lots of stuff that I have outgrown (well it has outgrown me thanks to Weight Watchers! :cool1:). I did find a cute pair of PJ's that would be acceptable to wear for the breakfast - Disney themed of course! I rarely wore them because they were snug - now they are super big, but that's OK for jammies, right? :)

By the way, I remember someone mentioning earlier about whether or not a shuttle group exists from Orlando to the airport. If so, I would like to join in on that group. Anyone know? :confused3

Are you staying on disney property? If so, you can just take the Magical Express to/from the airport for free. When you use one of the 40% off codes and calculate the cost of a taxi or van to the airport + the cost of a hotel, it can be less expensive to stay onsite.

But if you prefer to stay closer to the airport, there are also hotels that offer free shuttle service (I know La Quinta is one of those.)

Can anyone give me some info on driving from WDW to Miami please?

The obvious route is to take the turnpike but what about the coastal route? Does it take much longer? Can you see much along the way? Any other information/tips you can give me?

Thanks :)

We have driven from wdw to Miami a few times. We find the quickest way is to take the Beeline Expressway (528, it is a tollroad but very light traffic is worth it) to 95. If you want to take the scenic route, I would do 528 to 95 then all the way down to Jupiter area and then take an exit to A1A and drive the coastal way (A1A) down to Miami from there - this route will take about 4-5 hours, you can cut the time by leaving 95 later (like at Boca Raton or Palm Beach instead of Jupiter.)

Also there is a part on 95 around Port St. Lucie where there aren't really any food/beverage stops, so make sure you either eat before that point or plan to eat a while after.

I read someplace that any alcohol purchased in St Maarten, and some other caribbean islands is not allowed to be opened until you leave the ship. If purchased in Madeira, Barcelona, Gibraltar is allowed for onboard consumption. If anyone can verify...

This could be a new rule, but the last time we cruised there (2008, I think) there were no restrictions. One year we bought some local flavored rums to take back (cute hand painted bottles) and sampled a couple on board. Nothing has ever been confiscated & held in our experience, but things do change, so maybe a more recent cruiser has more info...

Is anyone from the UK flying Easyjet? Or am I better off getting a British Airways or other airlines flight if I do a 1 or 2 nt layover in London? I figure my one bag will be under 20 kg, and I'll keep my carry on to 12 kg. Easyjet prices are terrific but I don't know what their other hidden costs might be.
Can anyone enlighten me please? :)
Hi
We're flying Easyjet and have bought extra baggage with them, we have 23kg each. I would just be so cheesed off if I got to the airport and they charged me excess baggage before we left.
There is no weight limit on the hand luggage as long as you can lift it into the overhead locker without assistance. As long as your hand luggage is within these dimensions :maximum 56 x 45 x 25cm, including wheels, pockets and handles you should be ok.
All info can be found on the website.

Yes! 10:45 pm at Rockin' Bar D. This is one of my favorite things about DIS-ing. No kids, everyone is relaxed, fed and happy. Bring on the comedians, jugglers, hypnotists, whomever. Gather together in one (or several) of the semi-circular booth tables and share the fun with others.

Just a quick question regarding ATM's

Are there any ATM's in St Maarten & Tortola where you can withdraw $$'s cash near to where the ship will be docked?

According to http://www.bvitourism.com/atms-banking, BVI uses the US $ as its legal tender. These banks have ATMS in the downtown very near the pier:

Banco Popular Main Branch, Wickham’s Cay I
First Caribbean Main Branch, Wickham’s Cay I
Scotiabank Main Branch, Wickham’s Cay I

I can't wait to have two weeks of fun and laughter! I'm glad to see there are a lot of fun people on our cruise! Erik and I love to have fun too... but we are Scandinavians from Minnesota so we are kind of stoic about it all! :)

I know what you mean about having two teens at home... they are high maintenance! I will miss those little boogers when we're on the cruise though. :(

I was looking at the Navigators from last year and noticed there are a lot of amazing things going on at Rockin' Bar D. I think Erik and I will be there every night!! What a good way to finish out an evening.

Raises hand high in the air, we love Rockin Bar D:dance3: We had a good laugh at Match Your Mate ... people say the darndest things  While we don't sing ourselves we love to watch others do Karaoke, especially late, late at night when they've had a lot to drink :lmao:

Lynne, I was looking at your future cruises and didn't see dates for the Hawaiian cruise ... did you drop out?
