...I was in DLP early December with a friend, we went for a girlie getaway. I usually use a Canon DLSR but those photo's were taken with my little point & shoot, Panasonic Lumix TZ10 camera.

Those Lumix cameras are very popular and make great photos (I use the Panasonic DMC-ZS3 version). If you bring it on the cruise, keep an eye out - others might think it is theirs and accidentally pick it up - goofprincess kept doing that to mine. :goodvibes

That was just plain evil. I got all excited then!

I read this post first, went back a page to catch up and still fell for it.

Of course, the build-up is part of the fun. Once you know your cabin, you know that's all the Pixie Dust you'll probably get - and it won't be that upgrade from steerage to the Roy Suite of which you've dreamed. Then it's back to the reality of daily living (and cruise preparation)... until we land in Barcelona and excitement builds again.

This is really the biggest roller coaster that Disney offers.

Hi guys. Just called DCL, cancelled it..... Its too clear Im not even close to making it.

For the candy swap; both smootenloopers and just love eeyore have offered to step in. Thanks for that!. Think Its easiest if two of you decide who. As list with details like preference is on computer at home, I cant give it until Im home. However mainlist is on page 1 with the real important info.

For all; Enjoy this one a bit for me also. :)

So sorry to hear you can't make the cruise this time Jacqueline - Hope you recover soon and wish you well.

Michael

I hope I'm not too late to join the fun. I'm going to take a while to find all the good hints, tips, events etc already posted.

We're from the North of England, my name's Graeme and my wife is Margaret, returning to the Magic after a great Mediterranean experience September 2010.

Hi and welcome aboard .. we are Sarah and Tony from Wales and this will be our 2nd WBTA :thumbsup2

Started my day this morning listening to the Spectromagic music on Subsonic Radio - does anyone else listen to Subsonic? I love listening to all of the Disney tunes!

Anyhow, with that cheery song in my head, I'm not so bothered that we don't have a stateroom # yet......."On this magic niiiiiight a symphony in Spectromagic, pure enchantment lights our waaaaaay" :music:

I have all the Disney paarde songs and fireworks music on the Ipod .... my favourite is Reflections of Earth ... I never get tired of listening to it.

But aren't you always told to not eat the yellow snow??:confused3:lmao:

Definitely :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So sorry you have decided to cancel the cruise :hug::hug: Will really miss meeting you and hope that you go on to make a full recovery and return to health, and cruising again sometime soon

Claire .... those photos of Disneyland Paris in the snow are beautiful :thumbsup2

It's the 30th anniversary tomorrow of the death of Stevie's beloved Grandad, who was taken from us far too young. So we are going to have the Rosa Regale tomorrow and have a toast to him. Grandad loved WDW and came here when it first opened :lovestruc I think that's where Stevie first got his love of WDW when his grandparents brought him back parkmaps to look at and souveniers

That is really sweet Mary. I'm sure his grandad would be just tickled pink at the idea. I hope you enjoy your Regale :goodvibes

Me too! shame, shame!

LOL, I think I might need the chicken exit for this roller coaster!

Listening to the music is sometimes as close as we get to being there so it helps! Subsonic is streaming radio & you can request your fav Disney songs through the day. http://www.subsonicradio.com
I like it a lot.

/QUOTE]

Speaking of cameras, I have a question that some of the US cruisers might be able to help me out on. I am thinking of buying a DSLR in Florida -I have a Canon rebel and will probably upgrade to a T3i .

So far I have been thinking of best buys, who seem to have good package deals but I am wondering is there somewhere better on the I drive strip??? without going in to the dubious smaller shops where you'd have to on guard.

Thanks if you can advise

Will the 2 pieces fit one inside the other and then in the closet?

Isn't that funny that the thread is today about the same topic? Also how coincidental that I absolutely love the Disney HEYS! but cannot get my hands on it here in Canada at a reasonable price.:headache:

I was looking all over for Disney HEYS luggage but couldn't find it.:guilty:
Then I saw HEYS set in a nice blue color at Costco. It was 99.00 for the 2 pieces (it was important that the wheels were spinner wheels). HEYS offers both types of wheels. We took the set on the EBTA and then spent 8 days in Paris. I LOVE this luggage---absolutely love it. Now I see new colors at Costco but are asking 130.00 for the set. I never did see the Disney HEYS but did see it last week online. I love it!!! HEYS has a good reputation for quality. The only trouble is that the luggage takes up space in the room. I fit the carry-on sized luggage under the bed, and the full-sized in the closet.

The 26" and 20" (carryon)HEYS came in one set. The 20" fits into the 26" but the trouble is that the 26" does not fit under the bed since it is hard bodied all around. I lifted the bed, but it didn't work. The 26" were only able to go into the closets.:sad2:

Oh I'm so sorry you won't be able to go!!! I hope you feel better soon and can start planning another cruise.

Okay, thanks...maybe I won't get the bigger one then, don't want it to take up all my closet space...

Same here. We've got 2-3 blocks to go, but I'll have 3-4 bags. Maybe I should just wear a big sign that says, "Hi, rob me!" :rotfl:
:lmao:(or it would be funny if it wasn't so true!)

I have the Pacsafe slingsafe 100 model in black and I love it. Just the one I was looking at...thanks for the info.

If there are more than 2 of you traveling together, it may be about the same or just a bit more to take a taxi and have peace of mind.
There are five of us, so the Aerobus is the less expensive alternative, and our hotel is just off Pl. Ca. on La Rambla. I'm not really worried about it. I'm more interested in how to get from the hotel to the port for less than the cost of a small house! :confused3 Taxi prices are crazy for such a short distance, but I think we'll have to bite the bullet this time.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Jacqueline. I think you would have been a great cruise-mate, but there will always be another cruise. I'm sure you'll enjoy the next one even more because you'll be feeling so much better :thumbsup2.

I got my room assignment:cool1:

WAIT... what deck is GTY?:confused3

:lmao::rotfl: Just practicing for when Disney decides to put us out of our misery.:rolleyes1

That is just cruelty to Dissers! No FAB for you! :rotfl2:

Back home yesterday from 8 nights at Ft Wilderness with wife and 3 grand kids (14, 12, and 8)...did all 4 parks and Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach with two goof off days. It only rained one day and didn't really interfere but it was hot everyday. Getting ready to get ready to go East now to Barcelona. We are military hopping over so no idea where we'll come in at. Most typical entries are England, Germany, or Cadiz, Spain (Rota NAS).

Yes, my 20" + 26" set from Sam's (in pink) store together.

I either stand my 26" on end next to the safe/shelves or I laid it flat on the floor on the left - I had plenty of room for hanging full-length dresses.

I did move the ladder for the upper berth. It is usually stored hanging in the closet - I moved it to the upper shelf, under the life jackets. This gave me more hanging space/accommodation for the luggage.

You are never going to let me forget that :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It makes such a good story, you are just a cautionary tale. :)

And hey, it got you to post on the boards.

You might do better with a pre-arranged mini-van. The taxis in Barcelona are small 4-seaters - your five will need more than one - YMWTV. You could check out the list on page one and see if anyone is staying at a hotel near yours. I think the gang from the Renaissance is paying 10 euros pp. Your hotel may even be closer to the port.

Wow! Disneyland Paris with a light sprinkling of powdered sugar - beautiful.

made me think of Harry Potter movies when it snows for some reason.

I hope I'm not too late to join the fun. We're from the North of England, my name's Graeme and my wife is Margaret, returning to the Magic after a great Mediterranean experience September 2010.
Welcome! I am Mic, travelling with my daughter Sarah (13) and hopefully my other daughter Talena (24)
