Love your Mask Sarah :)

Jeez Sarah what were you driving to charge you $172!!! that is ridiculous.

I made my own, but I just sort of eye-balled it. I think I'm a fair seamstress, so if you have questions, I'll help you out if I can.

I made mine by the "official" directions I found on here in 2008, although I made my pockets taller so gifts were less likely to fall out. The dimension for width is what needs to be followed so it doesn't stick out into the hall.

...But the good news is that I have taken up Evelyn's offer (fly4free2) to be her roomie and will be joining ya'll!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3: ...

Congratulations for you both! and Welcome to our gang.

Kevin & I are looking to rent a car at Port Canaveral and drop it at WDW. If anyone can recommend one rental company over another, I'd be happy to hear it.

I use Hertz because I have loyalty status, but I hear a lot about Budget on this forum. Seems like Budget has good special rates - google for their discount codes. The shuttle at the ship is very easy - each company has one and they come around routinely, no need to call - just go to the curb, where they have corrals set up and hop onboard.

...I'm sure Disney will have transfers from port to the airport and probably also to WDW. Have you checked with them?

The port to airport will be $35 pp. Disney's Magical Express to WDW resorts is free for those staying on property.

We could do bluewater - never need too much persuasion to be in the same vicinity as Krispy Kreme!

Or a disney store!

Been working at bluewater for two and a half months now and haven't been to krispy kreme once! Now that's self control!

Rental companies will charge about $8 / gallon if you don't bring it back full -- looks like she was driving an SUV with a large, empty tank.

DME is only free for transfers from the airport to hotels. From port canaveral to the hotels is still charged at $35 per person per way as far as I'm aware

How far is BlueWater from London as in the West End Area ... is it on a train route?

And well done on the self control ... didn't work for me with the maple glazed Dunkin Donuts in Florida just now. In fact it didn't work for me with much at all :confused3:confused3 The good intentions were there, but the self control was nowhere to be seen :rolleyes1

Actually I think it's less to do with self control as it is lack of money to waste on donuts!

Not sure on trains to bluewater. The closest station is greenhithe so try googling it. From London to lakeside (other side of the bridge) is about half hour on the train so guessing bluewater will be about the same?

OK, I've looked on the DCL FAQ's but can't seem to locate any DCL navigators from last year's westbound TA. Are they posted somewhere? I want to see what kinds of things are going on! They had alot of fun things at Rockin Bar D during the 10 night Med - a 70's disco, 80's night, line dancing night. I worked off all my desserts in there and wound up not gaining any weight on the cruise! :thumbsup2

Also my DD 15 thinks I have a serious addiction problem to the disboards. I told her I'm going into treatment on Sept 10th! :rotfl2::dance3:

Also, is anyone planning any Palo's group brunches in the private room at Palo's? With 8 or 9 sea days, there should be loads of openings! :cool1: I would love to join in on a Palo group brunch if anyone is coordinating. Their brunch is my favorite meal on the entire ship! :cloud9:

Not at all .... I was driving the cheapest lowest smallest option ... a chevrolet Aveo ... very nice to drive actually, I had only used just over half a tank but they charged me for the full tank. I may send Budget an email to query it as it does seem unreasonable. At the time I just needed to get on with things so I didn't give it much thought.

and no self control whatsoever when it came to this:

That is what I was saying but forget to add that DME was from the airport (thought it in my head but my fingers didn't type the words). I was also trying to communicate that it would entail two separate bus rides - one to the airport and then one to WDW. We don't always communicate what we are thinking.

Doesn't matter what you were driving, though, does it, when it was $172! That's more than the cost of most rentals (before taxes ;) ).

Maybe this will cheer you up:

He's watching the sea, keeping an eye out for your return across the Atlantic.

There are two full groups for Group Brunch. We've got one person waiting to join/form a new group. Perhaps another 10 and you can submit a request.

Oh, thank you! :worship: I was getting a bit of a headache trying to read the other ones sideways!

And thanks auntelynne for the recap of each day! Looks like I need to work on a mask! DD and I went to a mask store somewhere in the Med - may have been Barcelona. I'll have to ask her. This Med trip was a fun shopping trip for us (plus some excursions too!) We had one entire suitcase at 50 lb full of souveniers as we did alot of shopping this time! We supported the European economy. :)

It is Josh, giraffe104 that is going to be in London for a day or two before the cruise. :thumbsup2

Great memory Claire! I couldn't remember if it was Josh or Blake. :rolleyes1

Bags are packed again, alarm is set for 3.30 am  , having own nurse there has been taken care off. All set to go. Have to say, I'll be beyond glad to get this over with. :headache:

Jacqueline, I hope everything goes MUCH better this time. We will be thinking of you!!!! :grouphug:

Got a call from DCL asking if we would be willing to swap room so I asked for our old room back. Evidently a family wanted a side-by-side room so for a bit more we got our original room back.

That is unusual. Did DCL offer you any perk for being so kind as to switch? It was really nice of you. :flower3:

interested in this too, still not worked out how to get from port to animal kingdom lodge:rolleyes:

You can take Disney transfers direct from the cruise ship to your resort. We are doing this. I believe it is $35 per person, but IMO it is worth it b/c we will be able to have our luggage and everything just move in a smooth transition - no stress.

I love the mask by the way!!

You definitely need to visit London then .... our economy is in dire need of some supporting :rotfl2::rotfl2:
