(Snickering) - I just told Steve about this and he said he'll be at the pub, waiting for Brian :woohoo: Somehow the menfolk aren't as jazzed about this Tea as the ladies are!

Here's my wee Prince and Princess - they will be hosting Goofprincess, Hazel and Liesbeth :dance3: (this picture is almost a year old; Eilidh is much taller and has a ton of curly hair. Calum hasn't changed much, except for some adult teeth coming in :) )

BEAUTIFUL BEINGS! I love the kilt!

So just to double check but not that I'm getting my hopes up just yet, but is it looking as though they are going to add an extra boat??

Crossing fingers and toes!!!

Just needing to double-check:

Is there anyone signed up for our Jost VanDyke excursion (confirmed and standby lists) that is going to CANCEL going??

We are firming up standby lists, and as of right now it looks like I will be able to clear everyone but one person on our standby list... so I need to see if there are ANY cancellations that have not notified me. (that is not firm yet on clearing standbys... awaiting final notification) I need to know ASAP if you are planning to cancel. Yes, this is the morning after Pirate Night, reporting to the dock bright and early! Any no-shows will be walking the plank when we find you!

We can NOT take any more standbys... trying to clear what we have. Just need to make sure nobody else has had a change of plans.

They are lovely. I be honored to escort them to the tea.

All this talk of laundry supplies reminds me.

Last year I received a packet of laundry detergent in my FE, what a cute idea, and it certainly came in handy.

This year I'm going to bring along a couple of laundry tablets for my washing.

It really is no trouble to throw your stuff in and then come back after a little while and swapped it into the dryer.

Though I did notice this one woman ironing a HUGE pile of clothes, she must have been at it for a couple of hours. She told me it meant that

"once she got home she could sit down and relax knowing it was all done"

But surely the whole point of going on vacation is to get away from piles of ironing and chores!!!!

LOL takes all sorts i suppose.

My husband met a woman in the laundry room once. . . folding a mountain of clothes VERY slowly. He reported that she said doing laundry was so PEACEFUL - her husband had the kids!:rotfl2:

So I finally got started on my FE gifts last night.

Printed some stuff on my computer, which I took the photocopy store today to get coppied....

When I got home tonight I settled down surrounded by my crafting tools to start assembling....

Only to discover that half of the stuff I got coppied was missing from the bag:mad:

Obviously the folks at the store didn't put it in there. GRRRRR

So now I've got to go back to the store tomorrow. And I was feeling so creative tonight too!

yes I can just imagine these laundry women getting home with their cases of clean, ironed, and folded clothes. Ready to put there feet up and relax...

Only to realise they no longer have Disney taking care of their kids, and they wasted the time on the cruise (when there kids were off enjoying the activities) washing and folding clothes in a windowless sweatshop.:rotfl:

i have now rented 2 :wizard: "fairy godmothers" :wizard:to escort my princesses to the tea party, i may have one more fairy godmother to look for if my dh doesnt want to go which im sure he wont

What is this fairy godmother and princess thing? I admit I'm behind about 10 or so pages and skipped right to the last messages. Sounds cute but don't know much about it. princess:princess:princess:

The children are invited to a prince and princess tea, they are allowed to be escorted by 2 adults each. The adults can not go with out a prince or princess... so.... Some of us "Fairy God Mothers" are asking to "rent" escort a child to the tea.

We started this on the EBTA.. I think it may just catch on! I brought a small gift for my little Princess last time and will again this time. I think it would be a good thing for us Fairy God Mothers to bring a little surprise for our little Prince or Princess..... pixiedust:
I know it was awesome to see the smile on my Princess's face when I brought her a little gift.
What ya think Fairy God Mothers?

Though I did notice this one woman ironing a HUGE pile of clothes, she must have been at it for a couple of hours. She told me it meant that

"once she got home she could sit down and relax knowing it was all done"

I wonder how she was planning to get it all home? Surely even the most careful packing will result in some wrinkles....

Crossing fingers and toes!!!

Yes... we are cross-checking numbers, but the number I was tentatively given gets all cleared but one... so it would really bite if someone no-showed and that last one on the standby list COULD have been on there. I sent another email to ask for one more. We hope to know for sure in the next day or two so we can give the final "A-OK!". Fingers and toes are crossed here!! Need the final "yes" from the charter company, but it is looking good. We are so close to capacity because I had emailed him the number before the last few were added.

Fairy Godmothers - my offer still stands... but I do have 2 boys, which I know isn't as neat as having princesses to dress up. I'm not sure I will even dress them up - my 7 year old may not want to and I'm not sure I can find an outfit for the 3 year old in 20 days - which is how long it is until we leave :banana::banana:

This sounds great! One more cool thing DCL does for kids!!!

I think both my kids will like it, even the 7 year old (although he may act like he doesn't). I just hope we don't get an invite for the day we are doing brunch, or a mixology tasting. So if all goes well, I will be bringing 2 kids with only 2 adults, so a couple of you can tag along if you want.

Went and played bingo last night with former coworker. Getting ready for B11 B B11:cool1::cool1:...

Thirteen (13) days until we leave. First flying down to Disneyland for two days. Our pass expires on the 5th so gotta get more use, right? I will get to go on the new Ariel ride---my favorite princess. I only wish she were on the ship but alas she is on the Wonder. ...

How neat - bookending the cruise with Disney Parks.

You've got Scottish, English, and Dutch speakers in your Princess Tea group - what a nice international adventure.

..

She does look like a princess.

...Oh no ... we fly into Newark to catch our flight to Barcelona and have a four hour layover there ...

On a positive note; you will have a little more time to prepare for the cruise ... so put on your favorite movie and sit & crochet FE gifts to your hearts content :goodvibes...

I think it's the part of NJ around the airport, not the airport itself (I hope).

...or Pat can enjoy her doggies a little more before heading out.

:cool1: heres your princess pat, not got pic in a princess dress yet but got one on order ready for tea

She is always wearing something on her head - are you trying to cover up little devil horns? Is that why you are willing to share? :)

See you all in a couple of weeks!

Are you a lurker online, just waiting to see us in person to decide if we're okay? You know we are a bit crazy, though. See you onboard - don't forget to come and meet us at the Promenade Lounge at 3:00 on boarding day.

Maybe you need to take some of the Fairy Godfathers with your boys - Josh (giraffe104) was hoping to attend. I don't think it's the actual kids that matter so much, as being in a room of children (and adults) who are excited to see the princesses (and some are just really big fans of the princesses).

You could find yourself surrounded by 5 guys.

My boys would love that - since their father isn't going on the cruise I'm sure they would be glad to have a guy around for a change, especially my 7 year old. In fact, my husband just got home after traveling for the last 2 weeks and they are all upstairs (so nice and quiet down here) having some guy time!

:sad2: Some people just have messed up priorities. :sad2:

Oh, I'm going to be going through doggy withdrawls!! :worried:

She is always wearing something on her head - are you trying to cover up little devil horns? Is that why you are willing to share? :)

Oh, I hope so! We'll get along famously! We'll be the bad princess and FGM starting the food fight. :joker: bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!

If "good things come to those who wait," does that mean good cabin assignments for all of us waiting (not necessarily patiently)? I only check my reservation once a day now; I am expecting it to be the week of the cruise while I'm in Europe and have limited internet access (and don't have a lovely large keyboard)

Oh man... I sure hope so! Maybe they're trying to put us all right next to each other so we don't have to walk so far to go visiting! lol

It's not very common anymore. :sad2:

I couldn't agree more about common courtesy, it's like common sense. :headache::headache:

Went and played bingo last night with former coworker. Getting ready for B11 B B11:cool1::cool1:

Suitcase is open and magnets are in. Using old ones and shed a little tear not packing FE due to space limitations. Oh well next cruise.

This is getting so so real!!!:cool1::cool1::banana::banana:

I can't wait either... with each passing day it is getting more and more real. I'm sad you won't have your FE. Could I pack like a paper gift bag or something for you so you can have something to hang on your fish to get your goodies in?

So I finally got started on my FE gifts last night.

That's very annoying! I can't believe you are just beginning your FE gifts. That would kind of stress me out. However, I only truly started mine this week I have been planning for many weeks so it is all coming together quickly.

Speaking of FE gifts, do you all get that sinking feeling like what you're giving isn't going to be good enough and no one will like it? As I'm making my things, I get this pit in my stomach that no one will like them. DH thinks I'm crazy... once again, he's probably right. (BTW: I'm by no means fishing for complements. Just wondering if any of you are tormenting yourself like I am.)

I would be honored to rent one of your sweet boys, if the spot isn't already taken! I have two boys at home. They are now 15 and 10. I miss them being little.
