I spent a while looking over last year's Navigators. Does anyone remember what the menu was like for Villians' Night? Just curious...and imagining some very interesting entrees...

I'm trying to figure out where I can fit in a nap with all that is listed in the Navigators!

Question - re PJ Breakfast:

I know I assumed coordinating it from someone who cancelled, but in looking at these Navigators, am I seeing that most morning Lumiere's was only open for breakfast from 8:00-9:30? And it looks like we have 10:00 down for breakfast?? Should we change this to 9:00 to be on the safe side in case our day it does indeed close at 9:30? We can just roll out of bed in our PJs, right? ;)

Palo group 4 brunch only needs 1, 2 or 3 more people to make a reservation. Last call for an amazing brunch wish some unique and fantastic people?? Help push group four over its 12 person minimum. You won't be disappointed!
PM me or tell me here if you'd like to be the last few to join!

Got home this evening after a loooong day to find our Disney Documents in the mail!!!  Woooohooooo!!!!  Doing the Document Dance! :)

Still don't have a room assigned - luggage tags show GTY....So we are assuming that they are saving the Roy Suite for us! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl:

She is ok and enjoying it lots but she is always tired .... she works long hours and only has one day off a week. She hasn't been into the parks at all since we left .... on her day off she does laundry and food shopping. I don't think she expected such long hours but she is taking it her stride ... good thing she has been to WDW so many times before, so she isn't missing out. I think Bethan must work shorter hours or be more organised with her home life, as she seems to fit in a lot of socialising. She loves the job though. I think it may well put her off doing the year long programme.

Are you saying she works more than 40 hours a week?? I'm shocked she is expected to work without 2 days off, maybe she should talk with her manager. That makes me sad to think it may put her off the year long programme, I know several people who have done the internship and they loved it so much they went back for years afterwards to keep their CM status.

When I did the College Progam, sort of the US version of what Taryn is doing, I had a roommate that stole from me and broke my computer, I worked pretty crazy hours and didn't exactly get paid a whole lot - it was one of the BEST experiences of my life. I loved almost every minute of it. Unfortuneately the crazy hours is all part of the program. I would have gone back for more, but I couldn't work it out with my school schedule and still graduate on time.

I'm thinking of getting one of these books for our trip, as I always seem to collect bits & bobs of stuff ... & pretty much anything that has Mickey on it

Oh... that looks like it could be for the scrapbooking challenged (me).

Now for a few moments of delight. I have...
-finished my FE gifts
-bought almost everything I need for the cruise, new clothes included
-lost a total of 40 pounds!

I'm leaving work and hoping that I have a happy envelope to open waiting for me at home!

Hi All

Just home this morning from a great trip to WDW and our first cruise on the Dream, which was a 5 day double dipper at CC.

So glad to be home to this lovely cold weather in Scotland when we've had weather at nearly 100 during most of the trip.

The Dream is absolutely gorgeous in real life and is a beautiful ship. We didn't really get our last day on CC as tropical storm Emily arrived upon us. It rained all day, but we got off for an hour anyway. It was such a shame wasting all the food at cookies, but we were all onboard and sailing away by 2 pm. It was wild, I have never been that close to a bad storm at sea before, but it gave us a chance to explore the ship instead.

Welcome back Mary ... do you have some Dream 'eye candy' to share with us? Sorry about your 2nd CC day. We also did a 5night double dip a few years back and missed CC as we were being chased by Hurricane Hannah, it's a bit disappointing but at least you had a lovely new ship to explore.

:rotfl:You really don't know how the college program works do you?? As a former CP having worked three different college programs I can tell you that they will work you until you drop!!! The CPs are considered the lowest of the low at Disney and really have no recompense for long hours. They will get stuck with the worst shifts and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it really. She can try talking to her boss but I would assume they would just say that it's the busy season and you have to work it. I know that my DH sees this at his work all the time. Luckily he has 15 years with the company so he gets the best shifts. But one of our friends (who isn't even a CP) is scheduled on average 60+ hours a week. The one upside to all of those hours is that usually they have good pay rewards for it. I have worked summer retail at the MK and I can tell you it will drain you pretty quick.

I'm one of the lucky ones! We gat our docs Sat, but still don't have room #s. Yes they do have GTY in place of the room #. Hopefully we won't need a sharpie at the pier - I can't imagine waiting another MONTH to find out where we can rest our heads. Jean

Received our docs earlier this afternoon! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I was trying to figure out what goes on during the day with Disney, or where most events are held onboard. We try to avoid the sun (or at least watch pool games from the deck), but recalled on our prior cruises having those types of venues for various activities.

We got our docs today too. My husband made me get up from my computer so we could dance around the documents

There is plenty to do on the ship during the day that doesn't involve the sun. We had chilly weather for the EBTA last year and so we did a lot of the daytime activities - we were never bored.

Guess what just showed up?

Jeremy: "Why does it only have your name on it? I want one with MY name on it." :rotfl2:

I said "maybe you should make the arrangements next time, then."

*crickets*

LOL, ours had Joe's name on it, but I opened it anyways!!!

Congrats!!! That is so awesome. I've been wanting to try a spinning class at the gym but haven't been able to work it in. I can't wait to try the one on the ship. Maybe I'll see you there. :goodvibes

I'll be there!!! I love doing the fitness classes onboard. It helps me stick to some kind of exercise schedule on vacation.

Wow. :surfweb: Finally caught up on all the pages. I take a weekend sort of off and you all go crazy with the pages.:) We got our docs on Saturday. Was so excited to see it when we got home. Even if this is our third cruise. :goodvibes

Congrats to all of you that had good shopping weekends. I had a good shopping weekend too with one of our friends coming on the cruise with us. Our husbands have not learned to not let us go shopping together. Seperately we are not so bad but together things just keep jumping in our cart. :confused3 Found some cute heels to go with my dress for the formal nights. I can so sympathize with whoever said they were a size 5. I do the same and find it so hard to find shoes. Also bought our waterproof cameras for snorkeling and a few other things. I still have a few things on my list to buy but I think I am safe in starting to pack this weekend without my DH looking at me like I have lost my mind!!!:lmao:

Yes all of hard work by those who are organising and co-ordinating events is greatly appreciated .... thank you :worship::worship::worship: .

Just wanted to echo Sarah's comment :worship: And thanks too to Lynne for the weekly recaps :thumbsup2

Ooooh that's not fair watching my ship sailing away without me when I wanted to stay onboard :lmao::lmao:

Welcome back, Mary! Hope you had a wonderful time :)

He thinks like me what is mine is mine and what's John's is mine as well!

LMAO-1.gif
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

And you thought you were going on the cruise for a relaxing vacation ! :lmao:

-lost a total of 40 pounds!

!

Well done! :banana::banana:

No cruise docs here :sad2: But on a happy note, we'll be in Barcelona one month from today :cheer2:

What night is pirate night again? I thought it was the night we are in St. Maarten. It isn't the night BEFORE we arrive at St. Maarten is it?:scared1: That is the only night I could get a Palo reservation and now I'm wondering if that is why...

That's ok with us - well that's why it's called a PJ breakfast isn't it Mandy:goodvibes

.So we are assuming that they are saving the Roy Suite for us! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Peggy, if you do, can we eat dinner at your table in the suite once ;)popcorn::

Welcome home Mary - sounds scary being so close to a storm. Glad you had a good time.
