I would think that if cabins aren't assigned, they'll just send blank ones. But I guess we'll have to wait for the people w/o room #'s to let us know if they get docs this week or not.

Yes you would think so, then the GTY'ers can just write their room number in. The ones getting documents but no room number never mentioned about their tags. It is the room number on the tag that matters really but the baggage guys can do that if necessary.

I'm one of the lucky ones! We gat our docs Sat, but still don't have room #s. Yes they do have GTY in place of the room #. Hopefully we won't need a sharpie at the pier - I can't imagine waiting another MONTH to find out where we can rest our heads. Jean

The tags say "GTY" where the cabin # would be.

Shark dive? You are nuts! LOL

Guess so...LOL I have hunted sharks for years.. they don't usually stay around when you are trying to photograph them... at least these are used to divers. It's gonna be a blast.....
Come on Mic.... Join us!... or if you want you can just see my video when I get back to the ship.... if a shark does not eat my video camera...LOL

I am going to remind him that it is a federal offense to open mail not addressed to him. We'll see if that works. :)

Brilliant idea.. Let us know how that works for you... just sayin...lol

Hi Jill,

I am getting so excited for this trip. Can you let me know if it has been decided if it will be one or two dives in Tortola? Also, would you recommend we bring our 3mils or would t-shirts and swimsuits be enough?

Thanks,
Hi.. I have been traveling and have not had a chance to send out the emails yet. Hopefully tomorrow if I get home tonight.
We will be doing a 2 tank in Tortola .. I will need all your info of what gear you might need. I think it will be warm enough for no wet suit but it is always advisable to wear a light one. It helps protect you from unseen things in the water.... I am sure many divers will go in T-shirts and swimsuits.... Remember if you do not want to bring your own, The shop will supply them at n/c.

Hi All

Just home this morning from a great trip to WDW and our first cruise on the Dream, which was a 5 day double dipper at CC.

So glad to be home to this lovely cold weather in Scotland when we've had weather at nearly 100 during most of the trip.

The Dream is absolutely gorgeous in real life and is a beautiful ship. We didn't really get our last day on CC as tropical storm Emily arrived upon us. It rained all day, but we got off for an hour anyway. It was such a shame wasting all the food at cookies, but we were all onboard and sailing away by 2 pm. It was wild, I have never been that close to a bad storm at sea before, but it gave us a chance to explore the ship instead.

I've been catching up, thanks to lynne's great recaps and the last tranche over the last few days, and finally finished :)

A few things:-

Belated happy birthday Pat, sounds like you had a wonderful day :cake:

Claire, I hope Lee's foot/toe gets better soon. I can sympathise, I am always doing that before we go on holiday :rotfl2: it's a standing joke amongst our friends, I have done at least 6 of mine :lmao:

Margaret, we are flying out of London City too on the morning of the cruise :thumbsup2 British Airways allows you a handbag too as well as your carryon bag

:welcome: all new cruisers

Condolences to those who have lost loved ones and best wishes and prayers to those with sick loved ones.

Sarah well done on the M&S purchase :thumbsup2 I love a bargain :lovestruc

Can't wait to see everyone's new shoes on the cruise :cool1:

Too bad this threat won't work. He'll just say, "since I paid for half of it, it's irrelevant that only your name is on the envelope."

Touche!
He thinks like me what is mine is mine and what's John's is mine as well!!

Received our docs earlier this afternoon! :thumbsup2

I checked the back of one of last year's Navs, and it states "Bars are solely for adults 18 and older, except during scheduled family events. Adults must be 21 and older to consume alcoholic beverages." I remember several family events being held in the Promenade Lounge and some in Rockin' Bar D (I really wish they had picked a different name :confused3 but that's a different topic), but I'm not sure about the others. Yes, the whole club area (Beat Street) is off limits to the under 18's after 9pm.

I think there was a general "game time" in the sportsbar area during the day b/c we saw children there playing board games w/ their folks on a few occasions.

Thanks! I was trying to figure out what goes on during the day with Disney, or where most events are held onboard. We try to avoid the sun (or at least watch pool games from the deck), but recalled on our prior cruises having those types of venues for various activities.

The kids (DS, DNiece and DNephew) had a great time. I, unfortuantely, had a client that needed a large federal grant written at the last minute so I spent nearly the whole week in our room at OKW. To those I promised to send FairyGodmailer cards to...I got them all done and then lost them when I left my camera bag behind at Cape May. Don't ask me why, but I got my camera bag and camera bag back (thank goodness!)...but the money, my annual pass, and the post cards in my bag were just gone. Fortunately, it wasn't a ton of money and I was able to replace the annual pass with my ID, but the post cards....:confused3... Why anyone would take them is beyond me!

I have tons of pages to catch up on. I'm way back on page 106!

Karen

That is so awful, Karen! I'm so sorry for that.

I hear you (and I don't have kids). It's easy to forget how you guys have to work around the hours you can get in the nursery. I think the kids' clubs for those out of diapers is more convenient for planning, as it's open most of the time and you can just drop them in without planning.

I think for those with infants under twelve months, they have the most challenging time with scheduling. Flounders only allows four infants at one time, but many more toddlers (from what I read). There were spa appointment times I tried to snag with a toddler and the system wouldn't let me.

popcorn:: I'm curious the outcome of this one!

I was starting a tutoring session online today, and told Curt we needed to check the mail. He was good... I saw him walk back in and he brought me the DCL envelope unopened. He never interrupts tutoring... but knew to do so for THIS! :yay:

Travel documents arrived here in California today!:banana::banana:

Auntlynne is correct. When we upgraded last EBTA at port we used a sharpie and wrote our new room numbers on luggage tags. We were initially guarantee but got our rooms assigned before receiving documents. :confused3.

We leave for London on the 3rd so am starting to pack:yay:

My cruise booklet came via regular mail. I wonder if DCL is saving money in the continental US by not using FedEx?
Mine's always come by regular mail. I'm not sure what makes them decide between FedEx and regular mail but for us it's always been mail.

Welcome back :goodvibes So sorry to hear someone stole all those things for you. How horrible for someone to steal all those post cards! At least they didn't take the camera too that would be even worse of them. :confused3

He thinks like me what is mine is mine and what's John's is mine as well!!

You mean that isn't how it's suppose to work. :rotfl:

Sounds right!

Just got home and mail hasn't come yet, so there is still hope for me to intercept! :)
Good luck!

Okay - found the good scans that I can really read the Navigators :)

We always go to the Disney Junior dance party and Lorelei loves it. Last time we went there was only 3 other kids there and goofy came. So we got tons of great pics of the 2 of them. I highly recommend it if you're up and ready.

Hey everyone

Been very busy last couple week with personal trainer exams and i have now qualified as a spin instructor :cool1:
Colette

Congrats!!! That is so awesome. I've been wanting to try a spinning class at the gym but haven't been able to work it in. I can't wait to try the one on the ship. Maybe I'll see you there. :goodvibes

Guess what just showed up?

Jeremy: "Why does it only have your name on it? I want one with MY name on it." :rotfl2:

I said "maybe you should make the arrangements next time, then."

*crickets*

So was the new smell of the documents worth the wait???

congrats!!! only ever taken one (taster) spin class and it almost killed me so never again. but well done!

i'll have to remember that one.....

Tell your DH that he is not the only one with a purple toe. I dropped 9 pounds of lead on my right middle toe on Saturday before my dives. It is about this color::upsidedow but it does not hurt

dive weights should come with a warning on them...... not done this personally but come pretty darn close.....

This was a solid block weight too, not the "softer" bead kind. I just need one of those Bill Engvall stupid signs. LOL

yeah we had the solid lead ones too. slippery when wet is an understatement......

I spent a while looking over last year's Navigators. Does anyone remember what the menu was like for Villians' Night? Just curious...and imagining some very interesting entrees...
