Also the price to have a shirt pressed is less than $2. I do not remember the exact amount. I think around $1.50. I sent all of DH's and dad's dress shirts out when we first boarded to be pressed only. Worked great.

Was it an overnight service like it is in hotels? Put it in the bag outside your room before going to sleep and it comes back in the AM?

I assume for the first night's dinner we'll probably just do a polo shirt since everything nice could be wrinkled.

I asked you a while back but never got an answer I don't think, but what does smootenloopers mean? Its such an unusual word/name, I'm curious.

Years ago I worked as a bank teller and our head teller used to amuse himself during slow times coming up with comical variations of the name. Smootenloopers was one of his creations and it kind of stuck while I was there. I frequently use it on services like this where you have to select a login and have never found it to be used by someone else already!

Just went and checked through my history. Two books I got for free are no longer free (must have been on sale). In the $0.99 category, I liked Threads of Honor and Dangerous Legacy. Both by Gordon Ryan.

Yes... you put your laundry in a bag and fill out the slip.. mark it cleaned or just pressed. Your things are delivered to your room by 5pm the next night.

Also there were 2 days that there was a special laundry price. All you could stuff into your laundry bag for $30.

Did my grad work at RIC many yrs ago, and one dd lives close to No Smithfield. I love RI, have many wonderful memories of the merry-go-round at Watch Hill.

Watch Hill is gorgeous and I have a bunch of friends that went to RIC. Nice to see a fellow New Englander on board... We're a hearty bunch

DH and I are big fans of Dr. Who as well. DH has watched since Tom Baker was the doctor. My first doctor episode was the empty child with Eccleston. Tennant was my favorite. Best episode ever was Blink. Catherine Tate was great as the doctor donna. Sorry to those of you who have absolutely no idea what I am talking about.

Netflix has all of the newer seasons from Eccleston to the present. Tennant and Billie Piper were my favorites... but I love Tate in her comedy bits (Catherine Tate show is laugh out loud funny). She and Tennant are playing the west end in a shakespeare play which is closing 5 days before i fly into london Can't complain though... DCL!!!

Love DH. Have tiny TARDIS and DALEK cell phone charms amidst my Disney keychains. What a jumble! Both Disney and DH fire my imagination-- probably why I enjoy both so much.

Love Love Love this! I have a history degree from university of rhode island (along with teaching) so Dr Who's stories of the past are really enjoyable to me, apart from the imaginative story lines that us Disney peeps love.

I figured this young lad just out of school needed to see London. If this TA turns him into a cruiser, he might become well acquainted with Barcelona, like you.

Tower of London with our tour guide was great. The guides are all former military men.

Tis very true Lynne. I have no doubt I'll be back to barcelona on a TA. I have a few goals on the cruise... one of them is to meet new people and have a blast... but the other is to see how the company runs a ship. I see potential employment down the line. Disney Conservation Education internship in january *fingers crossed* and who knows from there!!

We now have a bonafide experienced Riverdance student who can turn us into the Magical Dis-co Twinkle Toes that we know deep down that we really are all in the time it takes to wash/dry one load of clothes! She can't partake of our FAB drinks, but we can provide her with all the Coke she wants! Our hallway Riverdance fame is now in her hands!

Is there a ticket window near the Port? Do they sell the ferry & taxi tickets to the baths? Do you recall how much they charge? Sorry for all the questions but i'm guessing this way would be cheaper than DCL's excursion.

There was someone from the tourist board handing out some information right when you get off the ship. The ferry dock is about 4-5 blocks. You can buy a ticket plus taxi when you get there. I think we paid about $32 per person round trip for both.

I think I read that the Disney Baths tour is 4 hours - but I'm sure the tour duration is on the website where you can sign up for the tour.

We (mainly I) have been on edge the last couple of days. We just decided to start letting Bella (the Beagle), who is turning two this month, stay home all day by herself (11 or so hours). She has the two cats to keep her company so she's not totally alone.

She had been going to a woman's house all day during the week (she did "doggie daycare" in her home) since we got her at 10 weeks old.

I can check in on her to see what's going on via webcam (gotta love iPhones!) but we're both just hoping that since she was around people and other dogs all day long since she was 10 weeks old that this does not cause a change in her personality.

I don't know how you guys with actual human babies do it! Furbabies are hard enough to not feel guilty about!

We have just the opposite problem. Ours are fine with staying home in their crates while we're out. They have beds, blankies, toys - I wouldn't mind staying there for the day! Three have boarded with no problems at all, but Neville and Juanita have never boarded before. Neville has stayed with my parents, but never with "strangers," and Juanita has always gone with us/me.

So to get ready for this, I've taken Neville and Juanita to doggie day-care at the boarding facility, twice now, with several more visits scheduled. Luna has gone, too, as Neville seems to feel more secure when he's with her - and she loves the place! Well, Neville has been fine - he was a little shy the first time, but much better the second. Juanita, on the other hand, has tried to bolt from the crate every time they tried to take her out, then bitten and peed on the staff! I'm lucky they're very patient and understanding of dogs with "issues."

I'm thinking Neville might be ready to try an over-nighter with Luna. If he does well with that, I'll cut back on his day-care and let Juanita go a couple of times a week to give the staff more time with her. Luna will still go with her - she and Juanita adore each other, even though Luna is about six times Juanita's size.

We've gotten in the habit of wearing our "boarding outfits" to dinner. Also one less outfit to haul. However, traveling solo for the first time, I won't be in matching shirts with my dinner partners. Weird.
