I should have thought to do this before I changed my cruise, but better late than never...maybe? Sorry, just didn't think, duh!

So, some of you know I was booked on this cruise and fell pregnant, so we've changed to Hawaii in April 2012. So I released my room for the TA, It was room 7506 in case any one wants to ring DCL and try to get it. :goodvibes

Well, isn't that nice! Some of us get to meet you over there too - AND your new wee one!!! Congratulations.

Why is that Jools? You should have had some.:)

You could have popped some chocolate in the bag too. Flights need chocolate!;)

I am in awe of you for sticking to a diet over Easter or other special time with special naughty food around. I could never do it until last year and that was only because I HAD to!

Hi Hayley, I thought you were doing what I have a habit of doing and posting on the wrong thread!!!:lmao:

 Sometimes feeling so bad after over eating does help that initial problem of getting into that diet. Keep remembering this feeling(plus that inch you need to get into your new dress;)). I hope you manage to get going Sarah as I know how dispiriting it is to keep messing it up and feeling bad.

Perhaps you weight loss peeps should have a sort of official group on here so you can chivvy each other on, praise, commiserate etc, sort of more organised than at the moment. I know another cruise I was on some thread members started a separate thread, but if you did it on here we could all encourage you too. I have been there, all my life till I was ill, so I do really understand.

No chocolate here, either, but I didn't stay on my diet - ice cream daily - small portion, but still!!! And for dinner, we had cranberry waldorf salad (full of sugar) and scallop potato casserole which I adore but is about 30K calories per square bite.

We have a weightloss thread over on the creative board, and had one on a previeous cruise, but both of them started out full of enthusiasm but pretty much died a slow death - somewhat like most diets, I guess:confused3

Claire, you will get a lot of pleasure out of your gazebo! It's lovely, and now I want one;)

Happy Day, all!

Not any more.....;)

Thanks for posting that hun, I wanted to be back on Deck 6 & now I am. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Room 5001 (also a sideways, 11b) will be showing available if anyone wants to grab that. :thumbsup2

wooooooo hooooooo welcome back to the Deck 6 crew Claire :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Does anyone happen to know why DCL only offers the Dine-and-Play program at late seating? (Why not early seating?) Is it due to the show being afterwards with early seating? :confused3

I know that was a determining criteria for us... having a 5 year old sit through a 90-minute dinner versus 45-minute dinner.

Fab news Claire, glad you got it :thumbsup2

Welcome back to deck 6 :goodvibes You're our neighbour!

:dance3: What number are you in? I am so happy. :goodvibes

Happy Day, all!

It's so lovely here at the moment Linda, we are having a bit of a heat wave which is unheard of for the UK in April....it's normally April showers not 27 degrees!!! We have spent most of the lovely 4 day Easter weekend out in the garden using the gazebo. The dogs love it too as it gives them somewhere shady to cool off. :thumbsup2

wooooooo hooooooo welcome back to the Deck 6 crew Claire :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks Sarah......I am here to party with the Deck 6 crew! :dancer::dancer::dancer:

I am hopeless where desserts are concerned. I always look at the dessert menu first when in a restaurant. Unfortunately it is a separate one on the ships, but I do know I will always find something I will like. Well at least one!!!

I can usually resist the deserts, it's the cheese I have trouble with :rotfl: when you are passing Rockin Bar D or going to Sessions, I always have to grab some brie on the way past :thumbsup2

Here's the photo of the Gazebo we put together earlier.....it looks so lovely that i'm rather annoyed we left it sitting in a box for so long. :lmao:

And whilst i'm in Photobucket here are a couple of photos of my doggies playing on their favourite toy, an old rope tied to a tree with a hoop tied on the bottom.

Claire, watch out I am driving down to kidnap those gorgeous dogs of yours and, while I'm there, I'm having the gazebo as well. That would look great on our side patio and I haven't been able to convince Stevie to buy one :confused3

Thanks....they are my fur babies. :lovestruc

I call my 2 yorkies my fur balls :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Stevie
Happy Birthday to you!

Just imagin it sung by three voices :dance3::bday:

Thanks Leanne, I have just shown this to Stevie and he was chuckling :)

Not any more.....;)

Claire you've deserted us !!! Don't sound so sad to be leaving Deck 5 :lmao::lmao:

On this trip I'll be traveling with my 2 sons, 4 and 7. I originally had early dining but then I started to think about the time change (the ship time at sailing will be 6 hours ahead of our home time) and switched to late seating. In addition, it seems that Disney does the large table/mixed group seating. I've done that when cruising before I had kids, but with the kids I'm only used to having our own table.

So my question is - is anyone else with younger kids doing the late seating? One of the things I'm looking forward to on a Disney cruise is other kids at dinner. And if we are going to be at a large table it would be great if there were some other kids there so they could maybe entertain each other.

I'll bet you can find someone on this thread w/ children of similar ages and then link your dining reservations so that you'll be sat together. We've never done this w/ Disney but know that other cruise lines offer this service.

Maybe someone can post if they've had experience w/ this or if they'd like to share a table w/ GatorMom and her two boys.

While surfing the Internet today, I came across this page where all of the Navigators for last year's WBTA (showing the daily activites that were available) are posted: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-stateroom-navigator.htm

That is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing! :goodvibes

Well, today is a test.....our air conditioning went out over the weekend and it is in the 80's here in Florida. We called and the technician will be here from 3-5 :scared1: so I'll be working all day in the house with the temps around 80!

Speaking of desserts .... as we often do ... we went out for dinner last evening and our DDs had this:

Oh my word, what are they eating, this would be my idea of heaven :cloud9: Topped off with Flakes, and are those Maltesers I spy :faint:

... Just finished & am sitting having a cuppa tea & some Maltesers. :rolleyes1

Between you and Sarah I believe you are trying to torture me, with my lack of Maltesers :upsidedow. I love your Gazebo, I looked at one just like it a few years back .. enjoy it for me :goodvibes

I'd sign up with that idea ... I am refusing to buy new clothes when I have perfectly good, brand new clothes hanging in my closet, that I was going to fit into last cruise :scared1:

Sounds like our weekend; worked in the nursery last night during the Good Friday service; had five babies; two of which needed a lot of holding and comforting. It was fun lining up the three others for dinner. Brought back old memories feeding my twins.

Tomorrow we serve again in the first service nursery; then church with the family. We've been invited to Easter dinner at our son's future in-laws (out in the farmlands in central CA). Busy weekend but all good cuz its all about family :)

Happy Easter everyone.

Ed and I team teach the class just after nursery at church, the 3 year olds, we've served there for six years now and absolutely love it. My heart breaks every year when I have turn them over to the next teacher, but then we get a whole new set of kids to love :lovestruc

Ah, but that 's the trick - if I don't buy any chocolate for myself I won't be able to eat it.:) But put me a restaurant with an all you can eat buffet and several desserts will be consumed. Similarly when family visit from the UK and bring over Galaxy and other chocolate treats, I will keep snacking on them until they are all gone :rotfl2::rotfl2: The reason I need to lose weight is that I overindulged in desserts, clotted cream and chocolates when back in the UK at the beginning of the year :rolleyes1

I don't know, but that was another consideration for doing the late seating.

We have been MIA as well, lately - we need to catch back up with the boards. Can't wait for September to roll around!

Nickole, Congratulations on your graduation & DH's graduation!!! How exciting for your family! :jumping1:

Hello and welcome aboard. Congratulations on graduating :dance3:

We are Sarah and Tony from Wales, 2nd WBTA.

Welcome aboard Nickole, Dom & Kirsten. :dance3: You have lots to celebrate onboard.

We are Claire & Lee, this will be our 3rd cruise. We look forward to getting to know you. :)

Congratulations on your graduation I know how good that feels my graduation is in June :) it took me longer though (41):)

Col

:welcome: We are Leanne, DH Ken, and DD Morgan (will be 9 as of sailing) and my parents Ted and Dorothy. Looking forward to meeting you so very soon! :woohoo:

Thank you all for the re-welcome to the meet and the graduation congrats. It tooks us awhile but it feels good to be done. I cannot believe that the time is flying by as fast has it has. Usually time is dragging butt when you have something this big planned.

I just have to say that you all are hard to keep up with, but here goes:

I forgot to confirm that we are still on deck 8.

Happy Birthday Susie and Stevie

Happy Easter everyone

Thank you for the food porn, both desserts looked very delicious.

Well I have decided I will not buy any new clothes until August...so that I have some motivation to lose some pounds.

6511, you're my only neighbour :)

:thumbsup2

:dance3: We'll try not to be noisy neighbours.

Claire you've deserted us !!! Don't sound so sad to be leaving Deck 5 :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: What time are you coming? I don't need anymore surprise visitors!! I haven't recovered from the last one. :scared1:

:guilty: I'm sorry to be leaving you but at least you'll still see my ugly mug at dinner every night. ;) Maybe another one will become available on Deck 6 & you can join us all.

:rotfl: Sorry to torture you!

That is soooo sad, did they say if she died from the drop in the water, or from her original problem.

No they didn't say, all it said was she was in intensive care & didn't recover. :sad1:

:lmao::lmao:

We were originally on deck 6, but moved to deck 5 for the chance at a sideways. If one did become available I would jump to it. At the minute, it's just one more set of stairs to help work off some of the calories :rotfl:

I booked a Cabana last week for our August Dream cruise, as it seemed they were flying off the shelf and everyone was snapping them up.

Has anyone used them before and do you think they are worth it? There will be 8 of us sharing it, and we are splitting the cost, so it's $250 for each couple.

I thought by off-setting the price of the snorkel hire, bikes etc for the kids it wasn't too bad :confused3
